Carly felt compelled to write a book on Massage Therapy. Being new
to the profession she wanted to expand on areas and subjects that
she felt needed additional attention. She has written this book to
be informational, not concentrating on the techniques used to
perform massage, but rather on all of the in-between material that
somehow can get over looked or really not thought about until well
on your way in the field of massage therapy. She is confident that
readers will find this book to be helpful and answer some of their
questions while pursuing the massage therapy field. This book will
provide insight into potential work sites, how to market and find a
niche in the massage field, how to implement policies and
procedures and above all provide a quick overview of what a typical
day can be like in the life of a massage therapist. Carly was
inspired by becoming a Certified Massage Therapist, that she was
further inspired to record the information she learned in the form
of this book. The ideas and examples presented are not only solely
opinion based, but are subjects that should be considered when
pursuing the career as a massage therapist.

Do you love change, creation, simplicity and touch? Metamorphosis
is a simple, subtle yet deeply profound touch therapy. Learn to
work on yourself, others and animals. Robert St. John, the founder
of Metamorphosis, noticed that throughout time the primary stress
patterns of war, conflict, illness and disharmony have never really
changed. He saw that all of our individual and collective problems
stem from the same source, with varying degrees of severity.
Metamorphosis is a self-healing art and a philosophy on creating
greater consciousness within. We use the principle of reflex points
to address the unconscious blocks that arrive at conception that
create conflict, disease and disharmony in our lives and in our
collective experience. As these patterns release we experience
greater awareness, better health, genuine relationships and less
conflict in life. As we change the world around us changes. This
book teaches you the principles and practice of Metamorphosis, so
that you can practice within your home. Experience in the healing
arts is not necessary. You can work on yourself, others and
animals. Robert did a wonderful job of reminding us that we are our
own healers, and when we step into that mindset, our bodies and
minds are capable of tremendous change - a true Metamorphosis
Cupping therapy is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique
that has been used for thousands of years as a highly effective
treatment for a variety of conditions, including skin conditions
and musculoskeletal complaints. Many bodyworkers are very
interested in learning about how to use Cupping Therapy within
their own specialties, and this book is for them. Drawing on 40
years of expertise, Ilkay Chirali provides a wealth of information
on cupping for those without TCM knowledge, covering safety
information, equipment and the different variations of cupping and
their best uses. Beautifully illustrated with over 120 full-colour
photos, it empowers physiotherapists, massage therapists, sports
medicine professionals and beauty therapists to add cupping therapy
to their toolbox of techniques.

From the people of ancient Greece to the tribes of the Pacific
Ocean, massage has been a significant element in medicine,
midwifery, folk healing, and athletics. Yet the rich presence of
healing touch is rarely manifest in the telling of human history.

art's ancient foundations, Calvert's "History of Massage" leads us

martial arts traditions and Native American sweat lodges, to
discover the significant role of touch therapy in the life of the
world's people.
With rich use of anecdote and illustrated text, the author details
the cross-cultural healing and sensual applications of massage, the
development of massage technologies, and the emerging trends of
massage in the twenty-first century. "The History of Massage" is
groundbreaking work that should not be missed by anyone interested
in massage and its benefits for healing.
