McClane manages to evade capture, however, and sets out to rescue his wife and the other prisoners. In 'Die Hard 2 - Die Harder' (1990), John McClane is again set to meet up with Holly on Christmas Eve, this time at Dulles International Airport in Washington DC. However, when terrorists take over the airport in an attempt to rescue dictator Esperanza (Franco Nero) from his incoming flight, it is up to McClane to restore order and ensure that Holly's plane lands safely. In 'Die Hard With a Vengeance' (1995), McClane becomes involved in a twisted game of Simon Says when an evil terrorist (Jeremy Irons) sends him dashing all over the city in an effort to find a series of explosive devices. Teaming up with electrician Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), McClane soon discovers that the bombs are an elaborate ruse intended to provide cover for a billion dollar bank job. 'Die Hard 4.0' (2007) finds McClane routinely asked to bring in computer hacker Matt Farrell (Justin Long) for questioning. In transit, events overtake them as they witness a full-scale cyber attack on the country's infrastructure led by mystery man Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant), who plans to systematically shut down or destroy the nation's major networks over three days. McClane and his hacker friend have to stop the mastermind before it's too late. Finally, in 'A Good Day to Die Hard' (2013), McClane travels to Russia to help out his son Jack (Jai Courtney), who, unbeknownst to his father, is an undercover CIA operative trying to stop the theft of nuclear weapons. With the Russian mafia snapping at their heels and time running out, the pair soon discover that although their approaches may differ slightly, the end result is certainly no less explosive.

When the activating button for a nuclear launch is lost at sea, it is up to James Bond to retrieve it before it falls into the wrong hands. Roger Moore once again plays 007 in this, the 12th Bond outing, director John Glen's first Bond film and the first without an Ian Fleming credit. Pretty soon its snow, kilts, girls, secret bases and ski chases, as Bond chases down his enemy and attempts to foil a plan to unleash a deadly chemical weapon.

Alec Baldwin stars as Lamont Cranston, alias The Shadow, in this big screen adaptation of the popular 1930s radio series. Once a gangster himself, Cranston now uses his special powers of invisibility for the collective good, waging a war against his arch-foe, the criminal mastermind Shiwan Khan (John Lone). Kahn has kidnapped the scientist father of the beautiful Margo Lane (Penelope Ann Miller), built an atom bomb, and threatened to destroy New York City unless a large ransom is paid. Can Cranston locate Kahn's secret headquarters and defuse the bomb or is it bye-bye to the Big Apple?

Dan Rickard co-writes, directs and stars in this British action horror. When Dan (Rickard) wakes up on Brighton Beach with no recollection of the past few days he discovers the world he has woken up to has been ravaged by an apocalyptic zombie virus. He manages to seek refuge with a team of fellow survivors but the group are soon targeted by the army who are hunting Dan, forcing them to go on the run to avoid the military as well as the walking dead who are roaming the abandoned streets.

Military action feature starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. A top secret US tracking device goes missing when the F-111 fighter jet transporting it is shot out of the sky. The KGB, led by the infamous Andrei (Van Damme), have the upper hand in their race with the CIA to retrieve it, until the Americans level the playing field by enlisting the help of martial arts expert Ken Tani (Shô Kosugi), code-named the Black Eagle.

Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman star in this sci-fi action thriller written and directed by Luc Besson. Johansson stars as the titular heroine who finds herself caught up in the dodgy dealings of the Taiwanese mob while living in Taipei. Forced into becoming a smuggler, she is drugged before a package is inserted into her stomach for safe transit.

Lucy is then severely beaten for protesting her situation which results in the package bursting inside her and leaking into her bloodstream. As the drug takes over her body, Lucy becomes capable of using a higher brain capacity than humans are naturally accustomed to which makes her able to use telekinesis and absorb knowledge rapidly. Meanwhile, neurological scientist Professor Norman (Freeman) takes an interest in Lucy's evolution as she takes revenge on those responsible for her extraordinary transformation and evades those who wish to harness her powers for their own ends.
