The two couples go through numerous ups and downs, with the difficulties and successes of each relationship having a knock-on effect on the other. Can romance and friendship survive such close proximity?
EL Katz directs this dark comedy thriller starring Pat Healy, Ethan Embry, David Koechner and Sara Paxton. When Craig (Healy) loses his job and gets an eviction notice on his house he favours a drink at a local bar with old friend Vince (Embry) over returning home to his disapproving wife. When the cash-strapped duo are approached by a mysterious couple who propose a series of dares in exchange for money for their amusement Craig and Vince think their luck has arrived. As the dares get more dangerous and the wagers increase the pair start to wonder who these people really are. How far will they go to achieve the ultimate payout?
Peter Hyams directs this action movie starring Tom Everett Scott, Orlando Jones and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Though former Navy SEAL turned forest ranger Henry (Scott) may have thought his days of high-octane encounters were over, the arrival of a drug cartel on his territory suggests otherwise. The cartel, led by Xander (Van Damme), are searching for a shipment of drugs that went missing in the area and force Henry to help them. Complicating matters further is the arrival on the scene of Clay (Jones), a man out for revenge against Henry following a past dispute. Will the enemies be able to work together to thwart the cartel?

The second of three epic instalments in director Peter Jackson's blockbuster prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Set in Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In this film, while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the Dwarves enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain. When they reach Lake-town Bilbo will have to perform the role he was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that will lead him to the lair of the dragon...
Billy Bob Thornton directs and stars in this drama set in 1960s Alabama featuring an ensemble cast that includes Robert Duvall, John Hurt, Kevin Bacon, Robert Patrick, Frances O'Connor and Ray Stevenson. Jim Caldwell (Duvall), an ageing World War I veteran, is the head of a family that includes two sons who fought in World War II, Skip (Thornton) and Carroll (Bacon). When Mrs Bedford passes away her will indicates that she'd like to buried back home in Alabama, setting the Caldwells and the Bedfords on collision course. How will the two families change each other?
Surreal thriller written and directed by Ryan Gosling. In an abandoned town, single mother Billy (Christina Hendricks), who is struggling with the expense of her home and two sons, begins work at a nightclub run by her sinister bank manager Dave (Ben Mendelsohn). She soon discovers that employees are encouraged to engage in sadistic acts for the customers' viewing pleasure and she must develop her own unique performance with help from star performer Cat (Eva Mendes). Meanwhile her teenage son Bones (Iain de Caestecker) develops an infatuation with neighbour Rat (Saoirse Ronan) who lives next door with her mute grandmother (Barbara Steele). Rat introduces Bones to a mythical underwater town at the bottom of a resevoir that the pair yearn to explore after escaping the clutches of neighbourhood tormenter Bully (Matt Smith).
Andrew M. Jackson and Hank Bausch direct this horror starring Michael Hotop, Ashley Salazar and Freddie Meyer. Charlie (Hotop) and his younger brother Simon (Meyer) live a simple life on a remote farm. Although they have lived and worked on the same farm for all of their days they have never felt completely comfortable. As their fears and nightmares start to come true they realise that they were right not to feel at home.
Adam Rodgers directs this romantic comedy starring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga. Single parents George (Garcia) and Edith (Farmiga) meet when they accompany their children to an admissions tour of Middleton University. Heart surgeon George, who is with his son Conrad (Spencer Lofranco), seems somewhat uptight, which initially leads to a clash of personalities with carefree Edith and her daughter Audrey (Taissa Farmiga). However, as the day progresses and the pair get to know each other better, sparks begin to ignite. But with the tour only set to last the day, will their connection have a chance to develop?

Wolverine in this superhero action adventure sequel directed by Shawn
Levy. When Deadpool learns that Mr Paradox (Matthew Macfadyen) from the
Time Variance Authority is planning to destroy his universe, he embarks
on a mission to find a Wolverine variant who can help him to save his
world from annihilation. However, when Mr Paradox sends the two of them
into the Void, they meet another even more powerful threat in the form
of Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) and soon, Deadpool's world is not the
only one at risk of destruction.
David Blair directs this British drama, loosely inspired by John Steinbeck's novel 'Of Mice and Men'. Set in Nottingham, the film revolves around the relationship between the thuggish Danny (Stephen Graham) and Joseph (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a giant of a man with a mental age of seven. When Danny finds himself in debt to a local crime boss, he feels he is left with no choice but to manipulate Joseph into participating in a series of underground cage fights from which Danny can profit. Sophie's first day in Paris is like a dream - but her second is a nightmare. She is awoken by the police, led by Detective Forgeat (Eric Cantona), who have discovered a dead body in the duplex, and seem unable to distinguish Sophie from Bénédicte... 'Hijacked' (2012) stars Randy Couture, Dominic Purcell and Vinnie Jones. Paul Ross (Couture), a grizzled government agent, has been investigating an influential crime organisation known as The Tribe for a number of years. Just when he begins to feel that he is making progress with the investigation his personal and professional interests interconnect. When a private jet carrying a wealthy businessman and Ross' former fiancée, Olivia (Tiffany Dupont), is hijacked by The Tribe, Ross is the only government agent on the scene. How will he cope?

Taken into the care of a witness protection programme, a new identity is established for Jo (Villafañe) in Montana and she leaves her home in New York and her past life behind. Unfortunately, when a man known as Mr Ostrog (Dean Armstrong) appears and begins to take an interest in her, Jo could be forgiven for thinking that the protection programme has failed to keep her identity safe from the man she is due to testify against. In 'The Victim' (2011) Annie (Jennifer Blanc)'s camping trip with her friend, Mary (Danielle Harris), goes disastrously wrong when Mary is savagely attacked and Annie witnesses her murder. As she flees through the woods from pursuers Harrison (Ryan Honey) and Cooger (Denny Kirkwood), Annie comes across a small cabin inhabited by the loner Kyle (Michael Biehn), but will he help her or hinder her? 'Beneath the Dark' (2010) is a psychological thriller from first-time director Chad Feehan. Driving through the Mojave Desert on their way to the wedding of an old college friend, Paul and Adrienne (Josh Stewart and Jamie-Lynn Sigler) stop for the night at Roy's Motel. Confronted by a surreal atmosphere and their equally strange hosts, Frank and Sandy (Chris Browning and Angela Featherstone), Paul begins to feel uneasy about his new surroundings and wonders what lies in store for them.
A vulnerable student is filled with a sense of foreboding about a mysterious new arrival at a girls' boarding school in director Mary Hannon's adaptation of Rachel Klein's gothic novel. Helped to recovery by her best friend Lucy (Sarah Gadon) after the suicide of her father, sixteen-year-old Rebecca (Sarah Bolger) soon begins to feel ostracised when Lucy falls under the spell of darkly moody newcomer Ernessa (Lily Cole). When her concerns about the new student's motives are dismissed as jealousy by Lucy, a chance reading of a gothic novel triggers the belief in Rebecca that Ernessa may in fact be a vampire and is trying to steal her friend's life force. When staff and pupils at the school suddenly begin to suffer a series of deadly freak accidents, Rebecca decides to uncover the truth about Ernessa once and for all.
Triple bill of horror films. In 'Devil Riders' (2009), lawyers Robert (Bertie Higgins) and Allen (J.D. Rudometkin) go on a five-stop motorcycle poker run, along with their wives Susan (Debra Hopkins) and Cheri (Jasmine Waltz), but on the way they encounter psychopaths Ray (Robert Thorne) and Billy (Jay Wisell). Before long Susan and Cheri are kidnapped and Robert and Allen are put through their paces in a number of horrific challenges as they attempt to get their wives back. In 'The Maze' (2010), five teenagers decide to explore a corn maze one night. Unbeknown to them, however, a murderous lunatic lurks within the maze and is luring them to their deaths. Will any of them make it out alive? In 'The Goatman Murders' (2011), a group of friends on a road trip to Florida experience some car trouble and end up in the Maryland countryside where an axe-wielding murderer, who is half-man, half-goat, begins to kill them one by one. Will there be any survivors?

But when a gang of his ex comrades who have chosen a less honourable way of life appear he must team up with US Marshal Ian McHenry (Carradine) to put an end to the trouble they've brought upon the town.
Nicolas Cage stars in this action thriller directed by Paco Cabezas. Paul Maguire (Cage) is a criminal who, with the help of his friends Kane and Danny (Max Ryan and Michael McGrady), steals a briefcase full of money from a Russian mobster. Realising that the mob would come after the money, the men decide to hide it away and meet up five years later to divide it up. Five years on and Paul, Kane and Danny meet as promised to split the proceeds of their last job together. As Paul has become fully reformed living a normal life as a doting husband and father, he prepares to go to a charity dinner with his wife, leaving his daughter at home with friends. When Detective St. John (Danny Glover) informs him that his daughter has been kidnapped, Paul ignores the police's efforts and decides to seek revenge his own way.
James Nesbitt, Maisie Williams and David Wilmot star in this comedy drama written by brothers Brendan and Niall Heery. When Alice (Kerry Condon) made the decision to leave childhood sweetheart Ray (Wilmot) and take their daughter away in search of a better life she never imagined that one day, twelve years later, he would be knocking on their door. With Ray's father on his deathbed he requests a meeting with the granddaughter he never knew so Ray travels to Dublin to search for her. When he discovers that Alice's better life included their former P.E. teacher Frank (Nesbitt) he becomes determined to claim back the life that should have been his.
Horror in which a clinical trial at a remote facility goes terribly wrong. Among those who sign up to test ProSyntrex's latest drug Pro9 are Adam (Aneurin Barnard), Joni (Alex Reid), Carmen (Skye Lourie) and Jed (Oliver Coleman). The trial is highly secret, with no-one, including the staff who administer injections, aware of who is receiving the drug and who is in the placebo group. Shortly after the trial begins it becomes clear that something has gone wrong. There are unexplained disappearances, bizarre silhouettes and screaming from behind locked doors. Locked inside the facility, unaware of the true nature of events, the surviving patients and staff must band together to try and find a way out of the nightmare. |
