In spiritual teacher Osho's Aspects of Meditation Book 1: The Body,
the First Step, you'll discover a deeper understanding of
meditation through an investigation into the subtle workings of the
mind, focusing on the body. The West has taken to meditation with
great enthusiasm. We contemplate. We concentrate. We embrace
mindfulness techniques and a multitude of mantras. We have
undertaken to "do" meditation. The Aspects of Meditation series is
comprised of brief, precious texts in which Osho shows us the core
of meditation is not about sitting silently or chanting a mantra.
It is, instead, a question of understanding the subtle workings of
the mind. In Book 1, Osho re-introduces us to our body, focusing on
the "root" of the human, the soul.
Written by the UK's leading teacher and practitioner Natasha de
Grunwald, a pioneer of Thai massage and bodywork for 30 years. Thai
Massage Dissected is a book aimed at massage therapists, yoga
teachers, physiotherapists, osteopaths and all manual therapists
who want to expand their therapeutic approach and are curious to
learn about the body from a Thai anatomy and dissection
perspective. Therapeutic Thai massage and bodywork is a rich and
diverse modality, so much more than the stretching and deep tissue
work for which it is known. The book provides a richly curated
combination of tools, techniques and protocols that will enhance
all practitioners' skill sets. Natasha discusses the roots of this
modality as Buddhist medicine, the five element system, the use of
therapeutic herbs and Thai anatomy, whilst also writing about
concepts such as proprioception and interoception. There is an
additional chapter looking at traditional healthcare practices for
women, informed by her time spent with village midwives on the
Thai/Burmese border. Natasha de Grunwald uses imagery from many
hours spent in a cadaver lab to describe anatomical, textural
layers and structures, bringing human form to life. She
consolidates this with a therapeutic perspective on Thai medical
theory and how Thai massage and bodywork can be carried out in a
clinical setting. This comes from her extensive research, studies
and knowledge spanning over three decades.
Music CD in a Digipack which includes a 16-page booklet which
provides information about the musicians, their philosophy and
their instruments! Music for me can take on many forms. I play for
many reasons, mainly because I love music. I love the high, the
beautiful place it takes me, the feeling during and after I play.
This to me is meditation. Being in the moment and at one with my
own being. No thoughts just allowing the music to come through me.
There are some techniques I use and have discovered on this musical
journey, some of which I will discuss in the next section. Running
time 61 minutes, 55 seconds.
The scientific study of Buddhist forms of meditation has surged in
recent years. Such study has captured the popular imagination,
reshaping conceptions of what meditation is and what it can do.
Within the lab and now beyond it, people have come to see
meditation as a practical matter, a rewiring of the brain or an
optimization of consciousness as a means to better health, more
fulfilling relationships, and increasing productivity. Often
suppressed if not dropped from this pragmatic approach are the
beliefs, values, and cosmologies that underpin such practice from
the Buddhist point of view. Propelled by the imperatives of
empirical practicality, for perhaps the first time in history
meditation has shifted from Buddhist monasteries and practice
centers to some of the most prominent and powerful modern
institutions in the world-hospitals, universities, corporations,
and the military-as well as many non-institutional settings. As the
contributions to this volume show, as their contexts change, so do
the practices, sometimes drastically. New ways of thinking about
meditation, ways that profoundly affect millions of lives all over
the world, are emerging from its move to these more strictly
secular settings. To understand these changes and their effects,
the essays in this volume explore the unaddressed complexities in
the interrelations between Buddhist history and thought and the
scientific study of meditation. The contributors bring
philosophical, cultural, historical, and ethnographic perspectives
to bear, considering such issues as the philosophical presumptions
of practice, the secularization of meditation, the values and goods
assumed in clinical approaches, and the sorts of subjects that take
shape under the influence of these transformed and transformative
practices-all the more powerful for being so often formulated with
the authority of scientific discourse.

The function of meditation practice is to heal and transform. Scientific studies indicate that meditation contributes tremendously to well-being, general health, and longevity. "How to Sit" is a unique gift for those who want a comprehensive yet simple guide to getting started with meditation practice, as well as meditators with training in any spiritual tradition who want to be reminded of the foundation of practice.

You can do it. You can change your life for the better—and the best
part is that you already have the tools within you to do so!
In this concise yet information-packed book—which you can download the
audio from the included link and listen to or read at your
leisure—bestselling author Louise L. Hay shows you that you "can do
it"—that is, change and improve virtually every aspect of your life—by
understanding and using affirmations correctly.
Louise explains that every thought you think and every word you speak
is an affirmation. Even your self-talk, your internal dialogue, is a
stream of affirmations. You’re affirming and creating your life
experiences with every word and thought. Your beliefs are merely
habitual thinking patterns that you learned as a child, and many of
them work very well for you. But other beliefs may be limiting your
ability to create the very things you say you want. You need to pay
attention to your thoughts so that you can begin to eliminate the ones
creating experiences that you don’t want.
As Louise discusses topics such as health, forgiveness, prosperity,
creativity, relationships, job success, and self-esteem, you’ll see
that affirmations are solutions that will replace whatever problem you
might have in a particular area.
By the end of this book, you’ll be able to say "I can do it" with
confidence, knowing that you’re on your way to the wonderful,
joy-filled life you deserve.
Lorna Byrne has helped millions of people around the world by
calling on them to realise that they each have a guardian angel and
by showing them that can ask for help from God and the angels.
Lorna is often asked for help on how to ask and how to pray, so in
this new book she gives detailed advice and also includes prayers
for different occasions. She says: 'Sometimes our prayers are so
focussed on asking for things, we forget to listen out for what
God, the angels and our love ones are trying to tell us. God always
has this abundance of blessings prepared for us, small blessings
and great blessings. He wants to give every individual great
life-changing blessings, beginning when that individual is born.
God will do everything to make it happen, but He will never
infringe on an individual's free will, which a good reason for us
to engage intelligent conversation with him - listening as well as
asking - in prayer.'

Healing master Diana Cooper offers guided meditations in this
series of audio CDs. Each recording takes an aspect of Atlantis,
the powerful and mystical ancient civilization, and provides steps
for reconnecting with the magical and healing energies of that
golden age. Based on the Atlantean idea of 12 operational chakras
and strands of DNA, this spiritual journey describes how to
reinstate and activate individual chakras to unite with the sacred
powers of Atlantis.
The mind, says Osho, has the potential to be enormously creative in
dealing with the challenges of everyday life, and the problems of
the world in which we live. The difficulty, however, is that
instead of using the mind as a helpful servant we have largely
allowed it to become the master of our lives. Its ambitions, belief
systems, and interpretations rule our days and our nights -
bringing us into conflict with minds that are different from ours,
keeping us awake at night rehashing those conflicts or planning the
conflicts of tomorrow, and disturbing our sleep and our dreams. If
only there was a way to switch it off and give it a rest! Finding
the switch that can silence the mind - not by force or performing
some exotic ritual, but through understanding, watchfulness, and a
healthy sense of humour - is meditation. A sharper, more relaxed
and creative mind - one that can function at the peak of its unique
intelligence - is the potential. The book will include a link to
tutorials on OSHO Nadabrahma Meditation.
This concise, easy to read guide provides the perfect foundation to
mindfulness, setting you on the path to peace and tranquillity.
