This book examines the use and re-use of digital archives in a unique manner, by combining theoretical and practical approaches to the contemporary digital archive. The world-class National Palace Museum (NPM) in Taiwan possesses a repository of the largest collection of Chinese cultural treasures of outstanding quality. With the expansion of the World Wide Web during the last decade, libraries and their standards face an ever-complex environment, with new types, genres and forms of information resources.
