Since its beginning, the professing church has been divided over
the practice of water baptism. There has never been any true
consensus on such important matters as the purpose for its
administration, to whom it should be administered, by whom it
should be administered, when it should be administered, how it
should be administered, etc. For a ceremony of such seeming
importance this is remarkable. Doesn't the Word of God provide
plain instructions regarding these things as they relate to the
water baptism being practiced by the Church today? No, it doesn't
