Bill Skarsgĺrd stars as Pennywise the clown in this adaptation of
Stephen King's novel directed by Andrés Muschietti. In Derry, Maine, in
the late 1980s, a group of seven childhood friends, known as The Losers
Club, unite to combat a mysterious threat which their cursed town had
thought was long since buried. After his little brother Georgie
(Jackson Robert Scott) disappears, along with several more of the
town's youngsters, Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Liberher) gathers his group
of outsider friends together to search for clues.
Two mismatched cops, one sharp-suited (Sylvester Stallone), the other a slob (Kurt Russell), are thrown together when they are framed by a big-shot gun-runner (Jack Palance). They are put in prison, duly escape, and then try to clear their names whilst trying to track down a massive haul of weapons before the weapons are shipped abroad.

British romantic comedy starring Rufus Hound and Robert Webb. Raif (Hound), an endearingly shambolic buffoon with a questionable sense of humour, is asked to be best man at the wedding of his brother, Tim (Robert Webb), to the socially aspirant Saskia (Lucy Punch). His gift to the happy couple, he decides, will be a video of their wedding - but little does he realise he will capture such monstrosities of consumerism and social snobbery as are effected by the coiffured, manicured Cheshire set to which Saskia - and now, it seems, Raif's once-bohemian and now unrecognisable brother - belong.

Davy and Gloria fall in love and plan to leave the city and make a fresh start, but Vincent is angry and jealous and sends his men to kill the young lovers...
Two army buddies (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) team up after the war and become a successful song-and-dance act. While on a skiing holiday the pair stage a benefit to save an inn run by their old commander, who is beset by financial difficulties resulting from a lack of snow. The title song, `White Christmas', was actually written 12 years earlier for the film `Holiday Inn' and was already a Christmas standard in 1954.
When the king of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington, gets bored of his job preparing for Halloween every year, he discovers Christmas Town and is inspired to take control of Christmas season for a change. Unfortunately his ghoulish subjects have difficulty getting the festive holiday quite right. Meanwhile, Sally, a pretty maid who takes care of her creator, Dr. Finklestein, is trying to escape from her confines. She worries for Jack and foresees his plans will end in ruin.

Shrek has settled down to married life with Fiona. The triplets are a year old now, and life has become a boring routine. Rumpelstilskin offers Shrek some hope: a return to his carefree days, in return for one day of Shrek's life. Unfortunately Rumpelstilskin picks the day Shrek was born, meaning he does not exist, and no one knows him. With only one day to get a kiss from Fiona to break the spell, Shrek has his work cut out convincing his friends that they are his friends.
Regan Hall's directorial feature debut is a fast-paced sports drama set in London. Sparks fly when Shania (Lenora Crichlow), a sprinter from the city's back streets, comes head to head with Lisa (Lily James), an equally ambitious young runner from a wealthy middle class background. Their fierce rivalry soon reaches breaking point as both girls strive to make it to the top. Bradley James, Rupert Graves and Noel Clarke co-star.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg write and produce this adult animated feature. Sausage Frank (voice of Rogen) has, along with all his sausage friends, always dreamed of being the one who gets picked off the shelf. When his day finally comes, he is delighted to see that his hot dog bun girlfriend Brenda (Kristen Wiig) has also been picked. When they get home to their new owner's kitchen however, they discover their true purpose as one-by-one their friends get killed and eaten. Can Frank and Brenda pull everyone together to escape their fate? The all-star voice cast also includes James Franco, Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd and Edward Norton.
Adam Sandler and Emily Watson take the leads in this unlikely romantic comedy from writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson. Barry Egan (Sandler) is a socially isolated Californian businessman who runs a wholesaling business in the San Fernando Valley. When he meets businesswoman Lena Leonard (Watson) it seems that there might be a chance for romance between them. Lena is certainly eager, and she pushes Barry to come out on a date with her, but the course of true love is unlikely to run smooth, especially when it has to contend with Barry's occasional bouts of destructive rage and his accidental involvement in a phone sex racket run by petty Utah gangster Dean Trumbell (Philip Seymour Hoffman).

John Hillcoat directs this violent western set in the Australian outback, from an original screenplay by musician Nick Cave. Charlie Burns (Guy Pearce) is presented with an impossible choice by ruthless lawman Captain Stanley (Ray Winstone). To save his younger brother from the gallows, he must track down and kill his violent older brother Arthur (Danny Huston). In a harsh and oppressive environment, Charlie is forced to choose between loyalty and revenge, while Stanley tries to impose his own brutal codes of law and order, and shield his innocent young wife (Emily Watson) from the consequences.
Rod Steiger plays a small-town Mississippi sheriff who is forced to collaborate on a murder investigation with Virgil Tibbs, a black homicide detective from Philadelphia (Sidney Poitier). The pair at first find themselves totally at odds with each other, but as the investigation proceeds each learns to respect the other's talents. The film won five Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Steiger.
It is Oklahoma, 1873. Jed Cooper (Clint Eastwood) is mistaken for a murderous rustler and taken to be hanged by corrupt lawman Captain Wilson (Ed Begley). However, he survives the hanging and is rescued by a local sheriff. Cooper vows revenge upon Wilson and takes a job as a deputy sheriff, determined to restore law and order to Oklahoma. |
