Michael Cera stars in this offbeat coming-of-age comedy based on the series of teen novels by CD Payne. 16-year-old Nick Twisp (Cera) is a teenage smalltown outcast who is as obsessed by Fellini, Serge Gainsbourg and existentialism as he is with disposing of his virginity as soon as possible. During a temporary relocation from his hometown to a distant trailer park he meets the beautiful and intelligent Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday), and is soon besotted. Standing in his way are Sheeni's jealous ex-boyfriend Trent (Jonathan B. Wright) and Nick's recently divorced parents (Steve Buscemi and Jean Smart), not to mention Nick's mother's boyfriends (Zach Galifianakis and Ray Liotta). To attract Sheeni's attention Nick develops a bad boy Gallic alter-ego called Francois - but the path of true love never runs smooth, even for the French...
A four-volume set of teen sex comedies. In 'American Pie' (1999), prom night at East Green Falls High is only three weeks away and hormonal teens Jim (Jason Biggs), Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) all vow to lose their virginity before the big night. Will the boys get lucky in the time remaining? In the sequel 'American Pie 2' (2001), it's a year later, and with their end-of-semester vacation ahead Jim, Oz, Kevin, Vicky (Tara Reid) and new girl Heather (Mena Suvari) gather to spend summer in a beachhouse by the sea. Against a backdrop of wild parties, some outrageous lesbian revelations, and a cautionary experience with some super glue, the gang learn what made and keeps them the best of friends. In 'American Pie: The Wedding' (2003), the gang have left college and are reunited when Jim proposes to Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) and enlists his bunch of friends to help him organise the wedding. The usual hijinks occur, including Finch and Stifler (Seann William Scott) pursuing the bride-to-be's younger sister, Jim's attempts to impress his future in-laws going embarrassingly wrong, and Jim's gran objecting to the union on the grounds that the bride is not Jewish. Finally, in 'American Pie: Reunion' (2012), reuniting a decade later, the characters descend on their hometown East Great Falls, Michigan for their ten-year high school reunion. Over the course of a wild weekend, sparks fly as Jim, Stifler, Oz and Finch reconvene and reconnect. Jim and Michelle are still married, but things get wobbly when their next door neighbour develops a crush on Jim. Meanwhile, Stifler, stuck in a dead-end temping job, is having a hard time with the ladies, Oz has hit the big time after winning a TV talent show, and Finch is still hankering after Stifler's 'MILF' mother.
For years, George Needleman, the gentle CFO of a Wall Street investment bank, has been living with his head in the clouds. His frustrated second wife, Kate, has reached her limit taking care of his senile mother, Barbara. But as George tries to solve the mystery behind Lockwise's finances, Madea whips the Needlemans into shape using her hilarious brand of tough love. And together, they realize they just might have what it takes to unite George's family, outsmart the mob and change everyone's lives for the better.
All good things must come to an end. And so it was with Monty Python's Flying Circus, the most outrageously off-the-wall and brilliantly silly Comedy of All Time.
After four seasons of inspired lunacy, the Pythons hung up their TV spurs and became superheroes, repeatedly saving the world from diabolical villains and menacing threats from outer space.
But fear not! Their pre-heroic exploits are available to you on this gloriously remastered and utterly complete DVD of the Complete Fourth Season featuring such gems as "Buying an Ant", "The Batsmen of the Kalahari" and "The Golden Age of Ballooning".
