Who on earth is that imaginary friend your child talks about? And
talks to? Their own creation? A figment of a creative and fertile
imagination? But what if? What if this friend is something we don't
yet have a word for. A ghost? A Spirit Guide? An ancestor wanting
to reach out to this sensitive and receptive child? And what about
those dreams? Those images your child conjures from nowhere? Ones
that no one could possibly 'dream up'? And what about the invisible
friends who come to dinner? Recent research indicates that there is
a strong possibility that imaginary friends could be a relative who
passed away before the child was born. When Jade, my daughter was 3
years old, she always defiantly asserted that 'Sammy' was her
brother. Could this be the child I lost in a miscarriage years ago?
Some people dismiss the spirit world as jiggery-pokery. Others wait
in the firm belief that loved ones who have passed over will be in
contact. It seems that children up to the age of eight, are
receptive to spirit contact. After this time the tangible, concrete
world of logical strategies and mathematical equations sets in. As
the child is challenging what they know, start to perceive and test
boundaries, question their parents and, importantly, absorbs their
peers' perspectives and opinions, some faculties may get lost. Or
hidden away. Mediums, sensitives and their clients have evidence
that the door to spirit contact can sometimes remain open into
adulthood.
In 2010, Richard Merrick took a family trip to Scotland's Rosslyn
chapel--the enigmatic fifteenth-century temple made famous by Dan
Brown's "The Da Vinci Code." Little did he know he was about to
embark upon an intellectual and personal journey that would lead to
the discovery of a real-life lost symbol--one that reveals the
connection between the world's most sacred temples and opens up a
treasure trove of lost science and ancient secrets.
The symbol he discovers--the Venus Blueprint--is based on that
planet's orbital pattern, which takes the shape of a five-pointed
star when seen from Earth. As Merrick digs deeper, he realizes the
Venus Blueprint was an integral part of the design template of some
of the most significant religious architecture around the
world--including St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, the Roman
Pantheon, the Greek Parthenon, the Temple of Jerusalem, and the
Great Pyramid of Giza, as well as many buildings designed by the
secretive Freemason society.
Upon further examination, Merrick is astounded to discover that
temples designed using the Venus Blueprint are endowed with
extraordinary acoustics that, when supplied with the right tones
and frequencies, are capable of harmonizing with Earth's resonant
frequencies and evoking altered states of consciousness. He then
proposes a fascinating idea: Could it be that the ancients used
these harmonics to enhance entheogenically induced visions--to
commune with the divine and liberate the gods within?
Supported by an impressive array of historical research and
scientific analysis, "The Venus Blueprint" offers compelling
evidence of an ancient lost culture that was both spiritually and
scientifically advanced.
From spirit animals to totems, people across cultures and through
the centuries have felt a spiritual and symbolic connection to
animals. In this follow-up to her best-selling book The Illustrated
Herbiary, author, herbalist, and spiritual wellness guide Maia Toll
explores that magical, mystical relationship and the power of
animal energy to help illuminate personal habits, guide intentions,
and inform actions. Following profiles that highlight each animal's
most meaningful trait, Toll provides rituals and reflections that
guide readers in cultivating that animal's energy in their own
lives. Does the spotted skunk's ability to ward off enemies many
times her size shed light on how to handle our own conflicts? Can
katydid's five eyes lend a clarity of vision when we need to see
the bigger picture? Thirty-six oracle cards featuring art from the
book by illustrator Kate O'Hara help shape readers' meditations.
From the humble house mouse to the magnificent elephant, this
beautifully illustrated guide to animal spirits provides deep
insights and new ways of connecting with the creatures that walk,
crawl, slither, swim, and fly.
A detailed examination of the controversial expeditions to the
Tayos Cave complex in Ecuador and the treasures glimpsed in its
depths * Reconstructs the expeditions from the 1960s and '70s,
including the Mormon Church's search for lost tablets, Stanley
Hall's quest with Neil Armstrong, and sightings of a metal library,
books of gold, copper plates, and a quartz sarcophagus * Includes
photos from the author's own dangerous expeditions to the Tayos
Caves * Explores connections to Atlantis, Ancient Astronauts, and
the Hollow Earth theory and the possibility of tunnel networks that
extend from the Rocky Mountains to Patagonia The Cuevas de los
Tayos is a cavern complex in the Amazon rain forest of Ecuador.
Named for the tayos, the oil birds that reside within them, these
caves have countless enigmas connected with them, from the
discovery of inexplicable architectural details, to claims of
curses and treasures, to dangerous encounters with the indigenous
people, the Shuar, for whom the caves are sacred. Sharing his more
than 30 years of research into the Tayos Caves as well as his own
explorations, Alex Chionetti examines the legends and mysteries
associated with this site and the explorers who have ventured
within. He details the discovery of the Tayos Cave complex by
Hungarian explorer Janos Juan Moricz in the 1960s, including
Moricz's claims of finding a metal library with books of gold.
Exploring the oral tradition of the Shuar, he explains how this
region was the possible origin of Incan culture and the legend of
El Dorado. The author shares his own dangerous explorations within
the Tayos Caves, and, drawing on unpublished interviews with
speleologist Julio Goyen Aguado, he reconstructs the expeditions of
the 1960s and '70s, revealing the Mormon Church's search for lost
tablets, a British army incursion, and sightings of paintings, gold
statues and skeletons, copper plates, and a quartz
sarcophagus--treasures akin to the Crespi treasure. The author also
shares details from Stanley Hall's suspicious expedition in 1976,
which included astronaut Neil Armstrong. Investigating the lost
civilizations behind the Tayos treasures, Chionetti explores the
possible connections to Atlantis, aliens, Ancient Astronauts, and
the Hollow Earth theory; the caves' links with hermetic societies;
and claims of tunnel networks that extend thousands of miles
through both American continents, from the Rocky Mountains to
Patagonia. Sharing a real-life adventure story wilder than an
Indiana Jones plot, the author shows that Earth's ancient past has
many secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Particularly focused on those in pain and in need of comfort and
healing, and intended to touch and open the human heart, this book
is a unique introduction to the Himalayan Wisdom Tradition. A
Himalayan Siddha master is one who through a course of ascetic
trainings has reached the highest truth, and Yogmata-Ji is one of
only a few such masters alive today to transmit the Himalayan
Wisdom to the world. As Yogmata-Ji writes, “I am here to guide
you on a journey of transformation to expand your consciousness and
help you reconnect to the sacred source.” This she does with
compassion and wit and a continual refrain to her own experience.
The lessons are wide ranging, touching on many facets of our
self-ascribed limitations, which with patience and love she
explores and explodes. The focused, incisive, and caring
nature of 108 Teachings makes it a perfect work of daily
meditations, the practice of which places the reader on a unique
path of discovery and self-realization.
The Razorblade of Zen introduces Zen Buddhism and its unique
meditation as a nonmystical, plain and simple, physical approach to
finding sanctuary and self-examination amid the hectic everyday
life that people face. Many people still harbor misconceptions
about Zen despite the mainstreaming of meditation and the
dissemination of Zen publishing. This book clarifies the real Zen
and defines its place in our culture as simply and directly as
possible, placing the practice of Zen where it belongs in today’s
cultural and ideological context: occupying the middle ground
between extremes of rationalist science and theistic religion. From
this perspective, living with Zen becomes possible without
compromising the demands of living in the world today.
Use these strategies to warm your heart and open your mind to the
power of happiness. Happiness is like the answer to a riddle. The
more we want it and the more we seek it, the more elusive it
becomes. And yet, when we are least conscious of looking for it, it
can envelop us in a warm sense of contentment and belonging, making
a single moment precious and valuable beyond measure. Scientists
will tell us that happiness has the power to heal and to
extend life. It is the ingredient we all seek to make our lives
complete. Happiness makes us feel glad to be alive and this book
offers you a more joyous approach to living and thinking; a shift
in approach that may reframe your view of the world. Simple things
you can do to reconsider your life – consciously – so that you
can decide whether now is the time when you can be happier. It
shares the experiences of others and provides the closest we might
have to a happiness 'formula'. The good news is, happiness is
within everyone’s grasp.
Sigils are symbols designed for a specific magical purpose. They
are symbolic icons that are condensed representations of more
complex ideas or information. It was from astrology that the word
sigil became acknowledged as an occult device with great power.
Traditionally, a sigil is a line diagram symbolizing the
unpronounceable name of a spirit, a form of pictorial signature of
a spirit. To know the name of a spirit gives the magician the
ability to command the spirit. They are a part of the ritual of
ceremonial magic used for the conjuration of angels, demons and
other spirits. In more modern times, the sigil has been reinvented
as a Monogram of Thought, a graphic symbol created with the sole
purpose of fulfilling the magicians desired outcome, a personal
desire or set of desires. The term sigil is derived from the Latin
words sigilla, sigillum and signum and in terms of magic it is
generally understood to mean sign, seal, signa - ture or little
picture. Sigils are also called by differ ent names like seal and
pentacle. A seal is a sigil placed in a circle, it gives the
conjuror the ability to capture the spirit and command it. A
pentacle is a type of talisman used in magic evocation for
protection. All religious symbols count as sigils and they date
back to prehistory when humans first used images to infer intent -
magic will - making it possible for the creator of the sigil to
receive something or make something change in the universe,
themselves, in other people or to summon and control outside
entities. They were part of our ancestor's pictorial language in an
age of symbolic literacy. In the ancient and classic worlds of the
pre-Christian era, the term magic referred to arcane or esoteric
knowledge. If someone had the knowledge to ward off illness or
misfortune or gain favour with the gods by whatever means, they
were considered to be a form of magician. The ability to produce
magic sigils to ward off evil, counteract the devil and offer
protection from sorcerers and witches continued unabated into the
early Judeo-Christian tradition. The Cross being the upmost symbol
of protection. One difference between the priest and the sorcerer
was that one employed magic for religious purposes whilst the other
used it for their own ends. The concept of the sigil became
established during the Late Medieval and Renaissance period
1350-1700. During this time, magicians used sigils to call upon
angels, demons and other spirits. Each spirit had its own sigil
representing its 'essence', a sort of signature or spiritual
autograph. These are the high magic sigils associated with black
magic. Magicians created and studied these symbols, publishing
lists of them in magical training books called grimoires. By the
beginning of the 20th century, science and rationale had played a
monumental role in the re-realizing of magic practise.
Self-professed adepts such as Aleistair Crowley and Austin Osman
Spare, rejected the traditions of Renaissance magic, taking the
sigil out of ritual and employing them in their personal quests of
mystical exploration, as symbols of intent
If there was just one thing I could tell you about living the life
of your dreams, knowing that if you understood it, it would be
enough, I would ask you to realize that you already are living that
life.
In his most advanced work to date, Mike Dooley builds on the
concepts of his "New York Times "bestseller "Infinite Possibilities
"by using his revolutionary concept, the Matrix, to take the art of
deliberate creation to the next level. Taking us behind the
curtains of time and space, Dooley guides us through the practice
of choosing our desired end results without getting too attached to
the details or messing with the "cursed hows."
"Manifesting Change "breaks down the metaphysical mechanics behind
every physical manifestation through exercises, stories, and
analogies that illustrate just how the Matrix will show the flow of
events that will, or will not, trigger changes in your life based
upon your thoughts, words, and actions. It will help you understand
"what "you really want, "why "you really want it, and "how "to go
about getting it with supreme confidence. Set life's magic in
motion and accelerate the arrival of all that your heart desires
with this complete master's guide to creating the life of your
