Comedy in which two rival musicians are handcuffed together at a music festival. Adam (Luke Treadway) and Morello (Natalia Tena) appear to be as far apart from each other as performers at the same festival can be. Adam is a member of a famous US boy band called 'The Make' and is in a relationship with a bland model, Lake (Ruta Gedmintas). Morello, in contrast, fronts the 'Dirty Pinks', an up-and-coming female indie band. When the two are handcuffed together by an eccentric festival-goer, who proceeds to make off with the key, the pair can only hope the unifying power of music will work its magic. Not least as they both have to take to the stage that day...

During the winter of 1952, British authorities entered the home of mathematician, cryptanalyst and war hero Alan Turing to investigate a reported burglary. They instead ended up arresting Turing himself on charges of ‘gross indecency’, an accusation that would lead to his devastating conviction for the criminal offense of homosexuality – little did officials know, they were actually incriminating the pioneer of modern-day computing. Famously leading a motley group of scholars, linguists, chess champions and intelligence officers, he was credited with cracking the so-called unbreakable codes of Germany's World War II Enigma machine.

Soon after, the town is overrun by a new breed of Mogwai - the 'Gremlins' - who are menacing little reptilian creatures, and far from friendly.

Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White to remind Aragorn of his destiny to unite the people of Rohan with Gondor. Whilst the Fellowship are not travelling together they must unite against the powerful forces coming from the Two Towers: Orthanc Tower in Isengard where Saruman has bred a deadly army of 10,000, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dûr.
After their father's death, brothers Wilbur [Jamie Sives] and Harbour [Adrian Rawlins] inherit a second-hand bookshop in Glasgow. Wilbur is a melancholy chap who has tried to kill himself many times and his latest in a series of a suicide attempts finds him in hospital where a psychologist called Horst [Mads Mikkelsen] and the head nurse, Moira [Julia Davis], decide what he needs is a girlfriend. It is Harbour however who finds himself a girlfriend first. He falls for Alice [Shirley Henderson], a bashful yet intense woman who works as a cleaner in the hospital and also sells books. The three become very close and their friendship brings out the best in them - Wilbur starts to find some joy in life, Alice feels less shy and Harbour is overspilling with happiness. But there is a dark secret just around the corner.
This British crime drama set in London's East End is the cinematic debut of TV director Alex Pillai. Israeli war drama directed by Samuel Maoz and based on his own experiences. Depicting 24 hours in the life of four Israeli paratroopers at the outset of the 1982 Lebanon invasion, the film follows the soldiers on a mission to clear a Lebanese area of hostile fighters. Filmed almost entirely from inside the tank in which they are travelling, the film follows the men as they cope with the deteriorating state of the tank, the stress, intense heat and cramped conditions inside, the occasional failure of the communication equipment, navigational problems and the inevitable quarrelling. |
