In this compelling compilation of evidence, researcher Mark Hall
presents the case for terrifying, monstrous bird that has roamed
our continents since the days of the ancient legends of the
Thunderbird. Some very large birds are being sighted in the skies
over North America. Described as an enormous black bird with a
white ring around its long neck and a wingspan of up to 20 feet and
more, this giant bird of prey has been sighted from Alaska, Canada,
and the Pacific Northwest, and into the Midwest, Appalachia, and
Pennsylvania. The accounts are puzzling and hard to believe yet
eyewitnesses swear by what they saw. Evidence from around the world
indicates that our ancestors knew and feared the bird, which can
carry away small children and animals.

"From the first page I could not put it down . The book is
beautiful. It is simple, real, heartfelt . You have shown others a
way to navigate the road all of us will travel."-Barbara Karnes RN,
Author of "Gone From My Sight," "My Friend I Care," "A Time To
Live," and "The Final Act of Living" Blessed with a loving marriage
and six children, Elaine Wilmes was about to enter the autumn of
her life-then she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year of
chemotherapy and Herceptin treatments, the doctors pronounced her
cancer-free. But her cancer reappeared with a vengeance, first with
the development of bone cancer, and then brain cancer. When all
treatment options had been exhausted, the family called hospice,
whose mission is to support terminally ill patients and their
families. Through hospice care, the family was able to release
Elaine to the great beyond as quietly, painlessly, and lovingly as
possible and witness her passing with renewed hope and in a
profound and life-changing way. This heart-rending memoir gives
powerfully candid, moment-to-moment descriptions of the end-of-life
experience. Narrated by one of Elaine's sons, D. M. Wilmes, this
uplifting story will help other families come to terms with the
roller coaster of emotions felt during a loved one's final days.
The ancient wisdom of Hawai'i has been guarded for centuries --
handed down through lines of kinship to form the tradition of Huna.
Dating back to the time before the first missionary presence
arrived in the islands, the tradition of Huna is more than just a
philosophy of living -- it is intertwined and deeply connected with
every aspect of Hawaiian life.
Blending ancient Hawaiian wisdom with modern practicality,
Serge Kahili King imparts the philosophy behind the beliefs,
history, and foundation of Huna. More important, King shows readers
how to use Huna philosophy to attain both material and spiritual
goals. To those who practice Huna, there is a deep understanding
about the true nature of life -- and the real meaning of personal
power, intention, and belief. Through exploring the seven core
principles around which the practice revolves, King passes onto
readers a timeless and powerful wisdom.
This book is a must for anyone who has had a fear of death, has a
wounded heart, or has a loved one going through a terminal illness.
After all of the wonderful near-death experiences that I have
heard, here is a story of an extraordinary free choice experience
of stepping into the Light Source. This factual story of one woman
who worked hard to find the Creator within herself and who not only
found the Creator but found an expanded world that would allow her
to continue life in wonderment and awe without the gripping fear of
the death process. Starting in the beautiful San Francisco Bay
Area, this story weaves its magic up through the vineyards of
Sonoma County and Mendocino, and into the fir and redwood forested
mountains of northern Mendocino County. This simple story tells how
Lil decided to include her closest and dearest friends in her death
experience. Her understanding of the "other dimension" prompted her
to include those nearest and dearest to her, so that they could
experience the magical walking into the Light that she was
experiencing. This generous act would open the door for another
woman to have a personal inner experience of embracing the Light.
As you walk with the author, you see her search for the meaning of
life and spirituality. Her personal study of religions and books on
inner growth, her observations of life led by her devotion to the
spirit within, and her subsequent meeting with Lil, who in turn,
would make a personal introduction to the Light Source. This
introduction would change the author's inner life. Once knowing
that the Creator was a living part of her, she began to see how
much of her life had led her to this one point. She began to put
together the pieces of a fragmented life, which instantly came
together with the help of the Spiritual Source. She discovered her
real purpose in life and what she was here to do. With this
knowledge also came the understanding that death, as we here on
earth see it, does not exist. As the author walked through the
first two doors of death with her friend, she would see the Creator
as she had seen it in meditation, as a beautiful loving Light
Source. This would lead her to see events in her life, which had
been assisted by the Light and how a part of her was still
connected to this Light Source and responded accordingly when she
experienced it. Although not an experienced writer, Ms. Handley has
woven a message of faith and inspiration from her experience for
all to share. Her message comes directly from her heart and
attempts to share at that basic level.
While metaphysical practices and techniques are accepted as part of
everyday life by many, such ideas are still suppressed, ridiculed
and misrepresented by the general media as esoteric flim-flam. But,
like it or not, we are besieged by such way-out (and to some,
downright spooky-sounding) topics as celestial prophecies, near-
and after-death experiences, encounters with angels and
extraterrestrials, UFO abductions, and much more. These phenomena
are exploited in literature, TV, film and plays, and are
sensationalized by the news media. The popularity ofthese subjects
proves that both believers and disbelievers continue to be curious.
Finally, a book which provides inspiration and insight for both the
dedicated New Age seeker, and for the average person who may be
bewildered by New Age lingo and puzzled by its ideas.
Karmic Facts & Fallacies demystifies such topics as karma,
reincarnation, faith-healing, Yoga, and meditation, and
motivatesthe seeker, the skeptic and the stoic alike to integrate
esoteric practices into their lives.
A wife and mother of a grown son and two teen daughters, a woman
enjoying her career and life, Mary Jo Doig wants nothing more from
life than to live out her days embraced by the deep roots of
family, friends, and her community. Tightly wrapped in a life-long
protective cocoon, she has no idea how wounded she is—until, on
one starless night following the death of a relative, she has a
flashback that opens a dark passageway back to her childhood and
the horrific secrets buried deep inside her psyche. Part mystery
and part inspirational memoir, Patchwork is the riveting story of
one woman who strived to live a life full of love, only to endure
tragedies with two of her children and struggles in her
marriages—the consequences of a mysterious life-long behavior
unnoticed by her family or teachers. Like a needle stitching
together a quilt, the memories Mary Jo recovers following her first
flashback show her why her early years were threaded with a need to
be invisible, as well as core beliefs that she was stupid, not good
enough, and vastly different from her peers. Shattered by these
revelations, overcome by depression, hopelessness, and a loss of
trust in others, Mary Jo embarks on a healing journey through the
underground of her life that ultimately leads to transformation.
For most of us, life is way too hectic. We feel scattered and
distracted. We’re busy rushing from one required activity to the
next, and when we have a few moments of downtime, we’re often
glued to our electronics. Is this what life is really all about?
Learn to slow down and live more mindfully with this daily
companion. In one brief entry for each day of the calendar year,
counselor Dr. Alan Wolfelt offers small, day-at-a-time doses of
wisdom and practical guidance. Each entry includes an inspiring or
soothing quote followed by a short discussion of the day’s theme
as well as a succinct mantra to return to throughout the day. In
just a few minutes a day, this little gem of a book will teach you
to live every moment from a place of peace, purpose, and gratitude.
Living in the now is a habit you can cultivate. Let’s get
started.
'Resistance is one of the main causes of emotion. The moment we
believe something isn't the way it should be or someone doesn't
meet our expectations we struggle to accept the situation because
it is out of our control. We get stressed when we can't control a
person or a situation. We get frustrated because we "judge" the
situation as "bad, unwanted or wrong". To combat this, we need to
learn not to "feed" negative thoughts. We can do this by accepting
rather than fighting a thought or emotion - accept it and then move
forward. Being more aware of your thoughts on a conscious level
will give you more control of your emotions by consciously changing
them and not letting them spiral out of control.' Beyond the Mind
explores meditation and mindfulness as therapy for tragedy and
recurring negative thought. The book takes you through the stages
of mindfulness therapy and explains the practical uses for everyday
life and the theory of meditation as well as the stages of how to
achieve it and practice it regularly. There is also discussion of
the law of attraction and how using this can ultimately create
positive thoughts and a more positive wellbeing. While the focus is
quite general, there is also specific mention to the effects caused
by the isolation of lockdown and how to use meditation and
mindfulness to develop more positive thoughts.
The book presents thoughts about the work and results of the Spiral
Phase Space Structure. It is based on direct experience of the
fusion of the Spirit with light through the basic elements that
create life, universe and its Universal Law, etc. The words create
images about what it is like to experience the process of becoming
light, color geometry, velocities, time space through air, earth,
fire, water etc. These thoughts give an "a priori" knowledge about
such experiences to come, when one will enter into the next
dimension(s). The language in use is simple and direct in
describing the experience of the different environments of the
cosmos along with its Universal Law. It also describes about some
of the author's ordinary living experiences. His opinions or
criticisms are direct, humorous and serious.
The book is mainly concerned with the literal expression of the
author, a creativity executed in the 1970's with the exception of
the thought: "The Golden Artist," written in 2002. A sample of his
visual work is seen on the front and back cover of the book. Its
front shows a picture of the work entitled "Terra II," created in
oils on a 4 feet x 4 feet canvas in 1977. And on the back of the
cover a cube made out of six 4 feet x 4 feet acrylic paintings that
display images of the geometry about the Spiral Phase Space
Structure.
The work of the book is original, created in a free style and
independent of any type of schools. It has an index in alphabetical
order of the 60 individual thoughts layout in 137 pages, an
introduction and a note about the author.
