An ideal introduction to screen printing inks. Contents Include: 6 x Speedball Ink Jars 4 oz (118ml) 1 x Black 1 x Red 1 x Blue 1 x White 1 x Green 1 x Yellow
This combination tool is designed to be used in intaglio printmaking processes. Both tools will reduce the ability of an area of a plate to hold ink.One end is a blunt burnishing tool, used for smoothing the face of the metal plate in order to soften engraved lines and remove burrs. The convex stem of the tool, just below the tip (rather than the tip itself) is used for this purpose, in a polishing motion. The other tool is a scraper, used to lower the plate surface and scrape away burrs.
Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Inks are an oil-based range of bold, permanent colours designed to be with washed up with soap and water. They are an opaque ink with excellent coverage and by adding Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Transparent Extender you can create transparent colours while maintain the inks viscosity. These inks are designed to print onto smooth fabrics that do not possess a heavy texture or stretch such as cotton, linen, broadcloth or denim. Nylon and canvas are not recommended. Your printing block can be lino, wood or any similar surface and soft rubber rollers or brayers are ideally suited for inking the block.Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Inks will dry to the touch overnight depending on your climate and they do not require any setting with heat. It is recommended you wait 4-7 days before washing your fabrics after printing.
Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks are suitable for all types of relief printing, for example, linocut, woodcut, wood engraving, photopolymer and letterpress. Safe Wash Inks are oil-based, this means you can still use many of the modifiers used with traditional inks. For example you can use Magnesium Carbonate / Talc, Cobalt / Manganese Driers, or Caligo Wiping Compound / Tack Reducer etc.
Pfeil Sharpenin Stones are the ideal tools to sharpen your lino cutting equipment and, in turn, to achieve excellent quality cut marks.
Akua Intaglio Ink was originally formulated for intaglio printmaking, however this ink can also be applied with a brayer for relief printmaking, monotype, and collagraphs; and it will print from any plastic, wood, linoleum or metal plate. It is a soy based ink which is made with high quality lightfast pigments. The inks have a thick consistency with minimal water content and contain no toxic driers - this means a longer working time. The ink cleans up easily with a dry rag followed by soap and water. Inexpensive liquid dish detergent can be used. Never use toxic solvents. Prints can be re-soaked immediately after printing if handled carefully. Once the print is dry, Akua Intaglio is permanent. Ink will never skin or harden in the jar or the ink slab, meaning minimal ink is wasted. Wiping the plate with Akua Intaglio is easier than wiping oil-based ink, meaning you need to spend less time cleaning up.
The set also includes 100ml of premium quality water-based block printing ink and a 45mm ink roller which is enough to create many prints from your designs. The instructions will help and guide you through the process from carving to printing.

Available in A4 or A3 sizes.Bockingford Inkjet is the answer for artists who wish to create their own limited edition prints. Fantastic prints can be reproduced to look like the original, when using a good inkjet printer. Artists familiar with the original Bockingford watercolour paper will recognise the same beautiful surface on Bockingford Inkjet. It is made in the same time-honoured fashion as Bockingford watercolour paper using a traditional mould machine.Unlike other artist inkjet papers, Bockingford Inkjet has an ink receptive coating on both sides of the sheet, allowing limited edition books and portfolios to be created.
Lascaux Stop-out resist has been specially designed as part of the acrylic-resist etching system. This coloured resist is fluid and can be easily painted onto plates to create images, make corrections to plates or used for stopping-out. It can be drawn into with etching tools when dry. Lascaux Stop-out resist is water-soluble, ready to use, non-toxic and suitable for use on copper, brass, zinc, steel and aluminium. The resist is highly acid-resistant and durable on unbitten or previously etched plates (e.g. aquatint, deep open bite). It is compatible with the other Lascaux resists and photopolymer resists such as Photec. Lascaux Stop-out resist may also be used to create a variety of effects on collagraph plates.
Made from soft, natural latex gum rubber with a precision-ground finish, Speedball Soft Rubber Brayers are ideal for use with linoleum, vinyl, or wood blocks. The heavy-duty steel frame provides enhanced durability, and the flexibility of the 40/42 durometer rubber ensures for even ink distribution especially over uneven surfaces. The roller diameter is 30mm and the widths range from 1.5in/38mm to 6in/150mm. Designed for use with water based and oil based inks.Care should be taken with the rubber rollers when cleaning and storing. Lightly dust with talc to avoid the surface becoming sticky and ensure the surface of the roller is not pressing against anything when put away.

Jackson's Polished Copper Etching Plate, made with 0.9mm polished copper plate for etching. The polished surface is protected with a plastic film so simply requires degreasing before applying ground. The back of the plate will require the application of an acid resistant stop out. Copper is a harder metal than zinc and plates will withstand more printing. It is also idealy suited to non-etching intaglio techniques such as drypoint and engraving and mezzotint.
Twisted steel double-ended dry point scribe, used for adding detail or tone to metal plates for intaglio printmaking processes. The line is created as the dry point or needle is dragged or drawn over the plate. If this tool is used to add detail or tone directly to the metal plate (a technique known as 'drypoint'), it will inscribe a line with a slight burr, which will print a blurred, indistinct line. This effect can be controlled by manipulating the angle at which the point meets the plate.
This innovative range of oil-based inks can be washed away with liquid soap and water, without the need for harmful and often more expensive solvents. Ideal for printmakers interested in a safe and non-toxic alternative. Caligo 'safe wash' inks are available for both relief and intaglio printing. Contains a small percentage of driers (less than 1%).Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks are suitable for all types of relief printing, for example, linocut, woodcut, wood engraving, photopolymer and letterpress. These grey sheets / blocks of lino are especially made for "linocut" relief printmaking. They are 3.2mm thick, have a fabric backing, and are available in a range of sizes and packs. The surface of the lino is cut away using special lino cutters or a knife to form the basis of the lino print. The block is inked up with a roller (known as a brayer) and this creates a positive image when printed onto paper or fabric. The printing process can be done by hand or with a press. You can use water-based lino ink, oil-based lino ink, or a block printing medium mixed with paint.
Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plates have the appearance and feel of gelatine, but are durable, reusable and can be stored at room temperature. Gel Printing Plates are easy to clean and are always ready for printing. When monoprinting on a Gelli plate the technique is simple and the gratification is immediate. pdf=Gelli_Instructions.pdf Gelli Plates Instructions and Care youtube=TjViUs3ftRU
