Warriors and Heroes is a stunning display of incredible,
contemporary fantasy artwork, a complement to its bestselling
predecessor, Dragon Art. The first section covers 'Masters &
Origins' and introduces some of the writers, characters and artists
who helped to shape the fantasy world as we know it today -
including James Allen St John, Roy G. Krenkel, the Hildebrandt
Brothers and of course Frank Frazetta. A fascinating discussion of
warriors and fantasy art follows on, running throughout the book,
with a large selection of the best of the current crop of fantasy
artists. Warriors & Heroes is interspersed with features on
artists' works-in-progress, providing invaluable insight on
technique and tools. Warriors & Heroes is a feast of visual
imagination and a must for all fans of fantasy art.

The late-nineteenth century in Europe was a period of profound
political, social, and technological change. One result of these
changes was the rise in France of an upper-bourgeois bohemian
class. Many of its members stimulated interest in unique forms of
artistic expression such as illustrated books. On account of their
influence, an atmosphere of intense bibliophilic activity came to
define French culture at the turn of the century. The New
Bibliopolis explores the role of amateurs in promoting the book
arts in France during this period. Drawing on extensive original
research, Willa Z. Silverman looks at the ways in which book
collectors supported print culture. She shows how, through the
admiration demonstrated by collectors for this medium, print came
to be a crucial part of popular conceptions of aesthetics. As
collectors, publishers, authors, designers, and directors of
bibliophile societies, reviews, and small presses, these book
lovers became passionate and prolific interlocutors of the printed
word in a uniquely artistic epoch. Silverman analyzes subjects as
diverse as the relationship between book collecting and aesthetic
and cultural currents such as Symbolism; the gendered nature of
book collecting; the increased collaboration between authors and
illustrators; and the marketing of fine books at international
exhibits. The New Bibliopolis is an important contribution to the
study of book history, French sociocultural history, and fine and
decorative arts.

In the past, most professional services firms could get by simply
relying on traditional marketing tactics. For most firms,
networking, attending benefit dinners, advertising in the Yellow
Pages, and merely adding the new partner's name to the office sign
was enough to stay top of mind. Today, everything has changed. Even
traditional industries need to figure out how to differentiate and
compete in our digital, socially-networked society. Bold Brand is a
process that any professional services firm can follow to identify,
develop, and leverage their brand essence to market themselves in a
truly unique way. Today's professional services marketers know that
if they want to stand out, they have to do something different.
