Using two texts by Henry Vaughan and John Gillespie Magee, the work charts a journey from a free tempo reflective beginning to a rousing ending, celebratory in tone. The work was first performed by the King's Singers & King's College Choir at King's College Chapel, Cambridge, 1 May 2008.
