Wes Anderson directs this award-winning comedy set in 1920s Europe starring Ralph Fiennes as a hotel concierge who finds himself mixed up in the search for a valuable Renaissance painting. Gustave H. (Fiennes) is a leading concierge at the Grand Budapest Hotel. An eccentric figure known for his dalliances with older women, Gustave has a one night stand with Madame D. (Tilda Swinton) and finds himself bequeathed a valuable painting, 'Boy With Apple', when she passes away - much to the fury of her son Dmitri (Adrien Brody). With Dmitri intent on framing Gustave for his mother's murder, the concierge and his lobby boy Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori) hatch a plan to hide the painting and evade the authorities. Will they succeed? The ensemble cast includes Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Tom Wilkinson and Owen Wilson. The film won four Academy Awards, the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical as well as BAFTAs for Best Original Music and Best Original Screenplay.
Two boys on their way to college find themselves charged with murder in Hicksville, Alabama. One of the boys has a cousin, Vinny (Joe Pesci), who recently qualified as a lawyer, and he is persuaded to plead their case. Unfortunately, Vinny does not know anything about court procedure and gets the boys into even deeper water. Can his girlfriend Mona (Marisa Tomei) manage to save the day?
A double bill of teen-sex comedies. 'Porky's (1981) is set in 1950s Florida and a group of high school teens try to release their sexual frustration by going to Porky's, the local brothel. However, when the owner throws them out into the local swamp, the boys' interest switches from getting laid to getting even. A huge 'sleeper' hit at the box office, this film spawned two sequels and a spate of nostalgic teen sex comedies. In the first sequel 'Porky's 2' (1983), the high school kids do battle with puritanical grown-ups and the Ku Klux Klan, winning the day through a combination of schoolboy pranks and sexual hi-jinx.

In 'The Holy Grail' (1975), King Arthur and his trusty knights fearlessly (for the most part) travel the length and breadth of the country in search of the mythical Holy Grail. On their way they have to deal with the sarcastic taunts of the French Knight, the Knights who say 'Ni', Tim the Enchanter and the Terror of the Cave of Caerbannog. 'Life of Brian' (1979), set during Biblical times, tells the story of Brian (Graham Chapman), an accidental messiah whose life runs in eerie parallel to that of Jesus Christ. His misadventures come to the attention of Pilate, crucifixion inevitably follows, and the film ends with the infamous group rendition of the song 'Always Look On the Bright Side of Life'.
West London teenager Jess Bhamra (Parminder Nagra) dreams of having a professional football career, even though her parents are determined that she study to be a lawyer. When she is invited by local girl Jules Paxton (Keira Knightley) to join a women's football team, Jess jumps at the chance, and the team's coach Joe (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is impressed with her abilities. With Jess and Jules on board, the team begins a winning streak which puts them on track for the finals. Again the idea proves successful - but just how long can these two go on avoiding their come-uppance? 'The Lavender Hill Mob' (1951) is a classic Ealing comedy. Nobody would ever suspect gold bullion delivery man Henry Holland (Alec Guinness) of anything other than total devotion to his job. However, with the aid of fellow lodger Pendlebury (Stanley Holloway), he gathers together a gang to carry out a heist, intending to smuggle the gold out of the country by melting it down into miniature models of the Eiffel Tower. All goes well until the consignment of models becomes muddled up with another, non-golden batch. Watch out for an early cameo by Audrey Hepburn.
