Die Bybel – Afrikaanse Standaard Vertaling en Nuwe Lewende Vertaling (Parallel Nuwe Testament) bied lesers die geleentheid om te sien hoe die teks van die Afrikaanse Standaard Vertaling (ASV), ’n direkte verta­ling, verskil van die Nuwe Lewende Vertaling (NLV), wat ’n dinamies-ekwivalente vertaling is. Die ASV het sy oorsprong uit die Direkte Vertaling soos dit in die Interliniere Bybel verskyn het, maar is hersien om gemakliker te lees, sonder om van die ver­taalfilosofie van ? direkte vertaling af te wyk.
