Indie comedy drama written and directed by Matthew Bissonnette. Struggling novelist Michael Brown (Adam Scott) gets a call from his drug-addicted younger brother, Tobey (Joel Bissonnette), who ropes him into driving him around town to carry out various unspecified errands. Together the brothers embark on a meandering odyssey through the streets of Los Angeles, listening to songs and arguing as they go.

Black comedy directed by Chris Morris ('Brass Eye', 'The Day Today'). Riz Ahmed plays Omar, a devout British-based Muslim who forms a small terrorist group. Omar is an unconvincing leader and his team of fellow terrorists are just as unimpressive. Among them are dim-witted Waj (Kayvan Novak), shy and quiet Faisal (Adeel Akhtar) and recently-converted white Muslim, Barry (Nigel Lindsay), whose passion far outweighs his knowledge. Omar and his comrades come up with several destructive plans, including using birds as explosives and bombing mosques in an attempt to provoke non-violent Muslims. But do this rag-tag team of terrorists really pose a genuine threat to Britain?

British comedy horror in which an Indian mother takes her obsession with marriage a little too far. Widow Mrs Sethi (Shabana Azmi) is desperate to see her only daughter, Rupi (Goldy Notay), get married. When Rupi is rudely rejected by a series of suitors, Mrs Sethi resorts to cooking her killer curry in order to bump them off, one by one. But the spirits of her victims soon come back to haunt her as they are unable to be reincarnated until their murderer dies. Mrs Sethi must now kill herself in order to free the spirits, but is determined to get her daughter married off before she enters the afterlife.
Ian Fitzgibbon directs this Dublin-set crime comedy starring Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson and Jim Broadbent. Indebted to Dublin's most ruthless gangster, Darren Perrier (Gleeson), Michael McCrea (Murphy) embarks on a voyage through the city's underworld in a frantic search for the cash that will save his skin. Along the way he listens to the lamentations of his neighbour Brenda (Jodie Whittaker), confronts his estranged hypochondriacal father Jim (Broadbent) and gets embroiled in a fight at his local pub with Brenda's cheating boyfriend.

When his job and way of life come under threat by new centralised procedures implemented by his hotshot colleague Natalie (Anna Kendrick), Ryan determines to show her just how valuable his role is - but instead ends up facing up to some of the pitfalls of his lifestyle. The film won the 2010 BAFTA for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Wes Anderson directs this comedy set in 1920s Europe starring Ralph Fiennes as a hotel concierge who finds himself mixed up in the search for a valuable Renaissance painting. Gustave H. (Fiennes) is a leading concierge at the Grand Budapest Hotel. An eccentric figure known for his dalliances with older women, Gustave has a one night stand with Madame D. (Tilda Swinton) and finds himself bequeathed a valuable painting, 'Boy With Apple', when she passes away - much to the fury of her son Dmitri (Adrien Brody). With Dmitri intent on framing Gustave for his mother's murder, the concierge and his lobby boy Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori) hatch a plan to hide the painting and evade the authorities. Will they succeed? The ensemble cast for the film includes Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Tom Wilkinson and Owen Wilson.

In 'D2 - The Mighty Ducks' (1994), the action takes place at the Junior Goodwill Games in LA, as Bombay is invited to lead Team USA to victory over the favourites, Iceland, whilst also having to cope with the distractions of an enveloping media circus. In 'D3 - The Mighty Ducks' (1996), the Ducks are about to begin a scholarship at a prestigious new school, which means a new, no-nonsense coach (Jeffrey Nordling). An icy reception from the school hockey team results in a loss in the Ducks' form. Can they defeat the unbeaten senior team and regain their reputation?
Comedy drama set in a seaside town in 1980s England, depicting the unusual friendship between a lonely ten-year-old, Edward (Bill Milner), and retired magician Clarence (Michael Caine). Growing up in the inauspicious setting of the old people's home run by his distracted parents (Anne-Marie Duff and David Morrissey), the inquisitive Edward spends his time tape-recording the elderly residents in an attempt to learn about death, a subject by which he is endlessly fascinated. His life changes with the arrival of the irrascible, embittered Clarence, who becomes part of Edward's ongoing quest to untangle the mysteries of mortality.
A collection of all three 'Beverly Hills Cop' films. In the first film Eddie Murphy plays fast-talking Detroit cop Axel Foley, whose regular assignments include tracking down cigarette thieves. When a friend is killed, he begins an unofficial investigation which leads him to Beverly Hills, where he runs into trouble with the straight-laced police force who disapprove of his anarchic methods. However, with the help of fellow cops Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Taggart (John Ashton), he tracks down the killers. In the second film Foley (Murphy) is called off a credit card case when his Beverly Hills buddies are foiled on a trail more suited to his unique skills - that of an illegal arms dealer (Jurgen Prochnow). With Brigitte Nielsen as a James Bond-style hitwoman. Finally in the third film Axel's boss is gunned down in a bungled raid in Detroit, and Axel (Murphy) swears to catch the killers. The trail leads him, once again, to Beverly Hills and a huge theme park, which is run by the head of a private security firm. After many capers, it transpires that the theme park is printing counterfeit cash.
Woody Allen writes and directs this romantic comedy drama, his fourth consecutive film to be shot outside the United States. When two young American friends, Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson), spend a summer in Barcelona, they both become infatuated with flamboyant artist Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem). Things are further complicated when Juan's emotionally unstable ex-wife Maria Elena (Penelope Cruz, in an Oscar-winning performance) reappears on the scene, and chaos soon reigns as the characters become amorously entangled to varying degrees.
1950s comedy drama starring Bill Travers. Not content with being so small and slight in stature anymore, young Scots lad Geordie (Travers) sends away for a home body building kit in an effort to bulk himself up. As the months progress, Geordie becomes a muscley, toned athlete with a particular aptitude for hammer throwing. As he becomes a national champion, he finds himself being selected to represent the UK in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia. |
