You remember your first, you remember your worst, and you should definitely remember some special moments in between. But you should also have a few memories of places where you've enjoyed "sleeping" with your partner that doesn't involve the same old place you wake up in every day. 101 PLACES TO HAVE SEX BEFORE YOU DIE provides readers with a list of real places where real people can have sex without too much difficulty (and it'll always be worth the trouble). In some instances there will only be time to round one of the bases (think "Drive-thru"); other suggestions will allow you time to re-enact that entire beach scene from From Here to Eternity(perhaps on your neighbour's kitchen floor). Each location in 101 PLACES TO HAVE SEX BEFORE YOU DIE will be accompanied by a box to check off once the reader has successfully completed the deed there, a place where they can mark whether or not they'd venture there again, and a "notes" section for commentary. In addition, helpful icons will indicate certain hazards or special considerations for each place (for instance, if there's a chance you might get arrested, if there are time constraints, if there's a risk of embarrassment, etc.). Whether you're feeling romantic, adventurous, sporty, lazy, or just plain naughty, this book is a must-have for anyone who enjoys a good romp in the hay (or in the reptile house at the zoo).
This is the picture book for every little one's shelf, about how sometimes the smallest people make the biggest difference. A beautiful owl lives in the tree outside Ben's house. Ben calls him Mr Hoot. When grown-ups want to chop down Mr Hoot's tree, Ben has to act fast to save him. This warm, funny and inspiring story shows how we can all protect the wildlife that lives all around us. With characteristic warmth and humour, Helen Stephens' exquisite new picture book celebrates the precious wildlife that lives all around us, and shows how even the smallest of us can help to protect it. Hugely topical: a warmly funny environmental book with heart - will inspire children to look out for, love and protect their local wildlife Striking cover design with gold foil - a perfect gift book Helen Stephens is an Instagram star with nearly 20,000 followers. After nearly a decade of dutifully climbing the corporate ladder to become a partner in a headhunting firm, Lucy Leonelli was feeling restless in a life that was seemingly mapped out for her, and she could not shake the sense that she was missing out on something... something out there. Realising that the answer was right in front of her - in a country so full of clandestine communities and colourful, eccentric characters - Lucy made the daring decision to hit the pause button on her career and hang up her suit in favour of a year exploring twenty-six wildly different subcultures. Over the next twelve months, she lived with battle re-enactors, circus performers, hill baggers, Morris dancers, naturists, trainspotters, yogis, zeitgeist political activists and more, experiencing first-hand their social rituals and customs in the hope that, somewhere along the way, she might just uncover the most authentic version of herself. A Year in the Life charts Lucy's adventure as she sang naked karaoke with naturists, jumped from one very high place to another with parkour daredevils, partied in tight latex with self-proclaimed vampires and fought the undead in an epic LARP battle. It tells of the importance of community in an increasingly isolating society; of the unquenchable human thirst for a sense of belonging; of how misguided our own prejudices can be; and of how when we open the door to others, we might just learn something about ourselves.
