Anyone who grew up watching Sesame Street on public television will
quickly be able to identify the inspiration for Avenue Q. Most of
the characters in the show are puppets, and the set depicts several
tenements on a rundown street in New York City. Several characters
are parodies of Sesame Street regulars: for example, the roommates
Rod and Nicky are based on Bert and Ernie, while Trekkie Monster is
based on Cookie Monster. However, these characters are in their
twenties and thirties and face adult problems; despite the fuzzy
faces, this is not a children's show. After a run lasting more than
six years and 2,534 performances, the Broadway production of Avenue
Q ranks in the top 25 longest running shows in Broadway history and
continues to have productions run worldwide.
All five books of The Complete Piano Player series are published in
this single volume at a substantial savings over the price of the
five individual books. Complete with keyboard chart.
The 'Pump Boys' sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry
country and the 'Dinettes', Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double
Cupp diner next door. Together they fashion an evening of country
western songs that received unanimous raves on and off Broadway.
With heartbreak and hilarity, they perform on guitars, piano, bass
and, yes, kitchen utensils.
Studies are an established part of every instrumentalist's
training. They place technical problems in musical contexts, and
can be invaluable aids to development. 76 Graded Studies for Flute

variety of styles, from Camus to Telemann. Also included are a
number of specially composed studies by Paul Harris that introduce
aspects of 20th-century style and considerably extend the scope of
the selection. It is a must-have resource for all students and
teachers. 76 Studies for Flute Book One are arranged in order of
increasing difficulty, according to a carefully planned technical
progression from Grades 1-5 standard. **ABRSM selected piece (Flute
2018-2021): Hessian Dance.

This setting of the Te Deum, dedicated to the wife of Franz I of
Austria, is a rare example of a work from Haydn's late period that
doesn't feature soloists. The second of Haydn's Te Deum settings,
the work was performed in September 1800 on the name-day of the
wife of Haydn's patron, Prince Nicolaus Esterhazy II, and it
features the C major tonality and extensive use of trumpets and
drums that were often associated with festive ceremony. This
edition includes an orchestral reduction by Denis McCaldin, and
full details of editorial practice can be found in the full score.
Complete orchestral and vocal material is available on hire/rental,
and the vocal score is also available on sale.
This insightful biography provides a closer look at one of the
entertainment world's biggest stars, with a focus on what got her
to the top-and what has kept her there. Dolly Parton has an
enviable record of accomplishment as a performer, songwriter,
recording artist, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She has
triumphed on Broadway, in the movies, and even with her own theme
park. The Words and Music of Dolly Parton probes its subject's
unique singing voice and prolific abilities as a songwriter, as
well as her impressive business savvy, fearless attitude, and an
imagination as towering as the Smoky Mountains among which she grew
up. This book focuses on Parton's most important albums and
songwriting style, examining her career from her early days in the
east Tennessee mountains through her national television exposure
on the Porter Wagoner Show, her crossover success in pop music, and
her return to her acoustic/bluegrass roots. In addition, it
explores Parton's story songs and characters, the spirituality
reflected in her music, and her important collaborations with other
artists. Rare photographs of Parton's early career from legendary
photographer Les Leverett, retired staff photographer for the Grand
Ole Opry Interviews with many of Parton's collaborators over the
years, including producers, engineers, and other artists A
discography of Dolly Parton's albums and hit songs and a list of
her awards
for SATBarB unaccompanied The shades of Finzi and Vaughan Williams
are strongly present in these three delightful unaccompanied choral
settings, and yet the style and execution are wholly Rutter's own.
O mistress mine is a jaunty jazz waltz, Be not afeard casts a
dreamy spell with dusky sonorities and magical harmonies, and Sigh
no more, ladies brings the set to a cheerfully melodious and
high-spirited conclusion.
