Daler Rowney’s Damar varnish has a low gloss finish and is removable. It dries within a few hours, when applied thinly, and will create a hard, clear film. This varnish can be removed with turpentine or white spirit and is compatible with both oils and acrylics.

Instructions:
1. Stir contents before use.
2. Surface to be primed should be clean and free of loose particles.
3. Do not size ground before application. When final coat is thoroughly dry, a second may be applied. Ready for use after 24 hours
4. Glossy or smooth surfaces should be slightly roughed to improve adhesion before applying primer.
5. Avoid exposure to frost and do not apply at temperatures below 5C.

Duo has taken all the handling qualities and the buttery feel of Holbein Artist Oil Colour and made it safer and easier to use. Duo eliminates the odour of solvents in the studio by allowing you to clean brushes, palette, and workspace with soap and water. Because of it's versatility, the possibilities for special techniques and effects using Duo are limited only by one’s imagination.

These fluorescent colours should not be considered permanent. They will degrade with exposure to ultraviolet light. The lifespan of such works can be expanded greatly if they are shielded from ultraviolet light.

In 1985, following extensive research, Old Holland presented a revolutionary range of 168 oil paints, each with the highest degree of lightfastness. Traditional, non-lightfast pigments were replaced with modern lightfast pigments with the same colour characteristics as the traditional ones. Thanks to the highest possible concentration of pigment in each colour, the paint has an unprecedented colour strength. Within the unique range of 168 colours, there is a wide range of opaque and transparent colours, each with the highest possible brilliance (intense) and clarity (clean) characteristics. This paint is bound with Linseed Oil and contains a 25% addition of Zinc Oxide White in order to avert the tendency of pure Titanium Dioxide pigment to express or exude oil to the surface whilst drying, which then causes a more pronounced appearance of yellowing. Zinc Oxide incorporates this free oil more effectively, as well as adding a cooler brightness to the white. If you want a strong mixer which tends to lighten hues conspicuously, as well as making the Cadmiums rather chalky in appearance, then this is it. The handling qualities are not overly subtle, but this is the white most suitable for a bright and largely cool palette. It forms a strong film when dry.
