The Guidebook for Linemen and Cablemen, 2nd Edition is the much
needed solution for anyone working on or training to work on
electrical utility circuits. Packaged as a convenient,
single-volume reference guide on the operation of electrical
utility systems, this book will give you what other resources
won't: practical coverage of the equipment and situations that
power line workers are exposed to on a daily basis, with a focus on
ensuring concepts are meaningful and applicable. This book also
pays special attention to the order in which topics are addressed;
simple concepts are explained first, and the book then builds upon
these fundamentals to explain more complex theories, thereby
setting a strong foundation for clearly understanding key rules and
regulations. This text been updated to include the most current
industry information available, including applications of recent
technology. This book also contains in-depth exploration of the
mechanical aspects of the job, such as working with rigging,
trucks, stringing wire, and tree felling. The need for safety and
training is highlighted throughout the book, resulting in a
powerful resource for linemen, cable men, foremen, and others
associated with the transmission and distribution departments of
electric utility companies. Check out our app, DEWALT (R) Mobile
Pro (TM). This free app is a construction calculator with
integrated reference materials and access to hundreds of additional
calculations as add-ons. To learn more, visit dewalt.com/mobilepro.
A detailed account of Rife's inventions and discoveries is the
subject of The Cancer Cure That Worked. This startling book
documents events from 1913 to the time of Rife's death in 1972.
Rife was an optical engineer and technician of great skill. His
first success was the building of the Universal Microscope in the
late 1920s. With it he was able to view the living cancer virus --
a feat our modern, high-powered electron microscopes still cannot
do. His microscope used many quartz prisms and lenses, placed to
compensate for losses of refraction due to air. This enabled him to
view far tinier particles than had ever been seen before.
Using the Universal Microscope which he invented, he observed
cancer viruses as they changed their size and form. He discovered
that exposing a virus to certain frequencies of radio waves killed
it quickly. Years of experimentation led to Rife's invention of the
Frequency Instrument, a device that produced the exact frequencies
needed to destroy various viruses.
In 1934 at the clinic in California, diseased people were exposed
to the exact same frequencies that had been seen (through the
microscope) to destroy the virus causing their illness. Treatments
lasted only three minutes. The person would wait three days before
another exposure giving the lymph system time to cleanse the dead
virus from their bodies. Unlike the chemotherapy treatments
currently in use, Rife's therapy was 100 percent effective and
engendered no adverse symptoms.
Yet, 53 years after the arrival of Rife's Frequency Instrument,
hundreds of thousands of people still die each year of diseases
that Royal Raymond Rife cured.
The above is excerpted from a book review written by Deki and Jon
C. Fox.

Electrical Installation Design Guide: Calculations for Electricians
and Designers provides step-by-step guidance on the design of
electrical installations. The guide will be useful for apprentices
and trainees carrying out the calculations necessary for a basic
installation and has been fully updated to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022. BS
7671:2018+A2:2022 incorporates changes from the first amendment,
published in 2020, regarding Electric Vehicle Charging
Installations to provide greater guidance on embracing changing
technology within this sector. Additional changes within the second
amendment include protection against thermal effects and fire
caused by electrical equipment, protection against voltage
disturbances and electromagnetic disturbances, and a new section on
prosumer's low-voltage electrical installations covering energy
efficiency measures, the interface with the smart grid, the
management of electricity consumption, the management of renewable
sources of electricity, and energy storage.
If you want to introduce alternative power supplies around the home
and garden or even live totally off-grid in your boat, caravan or
yurt and need a practical introduction to solar power and 12 volt
supplies, here is an essential guide to the subject. Not only will
it save you money, it will show you how to run your lights, laptop,
DVDs and music, and even your tools and household products, from a
simple 12 volt system. Be in control of more of your home's own
energy supply, develop a low impact way of living and be prepared
for power cuts and for power down situations in the future! Do It
Yourself 12 Volt Solar Power begins with a lesson in how
electricity works and the main components of a DIY solar system.
The author uses clear diagrams and terms. There is, of course, more
technical information as the book progresses, but don't worry, this
no-nonsense guide provides a useful, back-to-basics approach for
the layperson. This is a reference book that will help you
trouble-shoot and get the best value for money from what you can
find hidden in the back of the garage. Quirky and humorous, it also
shows you how to make a sun following system using just a bicycle
wheel, a pallet and the motor from a CD player!
