This book focuses on language and identity online within the
context of running from an interdisciplinary perspective. It brings
together digital ethnography, existential phenomenology,
interpretative phenomenological analysis and sporting embodiment in
the pursuit to explore runners' lived experiences and identities
online. Language, identity and identity online are often studied in
broader social contexts such as education, culture and politics,
and running is intimately related to key issues in contemporary
society, such as health and exercise, sport and nationalism,
embracing a variety of discourse types and having implications more
generally for our identity as human beings. The evolving online
media through which people make sense of who they are and which
groups they belong to are enabling new ways of realising identities
and relationships. This book will be of interest to applied
linguists, discourse analysts, as well as those interested in
sports, sports psychology, and identity enactment.
What are the raw ingredients of long-term success, and how are they
best mixed together to achieve your business goals? Overnight
success is one thing, but success that is sustained is a completely
different - and much more challenging - discipline. Steve Redgrave
is uniquely placed to how long-term success is achieved. During his
sporting career, Steve learned to face the challenges of redefining
goals, learning new skills, fighting off renewed competition,
making difficult choices and staying motivated. In ENDURING
SUCCESS, Steve mixes his view on the nature of success with the key
lessons of leading businesses, people and brands. The result is a
fresh take on long-term success.
Das Thema Flow ist in aller Munde. Wer im Flow ist, scheint
leistungsfähiger, erfolgreicher, glücklicher zu sein. Was genau
Flow-Coachings. Letztere versprechen oft den einfachen Weg zum
Erfolg, vereinfachen manche Sachverhalte aber zu sehr. Michele Ufer
