Zeke Cook is having curious dreams about an Indian Lady. The discovery of an ancient cemetery while on a camping trip with his older brother deepens the mystery. In the cemetery, Zeke comes upon a gravestone marked with the name "Moon Willow." Below the name reads the following: "Take a willow stick home and place it under your pillow" That night he is awakened by a strange white light illuminating his bedroom. Was it the willow stick that made this happen or was it something else? Zeke tries to talk about these happenings with his older brother Griffen. But Griffen is not interested in Zeke's troubles - he is having troubles of his own. Ever since visiting the cemetery he is hearing a strange voice in his head. He doesn't understand where it is coming from or why the voice keeps asking him "are you ready?" Journey along with the brothers as they uncover the mystery of the dreams, the strange voice and how it connects them to a deeper understanding of the universe.
To understand the content of Therapy Dialogue and how the process of therapy worked for the person whose therapy is documented here, one needs to become familiar with the concept of self-actualization. This concept has been explained in Roya R. Rad's other book, Rumi & Self Psychology (Psychology of Tranquility), and the reader will find some of the same subjects repeated here. This client's goal was to become self-actualized, and to be purified of the heavy and harmful baggage she had carried with her throughout her life; the baggage of negative emotions, thoughts, blockages, and unattended needs. We will refer to Maslow's pyramid for the concept of self-actualization. This pyramid can help explain human motivation and personal development in life. Humans have both physical and emotional needs and are motivated by satisfying these needs in life. Our most basic needs are inborn and have evolved over many years. It is only when the lower needs of physical and emotional well-being are satisfied or compensated that we are able to take care of the higher ones.
Bestselling author and renowned Zen teacher Steve Hagen penetrates the most essential and enduring questions at the heart of the Buddha's teachings: How can we see the world in each moment, rather than merely as what we think, hope, or fear it is? How can we base our actions on reality, rather than on the longing and loathing of our hearts and minds? How can we live lives that are wise, compassionate, and in tune with reality? And how can we separate the wisdom of Buddhism from the cultural trappings and misconceptions that have come to be associated with it? Drawing on down-to-earth examples from everyday life and stories from Buddhist teachers past and present, Hagen tackles these fundamental inquiries with his trademark lucid, straightforward prose. The newcomer to Buddhism will be inspired by this accessible and provocative introduction, and those more familiar with Buddhism will welcome this much needed hands-on guide to understanding what it truly means to be awake. By being challenged to question what we take for granted, we come to see the world as it truly is. Buddhism Is Not What You Think offers a profound and clear path to a life of joy and freedom.
We are happy in finding solutions to our problems. There seems to be no end. This is a trap in which the human mind is caught. When you understand that you are in a cage, the cage explodes open. Compulsions drop, freedom dawns. Mind seeks satisfaction through the solution of the problem. It says, 'take me out of the problem, uneasiness'. Can one see that this is a new problem? And this problem raises its head every time one faces an unfavourable situation. To understand this (new) problem is to end it. The end of it is the end of the problem making mechanism.
Open your mind, listen to your heart, and discover your soul's
birthright to peace, purpose, and prosperity.
Provides convincing evidence that angels, demons, and fallen angels were flesh-and-blood members of a giant race predating humanity, spoken of in the Bible as the Nephilim. - Indicates that the earthly paradise of Eden was a realm in the mountains of Kurdistan. - By the author of Gateway to Atlantis. Our mythology describes how beings of great beauty and intelligence, who served as messengers of gods, fell from grace through pride. These angels, also known as Watchers, are spoken of in the Bible and other religious texts as lusting after human women, who lay with them and gave birth to giant offspring called the Nephilim. These religious sources also record how these beings revealed forbidden arts and sciences to humanity--transgressions that led to their destruction in the Great Flood. Andrew Collins reveals that these angels, demons, and fallen angels were flesh-and-blood members of a race predating our own. He offers evidence that they lived in Egypt (prior to the ancient Egyptians), where they built the Sphinx and other megalithic monuments, before leaving the region for what is now eastern Turkey following the cataclysms that accompanied the last Ice Age. Here they lived in isolation before gradually establishing contact with the developing human societies of the Mesopotamian plains below. Humanity regarded these angels--described as tall, white-haired beings with viperlike faces and burning eyes--as gods and their realm the paradise wherein grew the tree of knowledge. Andrew Collins demonstrates how the legends behind the fall of the Watchers echo the faded memory of actual historical events and that the legacy they have left humanity is one we can afford to ignoreonly at our own peril.

When we are young children we believe everything will last and remain. It is only when we grow to adults that we come to realize our fault in not understanding that things change and fade with the passing of time. The New America is a place that has already been discovered by humankind, but its vastness cannot be measured; the exploration of the novel domain can, however, reveal a newer, truer thing than before, or what has already been abandoned by another. The strange New America is within us all and with each thought- old and new, foreign and domestic- a greater force it becomes, uniting all of mankind into one glorious unity of similarity and peace. In the end the New America will either be our great and terrible Wasteland, or our final return to Paradise.
"Baby Boomer Lamentations" is a book of honesty for all seventy-six million baby boomers born from 1946 to 1965. It is not about the health, wealth, and happiness in old age that we see in those sleek magazines about retirement. Instead, this is an exploration of the metaphysics of aging in America, something unpleasant to contemplate but inevitable. The fact is that aging baby boomers and their families who are not prepared for the changes that are coming will have to meet them anyway. So you better have a firm and reliable belief system to handle the impact of this new reality the aging baby boomers now are imposing on the American economy. Author Lewis Tagliaferre brings a lifetime of personal experience from the untimely loss of his wife and the recovery process in his own family to this book. His is a different, contrarian perspective on life that employs many different approaches for attaining human maturity including psychology, religion, science, and anthropology. The result is the development of the five principles of Theofatalism to help baby boomers meet the challenges of aging in America. The principles of Theofatalism were developed from spiritual encounters in Sedona, Arizona. Aging is like walking a labyrinth where there is no choice but to take the pathway that is perhaps provided by God, the almighty One. |
