"Herbal Remedies: The Guide to Healing Naturally" is the perfect
reference guide to herbs for any home. It contains a concise list
of quite a number of herbs and the ailments that they are typically
used to cure. There is even a section dedicated to the link that
exists between herbs and aromatherapy. Now more than ever before
natural remedies are being selected over the chemically based
treatments. They come with fewer side effects and are gentler in
the long run.
A wide variety of therapies have been identified that help people
reverse the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. One such method is the
use of natural herbs. An advantage of this approach is that herbs
do not require a prescription from a medical doctor. Side effects
are also usually not as problematic as seen with prescription
medications. The challenge everyone faces is to figure out which
herbs are useful for which symptoms and, more importantly, if using
herbs of one type of another might interfere with any prescription
medications. The "go to" man with answers to these questions is
herbalist Andrew Bentley who is an expert in knowing which herbs to
use for which Parkinson's symptoms. Have you ever wondered what
herbs might be useful for people who experience tremors, excessive
salivation, rigidity and depression? Andrew Bentley offers
suggestions for all of these symptoms and more. Herbalist Andrew
Bentley gives us the inside secrets of what herbs help provide
relieve from symptoms of Parkinson's disease. He should know. Many
of his patients have been diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease. His
patients come from as far away as New York City to see him. Herbals
Medicines for Parkinson's Disease is a valuable resources for
anyone looking for natural therapies that offer an opportunity to
reverse neurological symptoms.
Here is a practical guide for all who are interested in herbal and
natural healing, a useful reference for the commonest ailments and
complaints and minor injuries. This guide includes herbal and
natural remedies for more than 50 common ailments, including acne,
arthritis, asthma, athlete's foot, bad back, bedwetting,
bronchitis, chicken pox, cold sores, colds and flu, corns and
calluses, diarrhea, cysts, ganglion cysts, dislocated wrist in
toddlers, diverticulitis, dyspepsia, ear infections, eczema, flu,
gallstones, gout, growing pains, heart disease, hemorrhoids,
impetigo, kidney problems, leg and foot cramps, lice, menopause,
menstrual problems, migraine, moles, nasal sores, pink eye, poison
ivy, postpartum depression, psoriasis, ringworm, rough hands, runny
eyes in infants, scabies, shingles, spurs, thrush, toothache,
ulcers, vomiting, warts, plantar warts, yeast infections, and minor
hurts. Most of the suggested herbs and other preparations are
readily available from herb dealers and health food stores, or
online, and are inexpensive alternatives to conventional medicine.
I have used many, if not most of the suggested remedies, myself,
with success. Others are remedies that I have known others to use
with success, and still others were carefully researched. Many of
the herbs suggested are not just inexpensive, but free, if
collected from fields and roadsides-and sometimes even from your
yard. Many herbs, too, are easily grown in the garden. Directions
are included for preparing infusions, decoctions, tinctures,
syrups, ointments, and salves. Specific directions are included for
making several of the most useful remedies: mullein oil, black
walnut hull tincture, Echinacea tincture, wild cherry cough syrup,
slippery elm tea, elderberry juice, elecampane syrup, castor oil
pack, camphorated oil, balm of Gilead bud ointment, and skin creams
and other skin applications. All these preparations-and many more
for which general directions are given-are easily made at home.
These directions make it easy to make tinctures, syrups, and other
medicinal preparations that would be very costly to purchase.
Herbalism is a healing art that sees the person in a holistic
manner, the mind, the body, the spirit, as one. Lifting one's frame
of mind with Aromatherapy or a herbal tea is as important as making
a poultice for a boil or rash. It is about bringing balance back in
a gentle, nurturing way that limits side-effects. The WHO
recognizes that for most of the world, herbal treatments are used
as a necessity and Herblore is a vital tradition. This 9 Lesson
Course explains the use of herbs in relation to the mind body and
spirit and how to prepare them. Herbalism Final Exam 80% pass rate
is needed to obtain Certificate of Completion. Accredited by the
World Metaphysical Association.
Prior to the outlawing of cannabis in 1937, major pharmaceutical
companies produced a wide variety of cannabis-based medicines, but
cannabis has actually been used as a medicine for thousands of
years. Although it has a long history, the recent discovery (1992)
of the body's widespread endocannabinoid system (ECS) has thrust
cannabis back into the limelight again as a viable medicine. In
2012 over 2.5 million prescriptions were written for medical
marijuana in the United States. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids
found in cannabis. However, while THC produces a "high" in the
user, CBD does not. And now legal CBD-rich hemp oil is available
over-the-counter in all 50 states, without a prescription. It was
discovered that the Hemp Family of plants (cannabis, marijuana) is
loaded with cannabinoids that stimulate our ECS receptor sites.
These sites are found in the brain, organs, glands, connective
tissue and immune cells and plays regulatory roles in many
physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood
and memory. The primary purpose of this system revolves around
maintaining balance in the body. Cannabinoids found in all
varieties of cannabis work in harmony with the cannabinoids we
naturally produce when our system is functioning properly. It is
now coming to light that we may very well be "Endocannabinoid
Deficient" and supplementing with Cannabidiol, known as CBD, may
provide just what we're missing to restore optimum health. The
health benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) from natural hemp oil is this
book's primary focus. It explores the similarities, differences,
uses and benefits of hemp, cannabis and medical marijuana along
with the interplay of THC and CBD. Their 480 other components are
also discussed, such as terpenoids, flavonoids, enzymes, vitamins,
etc. Make no mistake about it, the endocannabinoid system, although
newly discovered, is just as important as any other bodily system,
like the muscular, cardiac, circulatory or digestive system. The
ECS requires its own specialized medicine as found in the Hemp
Family of plants, which is also known as cannabis, and which
includes all strains of marijuana. Here is a list of conditions
known and/or being researched that may be helped by cannabinoid
therapeutics and supplementation: Acne ADD/ADHD Addiction AIDS ALS
(Lou Gehrig's Disease) Alzheimer's Anorexia Antibiotic Resistance
Anxiety Atherosclerosis Arthritis Asthma Autism Bipolar Cancer
Colitis/Crohn's Depression Diabetes Endocrine Disorders
Epilepsy/Seizure Fibromyalgia Glaucoma Heart Disease Huntington's
Inflammation Irritable Bowel Kidney Disease Liver Disease Metabolic
Syndrome Migraine Mood Disorders Motion Sickness Multiple Sclerosis
Nausea Neurodegeneration Neuropathic Pain Obesity OCD Osteoporosis
Parkinson's Prion/Mad Cow Disease PTSD Rheumatism Schizophrenia
Sickle Cell Anemia Skin Conditions Sleep Disorders Spinal Cord
Injury Stress Stroke/TBI 10% of the proceeds from sales of this
book will be donated to the American Cannabis Nurses Association in
an effort to bring together nurses, to share, integrate and one day
certify nurses in the science of endocannabinoid therapeutics in
nursing practice.
"Herbal Remedies & Solutions: An Introduction to the Benefits
of Herbal Remedies" is a wonderful introductory guide that helps
the reader to learn all about herbal remedies and the benefits that
can be had from using them. Through the words of the author, the
reader learns how herbs were used by our predecessors and the place
that holds in modern society today. The thing is that a lot of the
manufactured medication that are on the market today may have been
made using herbal extracts. Some of the physicians are even taking
things back to basics and prescribing herbal remedies for their
patients as they tend to have milder side effects and are extremely
effective.
