There are numerous health benefits associated with meditation, and
it is officially recognized as a legitimate complementary medicine
for healing the body, mind and spirit. But for you to reap all
these benefits, you have to master specific meditation techniques
targeted at improving specific aspects of your life. But meditation
is not always easy to master. Practice is required before you can
achieve that peaceful state of being, and patience is, without
question, a key component on our progress through meditation.
Meditation techniques have existed in history since the first
philosophies and religions appeared. A common misconception about
meditation is that it only revolves around sitting in a certain
posture and emptying your mind. In fact there are numerous
meditation techniques involving physical and mental activity and
others are even accompanied by some form of exercise. The goal of
the book Meditation for Beginners: Basic Meditation Techniques is
to provide various meditation techniques that a beginner can use to
achieve certain objectives.
Joao de Deus Brasil's book comprises two independent but related
works: Why I Believe in God and Atheism: a Self-Delusion. In Why I
Believe in God, the author reveals the origins of his faith whereas
in Atheism: a Self-Delusion he refutes atheists' arguments
expressed by their current world leader, Richard Dawkins, in his
best-seller God, a Delusion. Regarding the renowned biologist's
ideas, Joao de Deus states: In his book, Richard Dawkins does not
provide any theory capable of scientifically justifying his
negation of God's existence. And besides, he does not put forward
any evidence whatsoever, either scientific or empirical, in support
of that nonexistence. Between the lines of his own words, one can
clearly see his subconscious knowledge about the life of the
spirit, anterior and posterior to material life. By analyzing his
quotations of other wise, monistic men, without even excluding the
magnificent Albert Einstein, one can clearly perceive that they
themselves have this subconscious knowledge, and they reveal it as
they express their thoughts. Materialism is, therefore, a delusion.
The true monist does not exist, for all of us have subconscious
knowledge of our spiritual existence before, during, and after our
material lives. We express ourselves according to this knowledge,
whoever we are: believers or skeptics, intellectuals, scientists,
or illiterate peasants. In the same way, we are also aware of the
existence of God, and that's why faith is revealed in children. For
the same reason, among many others as we have seen, faith is
revealed in all peoples and cultures, with no exception. These
realities, perfectly clear for those who want to see, provide
irrefutable, absolute proof that atheism, like materialism and
monism, is a self-delusion.

Shameless Verses takes you on a journey through chapters of the
author's life from adolescence to womanhood. This book reveals some
of Akira's deepest issues, prayers and praises. Exposed in this

Celebration: Eucharistic Faith and Practice surveys the Bible's
witnesses to God's interactions with his people. It sketches the
contours of the theological disagreements that have beset the
Church in light of attempts to incorporate Aristotelian philosophy
into its sacramental theology. Author Bruce Upham presents a way
past the conflict. He proposes that Christians turn their attention
to Jesus Christ's promises to be present bodily in the Eucharist
and to his calling to his followers to become his body-his arms and
legs-through the celebration of the Eucharist for the sake of the
Holy Spirit's mission. Working from a variety of sources,
Celebration draws upon highlights of the scriptural testimony to
the presence and work of God, references to the Church's history of
theology, and insights from the work of philosophers. It weaves
together these strands to create a compact presentation of a
theologically defensible understanding of the real presence,
without rearguing the issues that cluster around Aristotle's
philosophy of being. Whether you have found yourself living
according to the Catholic perspective or the Protestant view of the
real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, Celebration extends the
hope of discovering a way to transcend past conflicts and to
return, instead, to the joy of celebrating Christ's eucharistic
gift in both faith and practice.

We have many words that can describe our seasons of life. These
words can lead to God's promises of love, mercy, and compassion.
The Father wants to meet with you, refresh you, and encourage
you...one word at a time. Jenny invites you to remember to live
each day in the Light of God's faithfulness as she equips you with
scriptures to remind you that, In Christ, every moment is a God
moment. This devotional book is designed to be a study tool
adaptable for group study, Sunday School lessons, devotions, or
personal quiet times with the Lord. JENNY PFISTER is a powerful
communicator, Bible teacher, and speaker whom God has anointed and
used in a mighty way to touch the lives of countless women and men
who are seeking the Lord. Gifted and lead by the Holy Spirit, Jenny
thrives on teaching the Word of God through weekly
interdenominational women's Bible studies and a weekly TV series
called One Brushstroke at a Time. She also leads and teaches at
women's retreats and conferences, offers spiritual direction and
counsel to many, and regularly preaches and leads worship services
at her home church, Breath of God Worship Ministry in Buckhannon,
West Virginia. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Jenny felt
overwhelming love for Jesus at an early age, and sensed God calling
her to her first teaching ministry at the age of 22 at The
Whitehouse Fellowship, a singles ministry at Timonium Presbyterian
Church. At the same time, while teaching music at a private Jewish
school in Owings Mills, Maryland, Jenny fell in love with the Old
Testament. Layer upon layer, it exploded with life and relevance
and became the canvas on which the Lord would paint a perfect
picture of unity, truth, and fulfillment of the Old and New
Testaments. The Lord was gradually birthing in Jenny the ministry
that she would later establish, Brushstroke Ministries. After
moving to West Virginia to serve in the Southern Baptist Convention
as the state's keyboard and piano specialist, Jenny began to
conduct women's Bible studies in homes and churches. In February
2001, she stepped out in faith and founded Brushstroke Ministries,
a three-fold ministry of worship, prayer, and study of the Word of
God for women of all denominations. Her fervent passion for the
Word, along with her spiritual gifting and keen ear for the Lord's
direction, has been Jenny's motivation for writing this series of
devotional books. She paints a picture with her words, one
brushstroke at a time, capturing the beauty of the Lord and His
unfailing love for us. Those associated with this blessed ministry
pray that as you read these devotionals, you will be touched by His
Peace and find comfort in His Presence. To Him be all the glory
Satan tries to corrupt every good thing that God gives us, and he
often succeeds at this through our own ignorance and complacency.
In Ultimate Truth and Lies, author Adelle Yvette Potgieter exposes
the web of lies that Satan has spun to ensnare believers and
unbelievers alike. In turn, she counters those lies and their
consequences with the real truths about God. Part I provides an
overview of topics relating to varied aspects of our daily lives,
such as poverty and suffering; religion and custom; destiny,
purpose, and choice; gender, marriage, and sex; emotion; and
forgiveness. It challenges traditional mainstream thinking and
shows that manmade rules, inspired by Satan, deny the opportunity
for happy, fulfilling lives. Part II focuses on self-development
exercises and explores issues such as anger, rage, sadness, and
negative thoughts that impact our physical, mental, and spiritual
well-being. Potgieter offers skills to change your life for the
better. Part III is a collection of thought-provoking poems that
will inspire the reader and invites reflection of personal life
truths. Ultimate Truth and Lies challenges you to examine your
life. Are you living as a victim of Satan or as a victorious
spiritual warrior of the living God? A happy life is yours for the
taking by accepting the responsibility and undertaking the work
necessary to reach that goal.
In The Christ-Man Chronicles, Cooper-Giles posits a compelling
argument for both clergy and politicians, and their social issues,
which should manifest and morph into models of progressive change
and enlightenment. This book chronicles somewhat the search for bin
Laden and Al Qaeda, the "War on Terror," and the incidental attacks
on Iraq in March 2003. The narrative also alludes to some reasons
why there is much animosity and hatred toward America and some of
its allies, especially so-called Israel, in the Muslim world. It
affirms the double-standards, dubious, and often racist nature of
America's government policies in both domestic and foreign affair:
particularly, its arrogant imperialistic attitude in dealing with
Third World countries.Nevertheless, Cooper-Giles proclaims that
everyone has the conscious potent ability to become Christ-Men in
their personal journey here on Earth with the discovery of one's
"divine" mission and purpose, and the eventual understanding of
being the person that one is meant to be: this knowledge is gained
by distinguishing the difference between the illusionists and the
creative value-producers around us Everyone should understand that
they are made in the image of God, our Creator, as a distinct
individual, who has a divine, a unique, and a separate soul-force
different than anyone else on this planet...
