The natural toothy surface of Art Spectrum Colourfix paper is a superb substrate for dry media such as soft pastels, charcoal and pencils. This paper has been hand primed and dried, as a result, it may slightly curl. Hot pressed European watercolour paper, screen printed with Art Spectrum Colourfix Primer, making 340gsm pastel paper.

Clairefontaine Ingres is a laid paper, which means that the surface of each sheet has a faintly ribbed texture, perfect for holding graphite and soft pastel colour. This surface is characteristic of the traditional hand-made papers of the pre-Industrial age, which were formed in sieve-like moulds of wire mesh which left impressions on the surface of the paper.This sheet is made of cotton and is naturally acid-free.
