Lawrence Rabbit Skin Glue is a traditional glue used in the preparation of gesso. It is also used as a base for gilded and painted surfaces.

Use 12 parts cold water to 1 part rabbit skin pellets, soak them overnight. Prepare a container with boiling water and float the container with the soaking glue over it. Stir it occasionally and re-heat the water if necessary. The product will melt into a jelly-like substance.

Only renewable wood (red fir) dried to the right degree of humidity, is employed to assure the best stability of stretcher. A special design of joint and stretcher bar assures resistance to torsion and the perfect control of the stretcher's tension.
