This book sets out to provide context for innovating counseling for self- and career construction. It gives readers insight into the theory underlying an innovative, integrative qualitative-quantitative approach to career counseling. Three key ideas recur throughout the book. First, the idea of not dispensing "advice" to people-instead, enabling them to advise themselves. Second, the idea of listening for instead of to people's stories to help them choose and construct careers and themselves and shape their career identities. Third, the idea of helping people connect what they know about themselves consciously with what they are aware of subconsciously. The book confronts some of the main challenges posed by Work 4.0 on the workplace but also foreshadows the imminent advent of Work 5.0. It endeavors to promote career counselors' ability to help people "thrive" at a time when many speculate that work itself is at risk, occupational contexts no longer "hold" workers in the way they used to, and the coronavirus pandemic is disrupting the workplace.

This book is both an analytic and imaginative study of the future role of education in a leisure-based society. This book of 'directions' focuses on cyber security research, education and training in India, and work in this domain within the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. IIT Kanpur's Computer Science and Engineering Department established an 'Interdisciplinary Center for Cyber Security and Cyber Defense of Critical Infrastructures (C3I Center)' in 2016 with funding from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), and other funding agencies. The work at the center focuses on smart grid security, manufacturing and other industrial control system security; network, web and data security; cryptography, and penetration techniques. The founders are involved with various Indian government agencies including the Reserve Bank of India, National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center, UIDAI, CCTNS under home ministry, Ministry of IT and Electronics, and Department of Science & Technology. The center also testifies to the parliamentary standing committee on cyber security, and has been working with the National Cyber Security Coordinator's office in India. Providing glimpses of the work done at IIT Kanpur, and including perspectives from other Indian institutes where work on cyber security is starting to take shape, the book is a valuable resource for researchers and professionals, as well as educationists and policymakers.

Marina Frantseva, MD, PhD Jose Luis Perez Velazquez is a Spanish biochemist/biophysicist. He has a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Molecular Physiology & Biophysics. His research activities are mainly in the fields of the brain-behaviour relation at a high level of description, seeking principles of biological organisation. He worked as a senior scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and was Professor at the University of Toronto, where he taught a graduate course on consciousness and self-awareness, which derived in part from his book The Brain-Behaviour Continuum (World Scientific). He also edited the book Coordinated Activity in the Brain (Springer), and edited special issues for The Journal of Biological Physics, Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience and Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience. Currently he is a Research Scholar at the Ronin Institute, where he continues to investigate a possible global principle, a scheme that combines theoretical studies and experimental observations, aimed at conceptualizing how consciousness arises from the organization of matter.
