Children are not born with any particular knowledge or skills, therefore everything they need to know about how to survive in the real world they have to either learn at school or from you, their parents. Sadly, children don't learn vital financial lessons in school; therefore it's up to you to teach them not just how to scrape by in life, but how to thrive The Family Bank is a full home financial system, which will not only teach your children how to use a checking account, credit cards and loans; but how to: build a resume, prepare for a job interview, succeed at work on a daily basis, budget, and how to avoid getting into debt over their heads. Even what to do to get out of financial trouble if they do fall down that hole. The Family Bank will also teach your kids how credit works in our society and how to maximize their credit scores, in order to take advantage of all the benefits that come with "good credit." The true beauty of The Family Bank though, is not the volumes of information it will help you to teach your kids; it's the elegantly simple way it does it. The Family Bank is a simple, yet thorough and complete outline of everything you need to know in order to create an actual "Family Bank" in your home; where your children will be your bank members. To develop a "Family Bank" on your own would take you years, but who has the time? With The Family Bank and a few minutes of your time each week, your children will enter the real world armed with the knowledge they need in order to be financially successful, stable adults. Let's get started...
This book was birthed after seeing so many students come into my office day after day and tell me all kinds of horror stories about their home life. So this book is written to express the passion in my heart to bring forth a realization of God's Word and His standard of parenting, a standard that never fails if used according to the way it was written and established. I hope to express that God's Word is the only groundwork and foundation laid out for parents or caregivers to follow when raising children to be morally and righteously sound. Parenting is one of the most important roles that God designed for mankind, and it is time for us to take this role seriously. I want parents to know that Christian counseling is an essential tool that can be use to raise godly and biblically moral children. My ultimate desire is to educate, equip, and empower parents with the necessary tools to raise productive, educated, law-abiding, and God-fearing children. I would also like to leave the reader with the knowledge of how proper counseling and guidance can shape the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual nature of a child in a form that is pleasing to God.
"Saying Yes to Saying No, moved me to being convicted of how calloused I had become to the influences in our world today, and yet I felt challenged to take a stand against those same influences for my sons. If you have children or grandchildren, you will want to teach them to "Say No" when it counts, and this book will give you the tools to start now " -Ryan Knight, D.C. Sex is going to become a part of everyone's life at some point. Are you one of the 90% of parents who wish they knew what to say when it came to talking to your son or daughter about sex? Saying Yes to Saying No will equip you with scripture, and communication tools to give you confidence to become the parent who is meeting the needs of the 87% of teens who say it would be easier to maintain a sexually pure lifestyle if their parents would have open conversations with them about sex. Saying Yes to Saying No addresses issues like sexting, pornography, boundaries in dating, and much more. Saying Yes to Saying No will give you tools to start developing the conversation of sexual intimacy from age three, building on that conversation through your son or daughter's young adult years. Powerful Scriptures are placed in each chapter to remind you of the promises God has given you as a parent. To book Christy for your next event - [email protected]
Readers comments: A Fabulous, Important Book, Jesper Juul provides parents with such an amazing, simple, and absolutely vital approach to raising children that it rings true on every page. Some of what he suggests we as parents do is difficult - as it is against our "knee-jerk" reactions we may have learned from our parents, but all of it is right on about how we can raise confident, healthy, whole humans, right from the start. I was thrilled to have discovered a book that allowed me to see different possibilities with child raising. Anyone with a child will gain immensely from reading this book, seeing themselves (as I did, over and over again) in his numerous examples, and learning how to move on from there. Without reservation, I am grateful for this book and highly recommend it. No Parent Should Be Without It, There are not enough superlatives to describe how helpful this book has been to our family. With tremendous wisdom and a warm, pragmatic eye, Mr. Juul helps us redefine the ways we look at a child's behavior and our relationship to our children and ultimately, each other. This is a book that doesn't offer easy answers or 'tricks' to help in the raising of your child. This is a book that helps you see with a child's eye, hear with a child's ear, and feel with a child's heart in ways that feel so natural and obvious, you will wonder why you haven't thought of them before. But trust me, you haven't. It is a book that offers day-to-day skills along with the thinking that helps generate them, leaving the reader feeling smart and well-satisfied. This groundbreaking book should be on the shelf of all parents everywhere. If you read only one book on raising your child, this is the one.I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you have children - read this book , This is an amazing book that will surely turn upside down any thoughts you ever had about raising children. Even though you may not agree with all the views in this book, there is so much food for thought and new ideas that you will return to this book again and again for interesting and mind blowing advice. Essential reading for parents and childcare staff, This book takes a giant step forward in our knowledge of what children really need. It is based on a wealth of practical experience, but provides a profound theoretical basis for our interactions with children. And is easy to read....The book is well-written, and reveals Jesper Juuls deep wisdom, love and understanding for both children and parents, as well as a good sense of humour and perspective.

This is Volume II of two volumes. "American Silhouettes" is primarily a study in human character in its dealing with the adversity of life. The setting is America during the last quarter of the twentieth century. More specifically it focuses on the struggle of two generations of a small African American family whose destiny encounters more than its share of horrific tribulations. It is a window on life, love, happiness, suffering, and death of the members of this small vulnerable resilient family from the South, that moves to Washington, D.C. for a better life, only to find a very short interlude of happiness, followed by a deep plunge into another cycle of trauma and despair; not death though, that would be too easy; and when death finally does come, it is a liberation of the body and soul. The saga continues with the cycle of misfortune repeating itself in a new age, a new generation with the same finality as if their destiny had been wickedly predefined. From Bridgeville SC to Washington DC, and from Rome to Dakar, their saga brings to light the evil and virtuousness of man in its most natural occurrence, as a part of daily life. The story brings together various individuals of different and sometimes opposite background and describes either the passions of their encounters or the clashes resulting from their conflicts. It analyses the most wonderful passions of love, beauty and happiness, and juxtaposes the horrible ugliness of hate and abuse. It incorporates the duty and responsibility of man within the context of our society and dwells into the aberrations of its marginal sector. It is an interweaved matrix of emotional extremes. It demonstrates that evil has no color, no race, no religion, and that it transcends the social fabric of our society.
"The Moral Decay of Society" presents a summary of events that have taken place in America's jaded recent history. To the point and possibly offensive to some, author Eugene T Motes's essays aim to make people aware ofwhat is happening around them. We Americans are under attack by our own country. We are told to worry about the War on Terrorism, and to accept the physical and mental dangers faced by men and women in our military service. Why should we continue to support a war overseas, when we can't even protect ourselves from the destruction and moral decline of our own country? It is this moral decay at home that Motes wishes to address. Parents are in a desperate battle to save their children from perverted musical artists and movie companies. Teens are being slaughtered by the millions because parents are blind and ignorant. Only parents can protect their children from Satan other terrible influences, including rock, rap, heavymetal, Eclipse, True Blood, and Harry Potter, as well as numerous others that are responsible for the condition of the United States today. Become a true parent to your children and help to stop "The Moral Decay of Society."
