Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as Wade Wilson from the 2009 movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' as he becomes the unlikely superhero known as Deadpool. When Special Forces operative Wade Wilson is diagnosed with terminal cancer, he prepares himself for the worst, until an experimental physician approaches him with the promise that he can stop him from dying and give him a better life... as a superhero. As Wade Wilson turns into Deadpool, an unconventional hero with a love of killing people and bisexual tendencies, he sets about exacting revenge on the people who ruined his life. The cast also includes Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein.
The second and final of Timothy Dalton's outings as James Bond sees 007 leave Her Majesty's Secret Sevice and branch out on his own. The trouble begins when drug baron Franz Sanchez (Robert Davi) makes an unexpected appearance at the wedding of Felix Leiter (David Hedison), Bond's good friend, leaving the groom maimed and the bride dead. Bond has no choice but to seek his revenge and, with a little help from the obligatory 'Bond girl' (Carey Lowell) and the ever-present Q (Desmond Llewellyn), sets out after the villainous Sanchez. Causing a storm on its release because of its violence and dark plot, the film was originally given an 18 certificate before studio cuts.
Daniel Craig returns as James Bond 007 in the globe-trotting franchise for which the term action movie was invented. After being betrayed by Vesper in Casino Royale, Bond (Craig) turns his sights on those who controlled her. Interrogating Mr White (Jesper Christensen), Bond discovers that the shadowy organisation responsible for blackmailing Vesper is a lot more powerful and dangerous than he ever imagined. Tracing a link to Hawaii, Bond soon crosses paths with Ukrainian beauty Camille (Olga Kurylenko) who leads him to megalomaniacal businessman Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), head of the organisation known simply as Quantum. Wishing to control one of the world's natural resources, Greene's organisation has a finger in every government agency worldwide, and it falls to Bond to keep one step ahead of his friends, and enemies, to stop Greene holding the world to ransom.
When a space shuttle goes missing during a test flight, James Bond (Roger Moore) is the man who must track it down. His investigations take him to Venice (where he uses his specially customized gondola), Rio de Janeiro (where he fights steel-toothed henchman Jaws on top of a cable car), and finally into outer space (where he uncovers a ruthless plot to wipe out the human race and replace it with genetically engineered humanoids). Highlights include Bond's encounters with NASA scientist Dr Holly Goodhead (Lois Chiles) and the climactic battle aboard villain Hugo Drax's (Michael Lonsdale) space station.
James Bond (Sean Connery) pits his wits against the power-crazed criminal mastermind Goldfinger (Gert Frobe) in the third of the long-running spy series. Mr Finger has secured most of the gold in the world and now plans to render the rest useless. Henchman Oddjob (Harold Sakata) helps him realise his plans, thanks to his unusually lethal bowler hat, whilst Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman) is the glamorous pilot who Goldfinger hopes will execute the raid on Fort Knox that will make him the richest man in the world. Can Bond save the day again or has he finally met his match in the man with the Midas touch? Includes the famous customized Aston Martin DB5, complete with machine guns, smoke screen and ejector seat.
Dan Rickard co-writes, directs and stars in this British action horror. When Dan (Rickard) wakes up on Brighton Beach with no recollection of the past few days he discovers the world he has woken up to has been ravaged by an apocalyptic zombie virus. He manages to seek refuge with a team of fellow survivors but the group are soon targeted by the army who are hunting Dan, forcing them to go on the run to avoid the military as well as the walking dead who are roaming the abandoned streets.
When the activating button for a nuclear launch is lost at sea, it is up to James Bond to retrieve it before it falls into the wrong hands. Roger Moore once again plays 007 in this, the 12th Bond outing, director John Glen's first Bond film and the first without an Ian Fleming credit. Highlights include a climb up a sheer rock-face; a car chase down a steep, winding mountain road; an underwater battle; and what might be the greatest of all Bond's celebrated ski chase sequences.
Victor Webster reprises his role as the young warrior Mathayus in this fourth instalment of the action/adventure franchise. When he is framed for the murder of the king of Norvania, Mathayus must fend off his pursuers while trying to clear his name. But with much of the kingdom against him, can Mathayus find anybody willing to help him?
Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg, this sci-fi action adventure is the fourth instalment in the film series based on the 1980s cartoons. Four years after the invasion of Chicago, mechanic and single parent Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) discovers what he believes to be a dilapidated truck and takes it home to repair. What he really has resting in his garage is a deactivated Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen). When government officials learn of the discovery they try to push humanitarian boundaries in the name of scientific development.
Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman star in this sci-fi action thriller written and directed by Luc Besson. Johansson stars as the titular heroine who finds herself caught up in the dodgy dealings of the Taiwanese mob while living in Taipei. Forced into becoming a smuggler, she is drugged before a package is inserted into her stomach for safe transit. Lucy is then severely beaten for protesting her situation which results in the package bursting inside her and leaking into her bloodstream. As the drug takes over her body, Lucy becomes capable of using a higher brain capacity than humans are naturally accustomed to which makes her able to use telekinesis and absorb knowledge rapidly. Meanwhile, neurological scientist Professor Norman (Freeman) takes an interest in Lucy's evolution as she takes revenge on those responsible for her extraordinary transformation and evades those who wish to harness her powers for their own ends.
Robert De Niro and John Travolta star in this action thriller from director Mark Steven Johnson. Emil Kovac (Travolta) is a former Scorpions soldier based in Serbia on the assignment of his career: find and capture Colonel Benjamin Ford (De Niro). Wanted for being a former NATO operative, Ford has now retired from war and lives a reclusive lifestyle in the Appalachian mountains. Determined to finish what his people started, Kovac poses as a friendly European tourist and tracks Ford to his secret hideaway. As Kovac gets all the evidence he needs, he pursues Ford in a brutal game of cat and mouse, intent on bringing him to justice.

New York City-set action thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon. When a Manhattan bicycle courier (Gordon-Leavitt) picks up an envelope from Columbia University, he has no idea that its contents are of crucial interest to a corrupt police officer (Shannon). Tension builds as the cop relentlessly pursues the cyclist through the streets of the city, desperate to get his hands on the crucial package.
South Korean aviation action film directed by Dong-won Kim. Cocky Air Force pilot, Tae-hun (Rain) is removed from the elite 'Black Eagles' flying team after performing a dangerous stunt in the middle of an air show. After being transferred to a combat unit, he meets and falls in love with Se-young (Se-Kyung Shin), the maintenance girl, but the peace is disrupted when a North Korean MIG fighter flies into the city of Seoul. Tae-hun must then use his expert low-flying skills in order to engage the enemy and protect his friends and country.

Majors' past threatens to catch up with him, however, when a remorseless group, led by Graham (Billy Zane), launches a series of bids to assassinate him. A frantic battle for survival ensues, in which Majors will need to draw on all his former skills to make it through. Salvaging his political career from the secrets of his past may well be another matter. |
