FIMH 2009 was the ?fth international conference on Functional
Imaging and Modeling of the Heart. It was held in Nice, France,

surgery, biology and physiology. Duringthepast8years,
FIMHhasestablisheditselfasaleadinginternational conference on the
methodological aspects of functional imaging and modeling of
theheartwithastrongemphasisonclinicalapplicationsandvalidation.
Thep- vious conferences were held in Helsinki (2001), Lyon (2003),
Barcelona (2005) and Salt Lake City (2007) with an increasing
number of peer-reviewed articles published in theLecture Notes in
Computer Science proceedings availableatthe time of the event.
