Sometimes it seems like too much of a chore to get our lunch prepped for the day ahead, especially when we're committed to (or experimenting with) a plant-based diet We can often run out of inspiration too, meaning we end up with the same dull lunch every day - a drudgery which makes healthy eating much harder than it should be. The 5-Minute Vegan Lunchbox aims to make prepping your lunch each day a breeze - ensuring your days are deliciously healthy and completely vegan, too. The 52 recipes cover a range of diverse salads, utilizing the power of grains, beans, veggies and more. There's also advice throughout on how to make bulk lunches for your week, if that's your style, and how you might be able to overhaul last night's leftovers into a great midday meal.
For 25 years, the Burdon family have managed Jervaulx Abbey, one of the largest privately owned Cistercian abbeys in the UK. This book celebrates the wonderful cakes, bakes and chutneys they have become famous for in that time, all sold from the neighbouring Jervaulx Abbey Tearoom. From classic bakes such as their fruity tea bread to cakes with a modern twist such as their legendary red velvet cake, the loaves, tarts and tray bakes to emerge from the oven at Jervaulx have kept guests heartily fed for 25 years. Alongside these, they have also become famous for their range of relishes, jams and chutneys, which include a sumptuous Wensleydale beer and apple chutney, while their raspberry and almond cake was named Best Free-From Product at the Deliciously Yorkshire Awards in 2017. The tearoom is run by Ian Burdon and his wife Carol, and their two daughters Gayle and Anna, but it was Ian's father, Major Burdon, who bought the land and what remained of the twelfth century abbey as a place to return to his Yorkshire roots in 1971. The abbey's significant restoration project was managed by his sons, Rae and Ian, before in 1993, Ian and Carol repurchased part of the estate and converted a couple of greenhouses into the Jervaulx Abbey Tearoom, with daughters Gayle and Anna joining the business 15 years later. By making and selling a range of freshly made food since then, using ingredients sourced locally from producers around Yorkshire, the Burdons have not only bought a great deal of joy to their customers over the years but they have also followed in the footsteps of the monks who originally lived and worked within the abbey's walls. This book is a must-have not only for fans of the abbey and its tearoom, but for cake aficionados everywhere.

The Instant Pot was first created in 2010 as seven cooking gadgets in one: pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, fryer, yoghurt maker and warmer. It has fourteen built-in smart programs: Soup, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chilli, Poultry, Saute, Steam, Rice, Porridge, Multigrain, Slow Cook, Keep-Warm, Yoghurt, Pasteurise and Fermenting. Over the last six months Instant Pots have become a viral sensation in the UK, achieving what the Daily Mail has called 'cult-like' status. Despite already selling many thousands in the USA (one machine has 24,000 reviews on Amazon.com), Amazon.co.uk (with 1,500 reviews for the same machine) quickly ran out of stock of the device, which sells for under GBP100. Pinterest is flooded with the various recipes you can make in the device, from stews to cheesecake. The Essential Instant Pot Cookbook provides plenty of failsafe recipes such as a whole roasted chicken with mushroom gravy and decadent New York cheesecake, also a hearty array of contemporary meals, such as Greek-style Gigantes beans with fresh feta, braised pork loin with balsamic vinegar and caramelized onions, and much, much more!

Many people are intrigued by the current trend for veganism. This book is for all those who want to 'have a go' - whether it's simply to improve their diet or lighten the load on the planet - but who don't have the time or the inclination to follow a vegan diet full time. There are numerous glossy vegan cookbooks (and authors) extolling the benefits of everything from making nut milks to replicating the taste of cheese. This book is different. The recipes in The Part-time Vegan are straightforward, feature readily available ingredients and are, of course, delicious, because they are based on the best simple, natural flavours that nature has to offer. As well as providing recipes for midweek and weekend breakfasts, lunches and main meals, the book covers why being a part-time vegan is a great approach to health - when we balance vegan recipes with high-quality sources non-processed meat, fish and dairy. After all, variety is key to a healthy diet.
