ACTA Germanica - German Studies in Africa (German, Paperback)

Drei Beitrage haben Klassiker der deutschen Literatur als Fokus: Brechts Die heilige Johanna der Schlachthoefe, Kafkas Die Verwandlung und Koeppens Das Treibhaus. Sie werden unter Hinweis auf den spekulativen Kapitalismus, den Begriff "Ungeziefer" und die intertextuelle Rolle von E.E. Cummings untersucht. In zwei weiteren Beitragen werden Reiseliteratur (von Geltinger und Muller) und einige Debutromane der Gegenwartsliteratur aus einer vergleichenden Perspektive analysiert. Zwei Beitrage haben den Unterricht von DaF als Fokus: einerseits aus einer postkolonialen Perspektive und andererseits in Bezug auf die Fortbildung von sudafrikanischen Lehrer*innen. Herausforderungen in der UEbersetzung von literarischer Mehrsprachigkeit werden mit Fokus auf Romane von Deon Meyer und den Film The Zookeeper's Wife dargestellt. Die letzten Beitrage schliessen eine Beschreibung von Junktionen im Deutschen und Yoruba, eine textlinguistische Perspektive auf Texte der Lade der Greiffenberger Kaufmannssozietat und eine Untersuchung nach der Auswirkung von deutschsprachigen Systemtheoretiker auf die afrikaanse Literaturwissenschaft ein. Three contributions have classics of German literature as its focus: Brecht's Die heilige Johanna der Schlachthoefe, Kafka's Die Verwandlung und Koeppen's Das Treibhaus. These are examined with reference to speculative capitalism, the term "Ungeziefer" and the intertextual role of E.E. Cummings. In two further contributions travel literature (by Geltinger and Muller) and contemporary debut novels are analysed from a comparative perspective. Two articles focus on DaF-teaching: firstly from a postcolonial perspective and secondly with reference to the further development of South-African teachers. The challenges of translating literary multilingualism are explored with reference to novels by Deon Meyer and the film The Zookeeper's Wife. The final contributions include a description of junctions in German and Yoruba, an examination of texts of the chest of the Greiffenberg Merchant Confraternity from the perspective of text linguistics, and an examination of the influence of German-speaking systems theorists on Afrikaans literary studies.
