Use the Essdee 3 in 1 Lino Cutter and Stamp Carving Kit to carve your own MasterCut printing stamps using lino cutting tools and techniques for a unique result. Simply pop one of the printing stamps into the disc holder and use the lino cutters to carve your design. Once finished, assemble the Baren stamping tool and apply the self-adhesive stamp to the base. Ink can be applied with a roller or by using a traditional ink pad. The base of the Baren also doubles as a storage unit for the cutters keeping them safe after use.

Essdee Lino is especially made for "linocut" relief printmaking. It is 3.2mm thick and comes in one large roll that can be cut down to custom sizes and shapes. Linoleum is the definitive carving material and made using natural ingredients such as linseed oil and wood flour.

The surface of the lino is cut away using special lino cutters or a knife to form the basis of the lino print. The block is inked up with a roller (known as a brayer) and this creates a positive image when printed onto paper or fabric. The printing process can be done by hand or with a press. You can use water-based lino ink, oil-based lino ink, or a block printing medium mixed with paint.

You can prepare your lino by lightly sanding the surface with fine sandpaper, and you can soften it to ease cutting by gently warming.

Speedball Professional Relief Inks are lightfast and archival oil-based printmaking inks which can be washed up with just soap and water. Speedball : Glo n' Dark & Fluorescent Fabric Screen Printing Ink Se : Set of 4 x 4oz

Essdee water-based block printing inks are specially formulated to give a smooth flow resulting in excellent coverage and printing properties. This non-permanent ink is available in a wide variety of colours and is designed to give maximum working time whilst still maintaining excellent transfer properties. Works well on all grades of paper leaving a smooth finish. Perfect for all kinds of block printing, these 300ml tubes come with a flow control cap.

All Essdee inks are water-based so rollers and ink trays can be easily cleaned using warm water. You may also wish to use a small amount of washing-up detergent.

Fluffy swanskin blanket is highly compressible with the ability to bounce back into shape. In addition this highest quality blanket has a woven core so retains its shape for years. Regular cold/delicate wash with a wool detergent will ensure years of use. 1/4in/7mm thick.

Lawrence 1.2mm Copper Plate for etching and engraving is highly polished on one side. The polished surface is protected by a plastic film.

The plate is unbacked and will require the application of an acid-resistant stop-out if etching. As well as etching, copper is also suited to non-etch intaglio techniques such as drypoint, engraving, and mezzotint due to its inherent hardness.

This traditional easy-cut art-print lino is specially made for carving. Available in a variety of sizes and also pre-mounted onto 18mm fibreboard blocks, giving extra rigidity allowing the user to achieve consistent, flat prints.

Akua Intaglio Ink was originally formulated for intaglio printmaking, however this ink can also be applied with a brayer for relief printmaking, monotype, and collagraphs; and it will print from any plastic, wood, linoleum or metal plate. It is a soy based ink which is made with high quality lightfast pigments. The inks have a thick consistency with minimal water content and contain no toxic driers - this means a longer working time. The ink cleans up easily with a dry rag followed by soap and water. Inexpensive liquid dish detergent can be used. Never use toxic solvents. Prints can be re-soaked immediately after printing if handled carefully. Once the print is dry, Akua Intaglio is permanent. Ink will never skin or harden in the jar or the ink slab, meaning minimal ink is wasted. Wiping the plate with Akua Intaglio is easier than wiping oil-based ink, meaning you need to spend less time cleaning up.
