reflexology, other traditions are described, including Meridian
therapy, Korean Hand Reflexology, Vertical Hand Reflexology,

'Reproflexology' - the study and treatment of male and female
reproductive and fertility conditions using reflexology - is
aspecialist therapy that has been pioneered and carefully developed
by Barbara Scott over 20 years. The therapy can be applied either
as a stand-alone treatment to support natural conception or
alongside fertility treatment. This is the first book to be
published on treating fertility issues using
reflexology.Reproductive reflexology can be a minefield with much
conflicting advice being given about what practitioners can and
cannot do. Because of this many practitioners choose not to work
with clients who are having fertility issues. In this book Barbara
Scott gives clear guidance on how to gain information from clients,
how to interpret that information, how to plan treatment and what
reproflexology techniques to use. This will give practitioners the
knowledge and confidence to work with clients who have a wide range
of reproductive conditions and who are trying to conceive.
Reflexology is a safe, gentle therapy that boosts the body's
healing systems and helps combat stress. This comprehensive book
contains everything you need to know about the subject, including
zone maps of the hands and feet, techniques for working the reflex
points, advice on how to prepare for a reflexology session and a
step-by-step routine to treat the whole body. With a detailed
directory providing instructions to relieve common ailments, from
digestive problems to skin complaints, plus specialised treatments
to suit children and the elderly, this is the only guide to
reflexology you'll ever need.
Tuina, also known as Chinese massage, is one of the cornerstones of
Chinese medicine. This comprehensive introduction is written with
the needs of the student and beginning practitioner in mind, and
covers all the basic principles of the manipulation techniques
required to practise Tuina. Manipulations are a core component of
the study of Tuina as they are the primary method of carrying out
treatment. They are also the most difficult skills to master. This
book introduces the definitions, classifications and requirements
of each Tuina manipulation, describing the main points, cautions
and clinical applications, as well as providing detailed
instructions for how each manipulation should be performed. Every
explanation is accompanied by a diagram, and the accompanying
online content demonstrates all the techniques in action. This book
will be an essential learning tool for students, and a handy
reference for beginning practitioners. The downloadable resources
that form part of this book are built with Adobe Flash and require
Adobe Flash Player to view. Mac OS and Windows support for Adobe
Flash Player is coming to an end, so you may not be able to view
and interact with the downloadable resources.
A comprehensive integrative handbook on fertility treatment, and
Assisted Reproduction Techniques (ART), the book is written by
specialist contributors for health professionals and Complementary
and Alternative Medicine (CAM) practitioners, and for those
seriously considering ART themselves. Integrated approaches to
infertility offer both a greater awareness and understanding of the
combination of factors that can influence the chances of success
when undergoing different types of ART. Leading experts review the
evidence and discuss the benefits of different approaches to
support the physiological and emotional aspects of fertility and
fertility treatment. The book covers everything from identifying
and treating conditions that may reduce fertility, including
immunological abnormalities and specific male and female factors,
to how nutrition, acupuncture, reflexology and yoga can support
couples going through assisted reproduction, including helping to
improve some immunological aspects. There is also a chapter that
looks specifically at support for the over 40's.

This is a concise guide to foot and hand massage for enhanced

complete healing session on the hands and feet with step-by-step
routines. It is complete with detailed maps of the body's reflex
points and zones. It includes specially devised sequences to

common ailments, including colds, headaches, tension and nausea.
Our hands have always been a means of caring and comforting, and
using our hands to release tension in our bodies is something we do
instinctively. In reflexology, you can use your fingers to apply
pressure to certain points on the feet, or sometimes on the hands.
The word 'reflex' means to reflect, and the pressure points on the
hands and feet reflect all the parts of your body, both internal
and external. This book explains how reflexology works, and
includes step-by-step techniques. It contains sequences to boost
energy levels, relieve different types of pain, relax muscles and
improve immunity, making it the ideal guide to enhancing your
physical and mental health.
Relieve stress and tension and return the body to optimum health
with this practical step-by-step manual. Clear illustrations show
how all the internal body structures and organs are mirrored in the
reflex points on the feet and hands, while a step-by-step guide
explains how to perform pressure and massage techniques to give a
full-body treatment and alleviate a variety of debilitating
disorders. There's also a special section on incorporating chakra
work and colour therapy into reflexology sessions, for those who
would like to take their practice further. Learn how to relieve
stress and alleviate common ailments with this effective holistic
treatment; Suitable for beginners and those with experience alike;
Clear photographs, reflex-point diagrams and easy to follow
step-by-step instructions throughout; The author is a leading
reflexologist and colour therapy practitioner.

incredible (and incredibly inexpensive) therapeutic massage
treatments. Gail Herndon and Brenda Goldstein, both health-care

My goal in writing this book on spinal cord injured true case
histories and documented since year 1984, is to inform the
quadriplegic and paraplegic that they can be helped presently, and
it is not as hopeless as they are told. I have made a breakthrough
with a paraplegic T10, in year 1984, who was told that there is no
more help for him, after several years of therapy, and in only 10
hourly sessions, I had him stand up from the wheelchair and walk
with my "hands on" method and technique. 1987, I worked on a
quadriplegic C5-C6 and in several months he improved with his
walking and reduced the spasticity in the body and legs. 1991, I
worked with a paraplegic T5, whose legs were spastic and crippled
after several years of no help from the previous therapy and in
only several months I has him stand on his feet, and corrected the
crippling. 1998, I worked on a quadriplegic complete C4-C5, and
restored his spastic arms and hands, and he was able to do his
homework at school. All of these spinal cord injured were told that
there is no more help. I believe that many disabled people are
mislead, as the above, including stroke, Parkinson, Muscular
Dystrophy, ALS.Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Scleros. As a Florida State
Licensed Massage Therapist for over 25 years, and a member of The
American Massage Therapy Association, Member Of The Florida State
Message Therapy Association Lic# MA 000 3352 I have treated people
disabled with spinal cord injury after the conventional therapy was
of no help, and continues till present day. "Spinal Cord Injury" is
a physical injury to the spinal cord, and is due to most often to
an accident, and can be treated with my "hands on" METHOD AND
TECHINIQUE till present day, Neuromuscular Massage Therapy Method.

This book succinctly introduces the benefits of foot reflexology
and acupressure, the required tools and the theory behind the
science. With 77 reflex zones and 66 acupressure points, the soles
of the feet are essentially a map to the human body-each one
corresponds to an organ, muscle or other potential problem area. By
implementing reflexology and acupressure techniques, you may be
able to alleviate pain and discomfort, fatigue, stress and symptoms
of chronic disease. These techniques can be done anytime and
anywhere, and require just a few minutes a day. With
easy-to-understand language and more than 200 color photos and
diagrams-including computer-generated maps to help you locate the
points on your own feet-this book is a comprehensive introduction
to reflexology and acupressure for beginners (or for those who
don't have time to go to reflexology or acupuncture appointments).
Can be used in conjunction with Hand Reflexology & Acupressure.
