Triple bill of horror films. In 'Devil Riders' (2009), lawyers Robert (Bertie Higgins) and Allen (J.D. Rudometkin) go on a five-stop motorcycle poker run, along with their wives Susan (Debra Hopkins) and Cheri (Jasmine Waltz), but on the way they encounter psychopaths Ray (Robert Thorne) and Billy (Jay Wisell). Before long Susan and Cheri are kidnapped and Robert and Allen are put through their paces in a number of horrific challenges as they attempt to get their wives back. In 'The Maze' (2010), five teenagers decide to explore a corn maze one night. Unbeknown to them, however, a murderous lunatic lurks within the maze and is luring them to their deaths. Will any of them make it out alive? In 'The Goatman Murders' (2011), a group of friends on a road trip to Florida experience some car trouble and end up in the Maryland countryside where an axe-wielding murderer, who is half-man, half-goat, begins to kill them one by one. Will there be any survivors?
Post-Civil War Western starring David Carradine. Former sharpshooter Will Drayton (Jim Hilton) has put his criminal past behind him and has since married and become a lawman. But when a gang of his ex comrades who have chosen a less honourable way of life appear he must team up with US Marshal Ian McHenry (Carradine) to put an end to the trouble they've brought upon the town.
Crime drama starring Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, Michael Rapaport and Parker Posey. AJ (Levesque) is released from prison after serving a 13-year sentence for committing manslaughter in order to protect his friend Jack (Rapaport), a second-rate gangster and son of local mob boss Dr. Vic (Bruce Dern). AJ plans to set up his own business and lead a life free of crime but it is not long before he finds himself once again caught up in a murder, this time an accidental shooting at the hands of Jack. While trying to deal with the mishap Dr. Vic finds himself being investigated by the Louisiana Tax Board and things soon get out of hand. When Jack skips town, AJ realises that his friend's wife Claire (Posey), who has a history with AJ, and daughter Pepper (Juliette Goglia) are in danger and does all he can to save them.
Eran Creevy writes and directs this British gangster thriller set in London's docklands. Ex-con Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong) is forced to return to London from his hideout in Iceland when his son gets caught up in a heist gone wrong. His reappearance gives detective Max Lewinsky (James McAvoy) the chance he has long been waiting for to take down his old nemesis. But as their cat-and-mouse game unfolds, the two men end up becoming unlikely allies and working together to expose a deeper and more sinister conspiracy.
Neil LaBute directs this Hollywood remake of the 2007 British ensemble comedy farce. Comedian Chris Rock stars as Aaron, who is trying to get through his father's funeral in one piece despite the best efforts of his melodramatic mother (Loretta Devine), his baby-obsessed wife (Regina Hall) and his playboy brother (Martin Lawrence). Meanwhile, his father's secret gay lover (Peter Dinklage) turns up demanding money, and his beautiful cousin (Zoe Saldana) spends the day dodging her infatuated ex (Luke Wilson) while trying to look after her fiance (James Marsden) - who accidentally imbibed a hallucinogen while searching for a tranquiliser to calm his nerves.
Horror in which a clinical trial at a remote facility goes terribly wrong. Among those who sign up to test ProSyntrex's latest drug Pro9 are Adam (Aneurin Barnard), Joni (Alex Reid), Carmen (Skye Lourie) and Jed (Oliver Coleman). The trial is highly secret, with no-one, including the staff who administer injections, aware of who is receiving the drug and who is in the placebo group. Shortly after the trial begins it becomes clear that something has gone wrong. There are unexplained disappearances, bizarre silhouettes and screaming from behind locked doors. Locked inside the facility, unaware of the true nature of events, the surviving patients and staff must band together to try and find a way out of the nightmare.
A double bill of fast-paced action thrillers. In 'Taken' (2008), Liam Neeson stars as Bryan Mills, a former CIA secret agent living in the US, who is obliged to resurrect the skills he learned in his old job after his estranged 17-year-old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by sex slave traffickers while travelling with a friend in Europe. In the sequel 'Taken 2' (2012), Murad (Rade Serbedzija), the father of a kidnapper killed by Mills (Neeson) in the first film, makes a bid for retribution by taking Mills and his wife (Famke Janssen) hostage in Istanbul. Now their daughter, Kim (Grace), must swing into action and act swiftly to save her parents.
Robert De Niro and Paul Dano star as an estranged father and son attempting to reconnect in this drama based on writer Nick Flynn's memoir of his difficult early life. With his con-man father Jonathan (De Niro) having disappeared out his life when he was a child and his mother Jody (Julianne Moore) subsequently committing suicide, struggling writer Nick (Dano) finds it hard to get his life back on track. Things are complicated further when, after a break of 18 years, an alcoholic and delusional Jonathan turns up at the homeless shelter where Nick now works, looking for a place to sleep. Over the coming weeks Nick wrestles with his demons as he tries to make sense of everything life has thrown at him so far.
Ang Lee directs this Academy Award-winning fantasy adventure based on Yann Martel's Booker Prize-winning novel. Suraj Sharma stars as Pi Patel, a 16-year-old zookeeper's son from Pondicherry who finds himself stranded on a small boat in the Pacific Ocean in the company of a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Bengal tiger following the shipwreck of the freighter on which he and his family were sailing for Canada. Over the course of several months Pi manages to survive on the meagre supplies of food and water he finds on the boat, and also takes up fishing, while in his half-delirious state he muses on various aspects of animal behaviour, religion and the meaning of life. The film won Academy Awards for Best Director (Ang Lee) and Best Cinematography (Claudio Miranda), as well as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Mychael Danna) and two BAFTAs.
The first of three epic instalments in director Peter Jackson's blockbuster prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Set in Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the Dwarves' lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of Smaug the dragon. After setting out on their quest from the safety of Bag End, the band of travellers soon find themselves pitted against a range of strange and fearsome opponents, in addition to a small, slimy creature known simply as Gollum (Andy Serkis).

A double bill of children's feature films. 'Hop' (2011), a state-of-the-art blend of CGI-animation and live action, follows E.B. (voice of Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter Bunny. When E.B. arrives in Hollywood with ambitions of finding fame, his dreams are almost cut short when he is hit by a car driven by unemployed slacker Fred (James Marsden). Deciding to get what he can out of the situation, E.B. convinces Fred to take him home while he recovers from his injuries. Fred finds himself with a very demanding house-guest and the duo embark on a battle of wills that may just teach them both something important. 'Despicable Me' (2010), a computer-animated feature, follows an arch criminal who has a change of heart. Trying to outdo his main rival Vector (voice of Jason Segel), serial villain Gru (Steve Carell) hatches a plan to steal the moon, aided by his army of genetically altered corn pops. All goes according to plan until the arrival at his door of three little orphan girls, Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Agnes (Elsie Fisher) and Edith (Dana Gaier), in search of a father figure.
The last instalment of the teen vampire saga based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer. After Bella (Kristen Stewart) is turned into a vampire by her lover, Edward (Robert Pattinson), she appears to be enjoying her new immortal life and the abilities bestowed upon her. But after Irina (Maggie Grace) mistakes Bella and Edward's child, Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), for an 'immortal child' and tells the Volturi this, they vow to destroy the potentially threatening girl and the whole Cullen family for allowing her to be transformed. In order to protect themselves and Renesmee, the Cullen clan must enlist the help of other vampire clans from around the world, in the hope of convincing the Volturi of the false claims of Irina.
David Frankel directs this comedy drama about a middle-aged couple who seek professional help after running into marital problems. Scripted by Vanessa Taylor, the film tells the story of Arnold and Maeve Soames (Tommy Lee Jones and Meryl Streep), who have hit the rocks after 30 years of marriage. Recognising that they must face the problems in their relationship, they decide to attend an 'intense counseling weekend', where they are taken under the wing of impassioned couples therapist Dr Bernie Feld (Steve Carrell).
New York City-set action thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon. When a Manhattan bicycle courier (Gordon-Leavitt) picks up an envelope from Columbia University, he has no idea that its contents are of crucial interest to a corrupt police officer (Shannon). Tension builds as the cop relentlessly pursues the cyclist through the streets of the city, desperate to get his hands on the crucial package.
Kellan Lutz stars as the ancient Greek hero Hercules, son of the god Zeus, in this action adventure film directed by Renny Harlin. Dismayed by her husband King Amphitryon (Scott Adkins)'s brutality and greed, Queen Alceme (Roxanne McKee) prays to Hera, goddess and wife of Zeus, for help. Hera informs her that she will give birth to Zeus's son, who will one day save the kingdom. When the boy is born Alceme names him Alcides and keeps his true identity as Hercules hidden. Years later, the now adult Alcides falls for Crete princess Hebe (Gaia Weiss) but when she is betrothed to his brother Iphicles (Liam Garrigan) the young lovers are separated. Amphitryon sends Alcides off to war but when the king commits an unforgivable violent act, he returns to seek revenge. Now aware of his destiny, Hercules prays to his father for the strength he will need to be victorious.
Jodie Whittaker stars in this London-set psychological thriller. Mia (Whittaker) is an emotionally fragile young nurse struggling to come to terms with her mother's recent death. When an old woman in her building commits suicide in front of her, Mia becomes intensely curious about her. Admitted into the old woman's flat by the mysterious caretaker, Max (David Warner), Mia is shocked to discover that it is filled with mementoes and belongings from Mia's own past, including pictures of her abusive former lover Ludwig (Dougray Scott). So begins a journey into her past in which Mia finally learns to accept her own mistakes and faults, including her strong affection for the partner who hurt her, even as she tries to avoid the tragic ending that fate appears to have in store for her. Emilia Fox co-stars.
Documentary that sets out to tell the story behind the making of the James Bond films. When American producers Harry Saltzman and Albert Broccoli acquired the rights to adapt Ian Fleming's 'James Bond' novels for the big screen they couldn't have dreamt of the success they would find. However, as the franchise became a licence to print money conflict inevitably emerged, causing Saltzman and Broccoli to fall out with their lead actor, Sean Connery, then each other. Despite the increasingly fraught drama behind the scenes, the on-screen drama of the Bond films has continued to draw audiences to the cinema 50 years after the release of the first film, 'Dr No' (1962). Among the Bond luminaries to contribute to the documentary are George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
Adam Sandler stars in this comedy as an absent father who re-enters the life of his estranged son in an attempt to sting him for cash. Donny, a foul-mouthed, hedonistic middle-aged playboy who is facing a jail sentence for tax evasion, finds out that Todd (Andy Samberg), the son he fathered as a teenager with his high school teacher, is now a hedge fund manager and about to tie the knot with his fiancée (Leighton Meester). Donny instantly sees an opportunity to get hold of the cash he needs to bail him out of jail, and turns up at Todd's door the day before his wedding, sending his son's well-ordered life spinning into chaos.

Topher Grace, Teresa Palmer and Anna Faris star in this coming-of-age comedy drama set in the late 1980s. Matt Franklin (Grace) is a bright young college graduate whose life has been going steadily nowhere since he left college, despite the economic boom going on all around him. When he finds himself at a Labour Day weekend party with Tori (Palmer), the long-time object of his unrequited affections, Matt throws caution to the wind and goes all out to catch the girl of his dreams, whatever it takes.
Documentary that sets out to tell the story of Status Quo's 50 year career as a band. Directed by Alan G. Parker, the documentary was supported by the group and saw the film crew given unprecedented access to the band. Indeed, the programme features the moment the original line-up of Status Quo reunited at Shepperton Studios - their first time together for 30 years. Brian May, Paul Weller, Cliff Richard and Midge Ure are among the fellow artists to pay tribute to the Quo and the extraordinary duration of their career.
Collection of two comedies. In 'No Strings Attached' (2011), when long-time friends Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) decide to add a physical dimension to their relationship and move into 'friends with benefits' territory, they agree to keep things strictly casual and on a 'no strings' basis. Her decision to hire veteran newscaster Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) to host the show meets with scepticism from network executive Jerry (Jeff Goldblum) and co-host Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton), and with little enthusiasm from Pomeroy himself, who is obliged by his contract to take this less-than-promising gig. Can Becky overcome the poor ratings and in-fighting to bring the team together and transform the show into something to be proud of?
