Comedy drama directed by Chad Hartigan and starring Craig Robinson, Markees Christmas and Carla Juri. American father Curtis Gentry (Robinson) and his 13-year-old son Morris (Christmas) live together in Heidelberg, Germany. Curtis works as a football coach and Morris attends school, but neither have adapted terribly well yet to their new surroundings. Morris struggles with the language barrier as well as the ordinary tumult of school years, which is all the worse for being in an unfamiliar setting. Morris does, however, meet a girl called Katrin (Lina Keller), with whom he becomes infatuated and who encourages him to work at his dream of becoming a successful rap musician.

All six episodes from the second series of the BBC comedy, starring Jasper Carrot and Robert Powell as the bumbling duo, promoted well beyond their crime fighting talents. In this series, the inept cops are kidnapped by local gangsters, and when they're given firearms to protect them on a dangerous case, they end up spending more time playing with the guns like toys. Episodes are: 'Collared;' 'Witness;' 'Never Without Protection'; 'Dutch Cops' and 'Sparring Partners'.
Bobby Bowfinger (Steve Martin) is Hollywood's least successful director. He figures that the only way to boost his flagging reputation is to make a film with megastar Kit Ramsey (Eddie Murphy). However, the only way to get Kit into the movie is to film him surreptitiously, while actors approach him and say their lines. Bowfinger also stumbles upon Kit's movie buff brother Jeff (Murphy again), whom he convinces to impersonate his befuddled brother. Frank Oz directs from Steve Martin's original script.

Jack Black and James Marsden star in this comedy written and directed by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul. Dan Landsman (Black) hasn't achieved much in his adult life and so when his annual high school reunion comes around once again he, as head of the reunion committee, tries to prove himself by getting more people than ever before to attend. As he receives more and more negative responses he begins to think the whole idea of a reunion is stupid, until he sees a television commercial starring his former classmate Oliver Lawless (Marsden). As he hatches a plan to get Oliver to the reunion in the hope that everyone else will attend with the promise of a celebrity, Dan travels to LA to convince Oliver to go along with his master plan.
Toni Collette and Drew Barrymore star as lifelong best friends in this comedy drama directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The story follows the inseparable London pair Milly (Collette) and Jess (Barrymore), who have been friends since they were schoolgirls, as they confront the life-altering events that await them in adult life. Milly's world falls apart when she is diagnosed with cancer and, as she begins receiving treatment, she has to explain the situation to her two young children while her husband Kit (Dominic Cooper) slowly loses interest in her. Jess tries her best to support her friend while also trying to start a family of her own with her boyfriend Jago (Paddy Considine).
In 1971, journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and his companion Dr Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro) arrive in Las Vegas, ostensibly so Raoul can cover the Mint 400 off-track race. The duo embark on a massive drugs binge, checking into the Mint hotel before visiting the Bazzoka Circus casino while high on ether. The hedonistic weekend continues the following day, with Raoul and Gonzo meeting various way-out characters along the way. Watch out for cameos by Cameron Diaz, Christina Ricci and Gary Busey in Terry Gilliam's visually stunning adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's cult novel.

They travel to a commune where some remaining survivors have grouped together to try to start a fresh human civilisation in the wake of the devastation.
Comedy crime drama written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. Millionaire Cecil Fox (Rex Harrison) feigns terminal illness in an attempt to trick three of his former mistresses. Hoping to find out which of the women really cares for him and not just for his money, Fox hires struggling actor William McFly (Cliff Robertson) to play his servant. The three women soon appear at his bedside, but what was intended to be a joke soon turns into a drama as one of his former lovers attempts to give nature a helping hand by speeding him on his way to the afterlife.

They stay in their childhood home, along with their oversexed mother Hillary (Fonda), for Shiva, the seven-day mourning period practised in Judaism. During the week they each face up to problems in their respective lives. The cast also includes Rose Byrne, Kathryn Hahn and Timothy Olyphant.
Nicole Kidman and Hugh Bonneville star in this family comedy based on the popular children's books written by Michael Bond. A young Peruvian bear (voice of Ben Whishaw) grows up dreaming of a life in London, having been influenced by his aunt who once met an explorer from England. When an earthquake leaves his home destroyed, his aunt smuggles him onto a ship headed for the English capital. He winds up in London's Paddington Station, lost and alone, until he meets Mr Brown (Bonneville) and his family, who decide to look after him while he searches for his aunt's old acquaintance. However, the bear finds himself in danger when taxidermist Millicent (Kidman) attempts to get her hands on him for her museum collection. Produced by David Heyman, the film also stars Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Peter Capaldi.
Israel Horovitz directs this Paris-set domestic drama starring Kevin Kline. Kline plays Mathias, a down-and-out American who inherits an apartment in Paris from his estranged and recently deceased father. With nothing stopping him from selling the apartment and growing rich, he travels to Paris to claim his new property. However, when he arrives he finds Mathilde Girard (Maggie Smith), an old woman, living in the apartment who is entitled to it through a loophole in French real estate law. Caught between the stubborn Mathilde and her protective daughter Chloé (Kristin Scott Thomas), Mathias finds his inheritance won't come as easily as he expected...
Woody Allen writes and directs this romantic comedy starring Colin Firth and Emma Stone. In the 1920s, English magician and illusionist Stanley Crawford (Firth), who on stage masquerades as Chinese conjuror Wei Ling Soo, travels to the French Riviera where he attempts to expose the secrets of spirit medium Sophie Baker (Stone). Sophie is suspected of exploiting the wealthy Catledge family and Stanley finds her staying in their home, having been invited there by Grace Catledge (Jacki Weaver), who wants the clairvoyant's help in contacting her deceased husband. Though he is initially certain she is a fraud, the more time Stanley spends with Sophie, the more he begins to believe she might be genuine. The cast also includes Marcia Gay Harden, Eileen Atkins and Simon McBurney.
Marc Lawrence directs this romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant and Marisa Tomei. Keith Michaels (Grant) is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter who has past his prime. Since reaching the pinnacle of his career in 1998, his life has taken a downward spiral. Divorced and without work, Keith leaves Hollywood and begins a teaching job at Binghamton University in New York. Initially, he fails to take his position seriously, only allowing attractive females and unattractive males to attend his class, and trying to impress them by claiming to be involved in a project with famous stars. However, when a student, single mother Holly Carpenter (Tomei), catches his eye, Keith finds romance and begins to realise there is great value in teaching. The cast also includes Allison Janney, J.K. Simmons and Chris Elliott. |
