Everyone struggles to let go. People hurt you, you let yourself down, you have hurt others. Sometimes it feels like you are stuck in a swamp of anger and bitterness, unable to move forward because you can't let go. Pastor Su has been there. She has created this three step guide to help you out of your personal swamp and on your way to your personal peace.
God uses people daily to communicate His fragrance and message to us. Too often we don't check to see what aroma or impression we are leaving for others to see, hear, or smell. After visiting someone's home or before checking out of a motel, or when moving, we double check to make sure we haven't left anything behind. Even criminals check to make sure they haven't left any clues at the crime scene to identify them. A story reminded me of this. A robber thought he had committed the perfect crime. He assumed he left no clues behind. But he didn't count on someone remembering how he smelled. The smell he left behind was what helped convict him. Yes, we leave something everywhere we go. Stuart Holden reminded a young man moving from a boarding house of this fact when the young man said, he was just double checking to make sure he wasn't leaving anything behind. "There's one thing you will leave behind, young man, your influence."

From the beginning of time, God has spoken to people in their dreams. Through them he has reached out to both men of God?Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah, Jacob, and his dream interpreter son, Joseph?and ungodly men and women, like Pharaoh or Pontius Pilate's wife. Even today, God has not stopped speaking to us in our dreams. We simply stopped listening or being aware of Him. More than twenty years ago, after God woke him up one night with an incredible dream, author Manny Fernandez set off on a lifelong journey to explore what could be learned from dreams. He made it his mission to teach others how to remember their dreams and, with God's help, interpret their meaning. In his guidebook, Fernandez includes his own diary of dreams, associated Scriptures and explanations, ways to remember and understand God's special messages, an examination of parables, and his ideas for connecting with God through dreams and prayer. "Wake Up?God's Talking to You" is an innovative teaching tool that guides spiritual seekers through all the ways God speaks to us through dreams and brings us closer to Him.

..".if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all..." - Thumper's Law. On my way home from the office one day, I encountered a man with whom I shared the back seat of a taxi. He made a statement about an older colleague of his. Hear him: "I don't know what a man of fifty is doing still working. He should have retired because he can't contribute anything meaningful to his organisation again." At first I thought he was thinking aloud, however, he looked at me and asked: "Sir, what do you think"? It is not in my character to barge into other people's discussion, not to talk of responding to words which echo their inner thoughts and feelings of frustration. However, since he was curious to have my opinion on his thoughts, I obliged him. I asked him: "Sir, are you saying by the time you're fifty you won't have anything meaningful to contribute to your company again"? He squirmed uncomfortably in his seat and mumbled something incoherent. So suddenly, the chicken has come home to roost
Silence is like a burglar alarm that won't turn off. Grief must like silence; the mere whisper of a cry or hint of a tear and Grief makes its presence known. Silence is a megaphone for Grief. A constant that is a deafening reminder of what I am missing. Yet, I find at times it also promotes a quietness with my Lord. Somehow I need to find a way to cherish the solitude in a positive way. "Proving once again that God's light is brightest when our hour
is darkest, Walking through the Valley of Tears is one man's
surprising discovery of unending grace at his time of greatest
grief. This is a must read for anyone experiencing loss or needing
affirmation of God's limitless love." "When your body is exhausted and your soul is parched, you can
find unexpected comfort, nurture, rest, and renewal in the darkness
of the valley. Buddy McElhannon reminds us that resources are
abundant in the valley as the living water pours forth through
tears and grief gives way to the riches only heartache can
cultivate. Heartwarming, honest, and hopeful, Buddy gently invites
us all to journey together with Christ through the depths of the
valley and introduces us to good soil, calm water, and the
protected canopy that God provides so we can once again shout with
joy from the mountaintop. I promise that Buddy will be a helpful
guide as you find strength in weakness, hope in despair, and joy in
journey while Walking through the Valley of Tears."

Fear is the greatest motivator that exists outside of love-and yet these two seemingly opposing forces are in fact inseparably related to each other. As a Christian psychotherapist with twenty-five years of experience, I have come to the conclusion that nearly all emotional and psychological struggles share the same root condition I call disordered fear. Fear must be understood to be both accepted and overcome. It is not our heavenly Father's will or purpose for His children to live under the oppression and bondage of disordered fear, for we are created and destined to reverentially fear God alone. And this is precisely what Break Free comprehensively addresses.

Dr. Johnson."We live in an age that desperately needs a new understanding of both healing and counseling . In my experience the Bible reflects the powerful healing reality of Christ in creation and our own lives in many pivotal passages including one that inspired the final completion of this book: 'Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God .....On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit in season. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations' (Revelation 22:1-2)."
Allow yourself to let go, be healed and enjoy life again Forgiveness has often incorrectly been associated with negativity and weakness. It has even been said that it means agreeing with sin and hurt. Yet genuine forgiveness says: ''It hurt me. You hurt me. But I choose to let go, so I can be healed. I give you over to God.'' Dealing with forgiveness has been one of the most challenging issues of my life. Bitterness can cause deep wounds, which can steal your joy and make you ill. However, the good news is that deliverance is possible through forgiveness. Once I discovered the freedom of letting go, I regained my confidence, my abillity to enjoy life and the courage to love again. John 8:36: ''If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.''
Written from the perspective of a former pastor and convicted sexual offender, this insider's expose' of sexual abuse in the church provides insight into recognizing sexual abusers, helping those who have been hurt, and preventing future cases.
In recent years, there has been a growing academic acknowledgment around the world of a contemporary Buddhist phenomenon described as Engaged, or Socially Engaged Buddhism (SEB). It is a contested phenomenon variously associated with finding Buddhist solutions for social, political and ecological problems. The debate about its origins, practice and legitimacy has stirred academics and practitioners alike. Firstly, does such an approach to Buddhist practice constitute a departure with the past, in which case a new expression of an ancient practice is being experienced all around us? Or is this really a continuity of practice, adapted to inform current understanding given that some would describe Buddhism as always having been engaged? Adaptation and Developments in Western Buddhism examines the UK Socially Engaged Buddhist experience captured through a series of five case studies of Buddhist groups and a survey undertaken over two years in the field. The volume is a ground-breaking and benchmark analysis of Socially Engaged Buddhism in the UK, drawing for the first time on evidence from practitioner's experiences with which to characterise the previously dichotomous academic debate. Ultimately, the volume locates Socially Engaged Buddhism in the UK and places it within the broader and global context of an emerging "Western Buddhism", characterising the phenomenon and its relationships to the wider Buddhist world.
