To God be the glory for the things he has done. He has done great things. I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This book is written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It begins with memories of my struggle as a child learning to survive living in a life of poverty, where my mother did everything she could to take care of her children. It also depicts my enthusiasm to strive to be a breadwinner at an early age. The recording of the dreams started from a dream in which the Spirit spoke to me. Its sole purpose is to encourage those who have made a conscious decision to live according to the word of God that they are not alone. We are going to have trials and tribulations in this walk of life. Don't give up. God is always there with you. Even during the most difficult challenges of your life. Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will be with you until the very end. Although we cannot see him, He has a way of revealing Himself to us. The assurance that God is with you is shown by the manifestation of how he places his angels around you to protect, encourage, and minister to your every need. In this book, you will read about the times in my life which God has revealed himself to me through angelical beings spiritually and physically. Through struggles and life challenges, they have been with me all the way. They were either by vision or physical existence. Hold on to your dreams and keep the vision alive. "Hebrews 13:5 says, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
I guess after the healing inside my body, the way I look has been just as difficult to accept. I hated the way people stared at me after I lost my hair. The indention in my head also bothered me a lot. I know it is never going to go away, and the child in me wanted to fill it in with Silly Putty. I felt like the monster in "The Goonies" until Steve changed that for me in the blink of an eye. Without even asking, he put his finger in the indention on my head and said to me, "God put His hand on you and said, 'this is my Patsy '" That one statement changed the way I thought about my "look" and took all of the hurt about it away. He helped me see that I am truly one of God's special children
Sand between my toes, the salt air wrapping around me like a warm, summer blanket, the crashing of waves, and the meeting of sky and water. The beach is where I see the handiwork of God. As a young child, it was there that I wished that I could walk on the water as Jesus and Peter had in Matthew 14. It was there that I learned of faith, the faith that requires you to not only step out of the boat but also to focus on Jesus and learn to walk toward Him daily. It is not enough to just get out of our comfort zones, but now we need to learn to grow and walk toward Him constantly. The Faith to Walk on Water takes a look at why standing still in our faith is no longer an option, how doubt and fear are overcome by Jesus. He does not watch from a distance, but He is always there holding out His hand for us to take hold. So what are you waiting for? Take that step, and walk on the water
When I received news of an "incurable" cancer recurrence, I naturally assumed it was the will of God. I was forty-eight years young and determined to accept whatever came my way. But there's a different mindset required when you are either accepting death or preparing for battle. In this search for meaning and direction, I found hope, permission, and the power to choose life. As a two-time cancer conqueror, Doreen understands the ups, downs, fears, and concerns of those struggling through disease. Combining her expertise in goal-setting and effective thinking skills with the knowledge and power of Scripture, Doreen offers seven critical choices to co-create an environment for healing. Most people hope and pray for healing but subconsciously sabotage their own wellness. They spend more time worrying and talking about the disease than their vision of health. It's vital they learn to manage their thoughts, emotions and self-talk in a manner consistent with what they want. The Mind to Heal is book two of the HEALED series. It focuses on our role and responsibility to receive healing. It provides tools, principles, and strategies for how to think victoriously to overcome disease.

In this provocative book Warren A. Nord argues that public schools
and universities leave the vast majority of students religiously
illiterate. Such education is not religiously neutral, a matter of
constitutional importance; indeed, it borders on secular
indoctrination when measured against the requirements of a good
liberal education and the demands of critical thinking. Nord also
argues that religious perspectives must be included in courses that
address morality and those Big Questions that a good education
cannot ignore. He outlines a variety of civic reasons for studying
religion, and argues that the Establishment Clause doesn't just
permit, but requires, taking religion seriously. While
acknowledging the difficulty of taking religion seriously in
schools and universities, Nord makes a cogent case for requiring
both high school and undergraduate students to take a year long
course in religious studies, and for discussing religion in any
course that deals with religiously controversial material. The
final chapters address how religion might best be addressed in
history, literature, economics, and (perhaps most controversially)
science courses. He also discusses Bible courses, and the relevance
of religion to moral education and ethics courses.

Satan tries to corrupt every good thing that God gives us, and he often succeeds at this through our own ignorance and complacency. In Ultimate Truth and Lies, author Adelle Yvette Potgieter exposes the web of lies that Satan has spun to ensnare believers and unbelievers alike. In turn, she counters those lies and their consequences with the real truths about God. Part I provides an overview of topics relating to varied aspects of our daily lives, such as poverty and suffering; religion and custom; destiny, purpose, and choice; gender, marriage, and sex; emotion; and forgiveness. It challenges traditional mainstream thinking and shows that manmade rules, inspired by Satan, deny the opportunity for happy, fulfilling lives. Part II focuses on self-development exercises and explores issues such as anger, rage, sadness, and negative thoughts that impact our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Potgieter offers skills to change your life for the better. Part III is a collection of thought-provoking poems that will inspire the reader and invites reflection of personal life truths. Ultimate Truth and Lies challenges you to examine your life. Are you living as a victim of Satan or as a victorious spiritual warrior of the living God? A happy life is yours for the taking by accepting the responsibility and undertaking the work necessary to reach that goal.

A Time to Grow, the third volume of the history of the Racine Dominican Sisters, tells the congregation's story from 1901 to 1964. After briefly recapturing the tumultuous development of the community while headed by Mother Hyacintha Oberbrunner from after the death of Mother Thomasina Ginker until the election of Sister Emily Acker in 1901, the book chronicles the period leading up to the Second Vatican Council and the changes already being set in motion before the congregational elections of 1964. Illustrations depict the lives of ordinary sisters as they struggled to observe the many regulations and customs handed down from a previous monastic era while carrying out their teaching ministry.
Celebration: Eucharistic Faith and Practice surveys the Bible's witnesses to God's interactions with his people. It sketches the contours of the theological disagreements that have beset the Church in light of attempts to incorporate Aristotelian philosophy into its sacramental theology. Author Bruce Upham presents a way past the conflict. He proposes that Christians turn their attention to Jesus Christ's promises to be present bodily in the Eucharist and to his calling to his followers to become his body-his arms and legs-through the celebration of the Eucharist for the sake of the Holy Spirit's mission. Working from a variety of sources, Celebration draws upon highlights of the scriptural testimony to the presence and work of God, references to the Church's history of theology, and insights from the work of philosophers. It weaves together these strands to create a compact presentation of a theologically defensible understanding of the real presence, without rearguing the issues that cluster around Aristotle's philosophy of being. Whether you have found yourself living according to the Catholic perspective or the Protestant view of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, Celebration extends the hope of discovering a way to transcend past conflicts and to return, instead, to the joy of celebrating Christ's eucharistic gift in both faith and practice.
