Strong, durable and lightweight, Jackson's Aluminium Screen Printing Screens are ideal for screenprinting for short or long paint runs. Made from aluminium box section welded frames and ready-stretched, high grade Swiss polyester mesh, Jackson's range of screens is available in a variety of sizes and mesh counts to suit your artistic needs and preferences. This 32T White Mesh Aluminium Printing Screen is great for use with opaque ink deposits, glitter or metallic inks on fabric. These inks have particles in them that will not pass through the typical mesh sizes. Jackson's Aluminium Screen Printing Screens are favoured for their durability and longevity. Unlike wood silk aluminium screen frames, Jackson's Aluminium Screen Printing Screens retain their shape throughout the printmaking process and will stay flat through thousands of prints. Aluminium frames can also be stretched and re-stretched many times. Jackson's Aluminium Screen Printing Screens come in a variety of mesh counts. As a guide, the higher the mesh count, the finer the threads and holes are in the screen. While the difference isn't extreme, you may have to vary your exposure times slightly for different mesh sizes. Mesh Counts (Threads Per CM): 32Size: 31 x 23 inches
This versatile square rubber blade comes with an aluminium squeegee holder made in the UK and is an essential tool for screenprinting. Jackson's : Aluminium Squeegee holder with square cut blade is suitable for hand screenprinting and various automatic and semi automatic screen print machines, and offers a long-life performance. The square cut rubber blade is a popular choice for regular ink applications and is the most widely used shape. Jackson's : Aluminium Squeegee holder with square cut blade is solvent-resistant, easy to clean and can be used with plastisol, water-based and specialist inks for printing on textiles or paper. We recommend washing the squeegee immediately after printing and allowing it to “rest” between long print runs, in order to maximise its long-life performance. Available in different sizes to suit a variety of image sizes for screenprinting.
Suitable for all types of screen meshes, Kiwo's Pregan NT9 (Ecoline) Screen Printing Degreaser is a highly efficient cleaning and degreasing agent conceived for artists and printmakers looking for environmentally sound screenprinting products. Made with renewable raw materials, the Kiwo's Pregan NT9 (Ecoline) Screen Printing Degreaser is ready to use and prevents the appearance of pinholes and surface deterioration when coating with direct emulsions. Thanks to its viscous consistency, this screen printing degreaser allows for an economical application and optimum distribution. It is pH-neutral, free from phosphates and chlorides and is easily biodegradable. An ideal product for artists and printmakers looking for non-toxic and safer alternatives to traditional printmaking methods.
Speedball Professional Relief Inks are lightfast and archival oil-based printmaking inks which can be washed up with just soap and water. These inks are designed for all types of relief printing, especially linocut and woodcut. This is an 8oz (236.5ml) tin of Diarylide Yellow (PY65, Speedball Lightfastness rating I). It is suitable for mixing with any of the Speedball Professional Relief Ink colours. To increase the transparency of this ink, add Speedball Professional Relief Transparent Base. The ink can be stiffened with talc or magnesium carbonate, and thinned with water. Because the ink can be thinned with water, it is preferable to print onto dry paper.

This new-generation acid resist has been specially designed as part of the acrylic-resist etching system. The lines, marks and textures which can be generated by using this resist in its soft state are comparable to those offered by traditional soft grounds (soft drawn marks and collage textures). Lascaux Soft resist is water-soluble, ready to use, nontoxic and suitable for use on copper, brass, zinc, steel and aluminium. This slow drying resist is designed to offset easily, allowing a range of image-making methods to be explored. When the layer of resist is dry it may be drawn into with a range of etching tools or stopped-out. It is compatible with the other Lascaux resists and photopolymer resists such as Photec.
Lascaux Wash resist has been specially designed as part of the acrylic-resist etching system and should be used in combination with Lascaux Aquatint spray resist. This unique acid resist is painted on etching plates to create washes and tonal effects. They are particularly effective on brass and copper.
Wood engravers use Tint Tools to create incisions on the surface of woodblocks. As woodblocks are inked with a roller, these recessed incisions do not receive ink. They therefore show up white in the final print. This is a fine Tint Tool (#1), designed for cutting straight lines of a constant width. The trade engravers of the Nineteenth century referred to a series of parallel lines as a 'tint'. They used tints to depict colour and form; by varying the width and spacing of the lines that made up their tints, they were able to attain a sophisticated range of mid-tones, between the white of the paper and the black of the ink. This tool is not designed to cut curves; use a Graver or (preferably) a Spitsticker for that. The shank of the tool may be damaged if you force it to make corners. This tool was made from high carbon tool steel in the United States by E.C. Lyons. It is supplied factory-sharp, but it has not been honed to a fine edge. Please note, engraving tools are known by different names in the UK and the United States. Tint Tools are known as 'Angle Tints' or 'Angle Tint Tools' in the USA.

Stippling Tools are primarily used by copper engravers, but can also be used on wood. Copper engravers use them to create dots on the surface of metal plates, which will hold ink during the printing process. The dots thus show up as black in the final print. Stippling Tools will often raise a slight burr on the metal plate, around the edge of the stipple, which can be scraped away. Wood engravers use Stippling Tools to create a carpet of small round dimples on the surface of woodblocks. As woodblocks are inked with a roller, these recessed dimples do not receive ink, and therefore show up white in the final print. This tool was made from high carbon tool steel in the United States by E.C. Lyons. It is supplied factory-sharp, but it has not been honed to a fine edge.
Lozenge Gravers are used by wood engravers and copper engravers. The face of the tool is lozenge-shaped and will cut a line deeper than it is wide.
