Supernatural sci-fi suspense thriller produced and based on a concept by M. Night Shyamalan, but directed by Drew and John Erick Dowdle. Set inside a skyscraper office block, the film revolves around a group of five people trapped inside an elevator - one of whom, unbeknownst to the others, is the Devil in disguise.
A sixteen year-old orphan, Sylvie, is sent as a boarder to a special school where the malaise Anglaise is the rule and every misdemeanour an excuse for baring female rumps and administering a sound spanking. The head-mistress is in fact a man in disguise, and Sylvie the pupil soon becomes Sylvie the lover in this bizarre gallic homage to chastisement.
Anna Biller directs this comedy horror starring Samantha Robinson, Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Laura Waddell which pays homage to the Technicolor thrillers of the 1960s and 70s. A young and beautiful witch named Elaine (Robinson) uses her magic to devise spells and craft concoctions which will grant her what she desires: a man who loves her. Inconveniently however, her creations work too well and every man she seduces ends up dead. She finally finds the perfect man for her, but her willful desire to feel loved may send her over the edge and into a heady brew of passion, madness and death.

As his talent gradually reveals itself, it becomes clear that Billy should be attending the Royal Ballet School in London, but with his father (Deka Walmsley)'s opposition and the extreme poverty which descends on the area during the strike, Billy's future is far from certain.

Israeli Liat Aaronson and Palestinian Hanan Kattan made use of the TED conference to interview a number of leading female thinkers from the warring nations about the conflict. The film makers were particularly intrigued by those who suggested a way forward that didn't involve grandiose political gestures but, rather, involved helping ordinary people on both sides continue to live their lives and to work for reconciliation through respect and tolerance.

Hayao Miyazaki writes and directs this Japanese animated feature from Studio Ghibli. As a young boy, the bespectacled Jiro Horikoshi (voice of Hideaki Anno) dreams of flying a plane but when he learns he will be unable to become a pilot due to his poor eyesight, he instead decides to be an aircraft designer. On September 1st 1923 Jiro is travelling by train when the Great Kanto earthquake strikes. He assists fellow passenger Naoko (Miori Takimoto) and her maid who suffers an injury. He doesn't meet Naoko again till many years later after he has graduated university and has worked on various designing jobs, without finding much success. The two fall for each other and become engaged but Naoko is suffering from tuberculosis. While they try to enjoy the time they have together Jiro continues to work on designing his first successful plane.
