For many years artists have appreciated the qualities of the Langton. Made traditionally on a cylinder mould machine, it features a natural whiteness with a soft touch and distinctive texture. Langton watercolour paper is acid free with an alkali reserve to preserve finished pieces of work and protect against discolouration. Treated with an anti-fungal treatment, Langton watercolour paper also boasts a gelatinised surface for strength and resilience. Please note, these sheets have a rough finish. They have a textured surface, and are not suitable for painting in a detailed manner.
A high quality, archival cotton watercolour paper block, available in unique shapes and in cold pressed or hot pressed textures. Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper comes from a European mill that combines traditional papermaking with the latest technology. For Easy Paper blocks, the papers are glued on 2 edges which holds the top sheet flat and allows for easy removal.This block consists of 15 sheets of 100% cotton, 300gsm, cold pressed watercolour paper. Schmincke Horadam whole pan watercolour sets, containing whole pan samples of the Horadam range, in a steel plate box with thumb-grip, fold-out palette and lid palette.Schmincke's watercolour binding medium is Kordofan Gum Arabic from the Sahara region. Jackson's Two Rivers Handmade Watercolour Paper : NOT surface : 140lb : 22x30in : 5 sheets Made exclusively for Jackson s by the Two Rivers paper mill in Somerset. This paper is conservation quality, made with 100% cotton and linen rag and very hard sized. This means that the surface is incredibly tough, allowing the artist to work the surface for much longer than with more absorbent artists papers. Because the paint is not drawn into the paper the pigment dries to a sharp and brilliant finish. The inclusion of linen in its make-up results in an unusually tough surface which will resist much lifting out, scrubbing and re-working. Reassuringly, the 400 year old mill is also hydro powered making it very environmentally friendly. TR has a unique random surface texture unlike the mechanically even weave of most other branded papers. This also means that there is not a right or wrong side as both sides are identical. As well as watercolour, our papers are used for other media including pastels, oils, printmaking, photographic processes and many types of mixed media. The NOT surface is slightly rougher than most.
Neutral Tint (PBk6, PV19, PB15) is a dark, almost black colour when unsaturated. This product is excellent for darkening other colours without the need for a complementary colour. When mixed with other colours this pigment creates clean, glowing new shades that retain their original transparency.
