The English-Setswana/Setswana-English Bilingual Dictionary is part of the Pharos entrylevel series of bilingual dictionaries for English and the nine official African languages in South Africa. The dictionary is suitable for English or Setswana first or second-language speakers wishing to learn an additional language. Setswana is part of the Sotho-Tswana sub-family of languages with 8% (4.1m) of the population as mother-tongue speakers and 7.7m second-language users, 11.8m in total (Stats SA 2011).
