Marcus Aurelius Antoninus was the sixteenth emperor of Rome -- and
by far the most powerful and wealthy man in the world. Yet he was
also an intensely private person, with a rich interior life and
deep reservoirs of personal insight. He collected his thoughts in
notebooks, gems which have come to be called his Meditations. Never
intended for publication, the work survived his death and has
proved an inexhaustible source of wisdom and one of the most
important Stoic texts of all time. In often passionate language,
the entries range from essays to one-line aphorisms, and from
profundity to bitterness. Marcus wrote to console himself in the
face of the shortness of life, the shoddiness of the world, and the
challenges of being human. He asks the very same questions that
every thinking person must ask themselves today: Does the universe
have a moral purpose, and what is my role in it? What exactly is it
to be a good person, and how do I get there? Life is short: what
does that mean for me? How can I get to know myself better? Anyone
who is puzzled by such questions or searching for answers will
profit from this timeless book, which is both an important
historical document and a personal spiritual diary. This annotated
edition will be the definitive translation of this classic and
much-beloved text, with copious notes that will illuminate one of
the greatest works of popular philosophy for new readers and enrich
the understanding of even the most hardcore Stoic.
Are you tired of going through the motions and feelings as though
you have more to offer this world? Have people stereotyped you and,
maybe, you have made their words about you a self-fulfilling
prophecy? Escape the labels and titles projected on you by people
and through faith, expect an encounter with destiny. Your life is
about to change and you can thank God for it -Ivory Bostick, Senior
Pastor, Tree of Life Worship Center "Hail Mary" is a timely and
revelatory book. It is written at a time when God is releasing His
glory in the earth through His people. In order for this to happen,
it is paramount that believers know who they are. They must know
Christ, know that He dwells in them and that they are empowered by
the power of the Highest. "Hail Mary" comes to ignite and rekindle
that knowledge in believers so that, like Mary, what God has put in
us produces a sound that releases His glory in the saved and to the
unsaved. -Sandra Jones, Associate Pastor, Tree of Life Worship
Center
Have you ever felt like your day-to-day life is one big 'to-do'
list? There's the daily juggle of work, an energy-sapping commute,
the demands of family life or running a busy household. And then
there are life's crucial turning points: relaunching a career,
moving house, finding love. Between all that noise, it can be hard
to make and maintain friendships. The Little Book of Friendship
offers guidance for when the scales of life are tipped and a moment
of companionship is needed. Packed full of wise words from some of
the world's best-known figures - from ancient philosophers and
celebrated writers to modern-day figures - this book will help you
to prioritize your friendships and truly value your loved ones,
even when times are tough. 'No road is too long in the company of a
good friend.' - Japanese proverb 'Friendship is essentially a
partnership.' - Aristotle
"Denny Daikeler is amazing. She puts into words what so many of
us need to think about. Most people live their lives oblivious to
the little 'magical' messages. It is in this guidance that there is
a POWER out there patiently waiting, aware of our travails. It will
steer our lives, if only we will look deeper. Daikeler sees the
magic, is in touch with the POWER that lives around us, so ready to
give us faith and fortitude. The 'Message' is there for us ... if
only we choose to see and believe."
-Jonathan Daly, actor and playwright
Every story in this book is true and happened exactly as it's
written down. Each will expand your awareness and show you how
magical, how limitless, and how truly connected life can be if you
open to the possibility. Trust, a leap of faith, and an open mind
are all that's required. This book is about a journey of wonder,
and it's anyone's to live.

Kevin Turnbaugh is a logistics management specialist for the US
Army at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. His work is performed, and
this book was written, on a computer equipped with screen reader
software that allows the blind to hear what is shown on the screen
and input the data or words, using keystroke functions instead of
the mouse. It is from his more than twenty-five years of service as
a civilian in the army and from his numerous years of exposure to
the ministry that Kevin has become the source of information on
current affairs in our country and churches, attitudes surrounding
those areas of life, and the threats to our freedoms as
Christians.
It is from these areas of work and ministry exposure that Kevin
has developed the background for his two previous books, Time
Witnessing and Critical Condition, as well as the information and
contents of this book. By using the Ten Commandments provided to
Moses and to us today, he brings forth the how and why of living as
a Christian and considers where all of us fail, including his own
failings and shortcomings.
The core values of life matters What we are internally will come
