The Tim Fisher Soft Pastel Liquefier temporarily dissolves the binder that holds soft pastels together to allow you to create beautiful wash effects, similar to a watercolour wash. It also allows you to mix and blend the colours to create some interesting effects. The liquefier has an alcohol base and so once applied it will dry quickly, returning the pastel painting to its original state.  Please note this is not a pastel fixative.
