It is 1734 in Burlington, New Jersey, and nineteen-year-old Aislin Collins carries many secrets, but the one that threatens to surface has the potential to change her life forever: Aislin is a witch. Now, something evil lurks in the woods outside Aislin's home. Animals are found slaughtered and drained of every drop of blood. It stalks in the shadows as men patrol the forest nightly to hunt the unknown malice, but the creature is not interested in them. It is after Aislin, for the creature is the servant of a witch hunter, and is cloaked by dark magic. As rumors spread through town, Aislin is protected by a handsome, mysterious stranger who disappears as quickly as he arrives. Even as the witch hunter haunts her every step, her protector, Greer, appears in all her dreams. Aislin realizes she is falling undeniably in love with Greer, but her mother is suspicious of him and fears that Aislin is falling into a trap. Soon, Aislin must face a destiny she never foresaw, but as she attempts to protect herself and all those she loves from the witch hunter's wrath, the spirits keep warning her, "Things are not as they appear..".

Abdullah was a young and not very prosperous carpet dealer. His father, who had been disappointed in him, had left him only enough money to open a modest booth in the Bazaar. When he was not selling carpets, Abdullah spent his time daydreaming. In his dreams he was not the son of his father, but the long-lost son of a prince. There was also a princess who had been betrothed to him at birth. He was content with his life and his daydreams until, one day, a stranger sold him a magic carpet. In this stunning sequel to Howl's Moving Castle, Diana Wynne Jones has again created a large-scale, fast-paced fantasy in which people and things are never quite what they seem. There are good and bad djinns, a genie in a bottle, wizards, witches, cats and dogs (but are they cats and dogs?), and a mysterious floating castle filled with kidnapped princesses, as well as two puzzling prophecies. The story speeds along with tantalizing twists and turns until the prophecies are fulfilled, true identities are revealed, and all is resolved in a totally satisfying, breathtaking, surprise-filled ending.

""Somewhere in the world I have a tiara in a little box. It is not safe for me to wear it...It is not safe for me even to tell anyone who I really am. But I know -- I have always known."" Cecilia knows that she is not just another peasant girl; she is actually the true princess, in hiding until the evil forces that killed her parents are vanquished. A commoner named Desmia is on the throne as a decoy. As she gets older, Cecilia finds it harder to study statesmanship and palace protocol secretly at night and then pretend that she has nothing on her mind other than scrubbing the gruel stains out of her best apron by day. Cecilia knows that it is time to take charge. Along with her best friend, Harper, she flees to the capital city, determined to reclaim her throne and face the danger head on. When Harper and Cecilia reach the famed Palace of Mirrors, they discover complications: Princess Desmia believes an entirely different version of the story. Acclaimed author Margaret Peterson Haddix returns to the charmed world of "Just Ella, " where a princess-in-hiding and a pretender to the throne discover that nothing is as it appears.

Why? To what end? Where will it all lead? Who is behind it, and what do they want? Unravel the mystery and discover the answers to these questions and a lot more, that up until now, most humans have been afraid to ask. -- And perhaps still not quite ready to face. Is it fiction, or reality? Is it too much light? Is it too much truth to take in all at once? At times during the journey, it certainly seems so. Discover what Earth's leading quantum physicists already know about our shared inner reality, and how it relates to the outer universe, in some of the newest and hardest-hitting Sci-Fi around. And perhaps, as you embark on your own journey of self-discovery, learn how your own imagination can take you to places far more desirable than the "reality" you have been programmed to accept. If you are ready. But keep in mind, it's just a story. It's only science fiction.
Lily Earns Her Wings is a fable that teaches children, on a moral level, to help someone in need and to be thankful when on the receiving end of the help. On a younger level, it teaches the child to recognize colors, animals, and objects. Lily is a sweet butterfly born without color on her wings. She helps everyone she meets. Each scene is represented by another color, which then appears on her wings until she is filled with colors. Eventually, Lily is lost and other colorless butterflies help her. They too earn their colors and fly off.
