You can prepare your lino by lightly sanding the surface with fine sandpaper, and you can soften it to ease cutting by gently warming.

Prints can be re-soaked immediately after printing if handled carefully. Once the print is dry, Akua Intaglio is permanent. Ink will never skin or harden in the jar or the ink slab, meaning minimal ink is wasted. Wiping the plate with Akua Intaglio is easier than wiping oil-based ink, meaning you need to spend less time cleaning up.

Burnishers are used to flatten a section of a metal plate in order to remove engraved or etched patterns and lines. This 'erases' the marks on this area. This ball-burnisher is designed to be used for detailed work. This coloured resist is fluid and can be easily painted onto plates to create images, make corrections to plates or used for stopping-out. It can be drawn into with etching tools when dry. Lascaux Stop-out resist is water-soluble, ready to use, non-toxic and suitable for use on copper, brass, zinc, steel and aluminium. The resist is highly acid-resistant and durable on unbitten or previously etched plates (e.g. aquatint, deep open bite). It is compatible with the other Lascaux resists and photopolymer resists such as Photec. Lascaux Stop-out resist may also be used to create a variety of effects on collagraph plates.

Adigraf Acrylic Block Printing Medium turns acrylic paint into block and lino printing ink. This Block Printing Medium is designed to be mixed with System3 paints on 1.5 parts medium to 1 part paint ratio. We do not advise mixing this medium with Adigraf Water Soluble Inks.

Once the drawing fluid is dry, the entire screen surface is then blocked out with System 3 Removable Screen Block, applied by squeegee. Again, once dry, the previously drawn image is washed out in cold water to leave an open-mesh positive image ready for printing. The screens can be reclaimed after printing by washing out the screen block with hot water and soap. Screen Block should be kept upright and stored at normal room temperature.
