The COBB was created to take you places. Let it take you on a cooking adventure!
With over 40 000 COBB owners in South Africa today, this book is sure to sell well. The versatile, portable COBB cooker was born in rural Africa. From these humble roots, it has become a global superstar. A highlight was being named one of the best inventions of the year by Time magazine in 2001.
The COBB Cooker is freedom. It is not just a braai grill, frying stove or roasting oven. It is all of those, but so much more. It is a portable cooking system that liberates you from the kitchen and gives you the freedom to prepare any dish just about anywhere outdoors – from a suburban garden to the beach or a boat or a campsite somewhere in the wilderness.
Produced by Avroy Shlain, CEO of COBB International and long-time advocator of Anywhere but the Kitchen, in collaboration with South African food editor Anke Roux, who has crafted and curated 50 recipes from around the world to show just how versatile the COBB can be. Use them as a step-by-step guide to producing spectacular dishes without too much fuss, or as a trigger to inspire your own creations
You'll be a Cobb Chef in no time with this handy cookbook.
Celebrate your pregnancy with 100 gluten- and dairy-free recipes,
stories, and advice from The New York Times bestselling authors of
Meals She Eats, Rachael and Tom Sullivan.
In 2022, after successfully conceiving their first child, Rachael and
Tom Sullivan launched a series on TikTok that playfully tracked the
size of their growing baby. In answer to Rachael’s question, “Honey,
what do we got?” Tom presented her with a dish featuring an ingredient
comparable in size to their baby that week. When their baby was the
size of an eggplant, Tom prepared Crispy Eggplant Tacos. A pineapple?
Slow Cooker Pineapple Pulled Pork. What about a butternut squash?
Roasted Butternut Squash Soup.
Now you can celebrate your pregnancy and nourish your growing baby with
over 100 gluten- and dairy-free recipes from the Sullivans, organized
by trimester and focused each week on an ingredient that represents the
size of your baby. As your baby grows from the size of the blueberry at
Week 8 to the size of a watermelon at Week 40, you can mark each
milestone with the perfect dish. You’ll find breakfasts, snacks, main
dishes, and, of course, sweet treats and mocktails, all designed to
satisfy your cravings and deliver the nutrition you and your baby need.
Rach and Tom offer advice and encouragement along the way, including:
- A week-by-week ingredient size chart
- Trimester-specific advice on milestones and symptoms
- Tips on how to prepare for what’s ahead during each trimester
- Relatable stories and empathetic guidance for new parents
Whether you’re newly expecting or just looking for gluten-free,
nutrient-forward recipes, Honey, What Do We Got? offers a fun, fresh
way to celebrate all of life’s milestones.

A paperback edition of Keith Floyd's bestselling book which
accompanied the television series of the same name. Floyd tours
around the Mediterranean countries, looking at the different
cuisines, lifestyles and countries, and cooking as he goes. In
Floyd around the Med, Keith Floyd shares his experiences of
travelling around the Mediterranean, exporing the food, drink and
people of each region. He mixes with the glamorous jet-setters of
Monte Carlo, endures a vertical mule ride in the Greek Islands, and
shares wine with the monks of Saint Honorat off the Riviera coast.
He barters in Turkish bazaars and Tunisian souks, explores
undiscovered pueblos of Spain, checks out the North African coast
and shares pink gins with the ex-pats of Marbella. And in each
place of course Floyd cooks up delicious dishes using local
produce. The countries he visits are Greece, France, Spain, Turkey,
Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt.
I have always loved to bake. I found cooking difficult, especially
after I got married. It took years to get to a level where I am
proud of my cooking. Proud that all that experimenting finally paid
off and now I dona t freak out at the thought of guests coming for
dinner, I welcome it. Every Ramadan for the last 6 years I have
raised money for charity with my children. We have sold cakes,
sweets, balloons, absolutely anything! This year I started teaching
children how to cook online. Which gave me the idea to write a
cookbook of the recipes I was teaching them. Recipes that are easy
to make and that are perfect for those new to cooking. The whole
idea behind these classes was to teach the next generation how to
cook hearty homely meals easily. The profits from this cookbook
will help out individuals in desperate need of something, whether
it be medical assistance, a house, clothes, rations, a wedding,
anything that they cana t get the help for easily. I am targeting,
Bangladesh, India and Pakistan as I have reliable people on the
ground that can check to see that it is a genuine cause and send
evidence of where the money will be spent. I will update the
website www.kitchenmagiccookbook.com regularly with the profits
made from the cookbook and which projects have been funded. Thank
you for your support, I pray you all love the dishes you cook from
this book and they bring joy to your family as they do to mine!
Whether you have younger or older children, just one kid or a whole
tribe, whether you are a single carer or you have a partner to work
with, the one constant is you are busy. Juggling work, school runs,
homework, tidying your destroyed house and maintaining any kind of
social life, to name just the basics, is hard! Often the first
thing to take a hit when we get busy is what we eat. 'NOSH for Busy
Mums & Dads' is here to help. This book is designed to minimize
stress levels, to show how simple meals are possible, to inspire
you to cook from fresh ingredients, and hopefully to bring a little
bit of fun back into the kitchen.
Take the next step in a healthy GF diet. Say 'no' to processed
sugar. Say 'yes' to great-tasting, fresh recipes. Go sugar-free
& gluten-free and discover energy you never thought you had.
Joy shows how eating gluten-free and sugar-free can be an everyday
reality for busy people who want to feel great and enjoy food
packed with flavour. Food doesn't have to be bland without sugar;
nature has provided plenty of healthy sweetness for you to enjoy.
An addition to the gluten-free series of cookbooks from the NOSH
Books team. 'NOSH Gluten-Free Sugar-Free' deals with the issue of
processed sugar in our diets. Joy tackles the sugar-free world with
the same simple approach used in previous books. Back to basics and
using natural ingredients is the way Joy approaches the subject,
whilst still maintaining the no fuss techniques of cooking that
people have come to expect from NOSH books.
