New Medical Diagnosis Models Based on Generalized Type-2 Fuzzy Logic (Paperback, 1st ed. 2021): Patricia Melin, Emanuel... New Medical Diagnosis Models Based on Generalized Type-2 Fuzzy Logic (Paperback, 1st ed. 2021)
Patricia Melin, Emanuel Ontiveros-Robles, Oscar Castillo
R1,320 Discovery Miles 13 200 Ships in 12 - 17 working days

This book presents different experimental results as evidence of the good results obtained compared with respect to conventional approaches and literature references based on fuzzy logic. Nowadays, the evolution of intelligence systems for decision making has been reached considerable levels of success, as these systems are getting more intelligent and can be of great help to experts in decision making. One of the more important realms in decision making is the area of medical diagnosis, and many kinds of intelligence systems provide the expert good assistance to perform diagnosis; some of these methods are, for example, artificial neural networks (can be very powerful to find tendencies), support vector machines, that avoid overfitting problems, and statistical approaches (e.g., Bayesian). However, the present research is focused on one of the most relevant kinds of intelligent systems, which are the fuzzy systems. The main objective of the present work is the generation of fuzzy diagnosis systems that offer competitive classifiers to be applied in diagnosis systems. To generate these systems, we have proposed a methodology for the automatic design of classifiers and is focused in the Generalized Type-2 Fuzzy Logic, because the uncertainty handling can provide us with the robustness necessary to be competitive with other kinds of methods. In addition, different alternatives to the uncertainty modeling, rules-selection, and optimization have been explored. Besides, different experimental results are presented as evidence of the good results obtained when compared with respect to conventional approaches and literature references based on Fuzzy Logic.

Lecture Notes in Analog Electronics - Discrete and Integrated Large Signal Amplifiers (Hardcover, 1st ed. 2023): Vanco B.... Lecture Notes in Analog Electronics - Discrete and Integrated Large Signal Amplifiers (Hardcover, 1st ed. 2023)
Vanco B. Litovski
R2,660 Discovery Miles 26 600 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book discusses larger signal amplifiers (denoted as PA). Large signal amplifiers are dealing with signals whose magnitude is such that the operation of the active element can no longer be considered linear. They are usually designed to get as much power gain and efficiency as possible. That is why they are often called power amplifiers. In this book, two implementations of PA are considered. First, it is of interest to obtain large signals (current or voltage) at the output of a cascade of direct coupled amplifiers. In this case, linearity, frequency response, and speed are the most important requirements. Second are real power amplifiers where the power delivered to the load is of primary interest. Of course, efficiency, linearity, and high frequency response are of interest, too. A very special attention is paid to modern power electronic components such as Power BJT, VDMOS, IGBT, SiC MOS, and GaN HEMT. DC and switching properties of all these devices are studied in much detail. This book also includes a set of appendices which cover: solved problems, SPICE simulation results for selected set of circuits, and a short review of microelectronic technology process

New Approaches to Image Processing based Failure Analysis of Nano-Scale ULSI Devices (Paperback, New): Zeev Zalevsky, Pavel... New Approaches to Image Processing based Failure Analysis of Nano-Scale ULSI Devices (Paperback, New)
Zeev Zalevsky, Pavel Livshits, Eran Gur
R970 Discovery Miles 9 700 Ships in 12 - 17 working days

"New Approaches to Image Processing Based Failure Analysis of Nano-Scale ULSI Devices" introduces the reader to transmission and scanning microscope image processing for metal and non-metallic microstructures.

Engineers and scientists face the pressing problem in ULSI development and quality assurance: microscopy methods can t keep pace with the continuous shrinking of feature size in microelectronics. Nanometer scale sizes are below the resolution of light, and imaging these features is nearly impossible even with electron microscopes, due to image noise.

This book presents novel "smart" image processing methods, applications, and case studies concerning quality improvement of microscope images of microelectronic chips and process optimization. It explains an approach for high-resolution imaging of advanced metallization for micro- and nanoelectronics. This approach obviates the time-consuming preparation and selection of microscope measurement and sample conditions, enabling not only better electron-microscopic resolution, but also more efficient testing and quality control. This in turn leads to productivity gains in design and development of nano-scale ULSI chips.

The authors also present several approaches for super-resolving low-resolution images to improve failure analysis of microelectronic chips.
Acquaints users with new software-based approaches to enhance high-resolution microscope imaging of microchip structuresDemonstrates how these methods lead to productivity gains in the development of ULSI chipsPresents several techniques for the superresolution of images, enabling engineers and scientists to improve their results in failure analysis of microelectronic chips"
