When crop circles begin mysteriously appearing in the fields of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, widower and ex-minister Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) reassures his two young children that everything is going to be OK. But sightings of an alien figure around the Hess farm, along with news that crop circles are appearing all over the world, soon has everyone anticipating the worse. All the signs point towards an extra-terrestrial visitation, but will it be a friendly encounter or a hostile invasion?
Another adventure for the third incarnation of the famous timelord. The action this time takes place on Earth, with the Doctor (Jon Pertwee) coming up against all kinds of opposition within the British space program when he attempts to investigate some mysterious messages travelling to and from the returning spaceship Mars Probe 7. When the ship's astronauts arrive back home, suspicious circumstances prevent the Doctor from speaking to them, which only makes him more determined to get to the bottom of the matter.

The cast also includes Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin.

Alex Garland writes and directs this sci-fi thriller starring Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson. Gleeson plays Caleb, a promising young programmer, who is selected by the CEO (Isaac) of a large internet company to spend a week at his retreat in the mountains. Artist Shezad Dawood makes his directorial debut with this abstract science fiction film. The story is set in Preston, England, which has the fastest growing Chinese population in Britain and has been host to the greatest number of UFO sightings. Chinese youths Jiang (Chen Ko) and Shin (Jennifer Lim) arrive near the town in a spaceship. They are on a mission to bring back agents known as the Glorious 100, who were sent to Earth thousands of years ago to study the plant and its occupants, but in the process they have been corrupted by their environment. To make matters worse, Jiang and Shin are being chased by a gang of bikers.

Fast-paced sci-fi movie in which a team of soldiers find themselves caught up in a riddle surrounding missing archaeologists and the origin of life on Earth. The film is comprised of 'found footage' from a variety of different sources. The primary source is footage of a US military unit who are sent to search for a missing team of archaeologists in the jungles of South America. The soldiers, more accustomed to chasing armed drug smugglers, have little idea what lies in store for them. Will the likes of Lt. Chris Thompson (Trey McCurley) survive an encounter with the archaeologists' terrifying discovery?

Under the tutelage of inebriated former champion Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Katniss goes into training for the fight of her life.
More sci-fi adventures for the gallant Timelord and his faithful chums. This time around, the TARDIS malfunctions and shrinks the Doctor (William Hartnell) so that he is just one inch tall. He then arrives on Earth and uncovers a diabolical plot by a ruthless businessman who has developed an insecticide so powerful that it will wipe out all insect life on the planet. The Doctor and his companions Barbara (Jacqueline Hill), Ian (William Russell) and Susan (Carole Ann Ford) try to put an end to these foul schemes, but that's obviously not so easy when you're no bigger than a thimble.

Dragonfire is Kane's only chance to help mastermind a bitter revenge plot and escape home. In 'The Happiness Patrol' the Doctor and Ace arrive on planet Terra Alpha, ruled by Helen A (Sheila Hancock), where the inhabitants are sentenced to death by the Happiness Patrol if they display signs of sadness. The Doctor and Ace attempt to bring down Helen A's regime but first they will need to deal with her followers, including demented executioner the Kandy Man (David John Pope).
Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried star in this sci-fi thriller set in a near-future world in which time, rather than money, has become the ultimate currency. With the ageing gene switched off, people stop ageing at 25 years old, but there is a catch: they are genetically engineered to live for only one more year beyond 25 unless they can afford to pay to stay alive for longer. While the rich can buy decades at a time, the poor must beg, borrow or steal just to acquire enough hours to make it through the day. Will (Timberlake), a young man from the wrong side of the tracks, is accused of murder after unexpectedly inheriting a fortune of time from a recently-deceased millionaire. Forced to fight for his life, he takes the beautiful Sylvia (Seyfried) hostage in a desperate bid to escape from the powerful and corrupt police force known as the Time Keepers.
Two hundred years after Ellen Ripley died bearing the Alien Queen, a group of scientists successfully produce a clone both of her and the alien. The new Ripley is different to the original in several respects, but some things never change. It is not long before Ripley is forced to team up with a gang of smugglers to repel the acid-blooded killing machines. |
